Chapter 98

Soon Soo Hyuk, who was close to the next destination, stopped walking.
‘As expected.’
Just as he had expected, there was a crossroad laying ahead of him which was not drawn on the map.
“I am looking forward to your cooperation.”
Looking back at Ketoto, he said.
“Ok! Don’t worry! Should protect from those stings!”
Ketoto enthusiastically replied to Soo-hyuk’s words. As he heard the reply was full of energy, the same as when they first met. Soo Hyuk reassured, turned back and headed towards the left pathway.
The darkness hit Soo Hyuk as soon as he entered the pathway, causing him to open his inventory, take out his crystal ball and activate it.
[100 Mana is consumed every 10 seconds. .]
Upon the message, a bright light was spread ensuring visibility. Moving along the pathway, soon, Soo Hyuk reached its end.
“Is a quest really necessary for me to see?”
There was nothing visible at the end of the pathway. Does he really need a quest to see the recovery magic?
“Or there is none?”
If not, do they even exist?
“Well, I ‘ll find out once I try.”
And with that thought, Soo Hyuk widened the distance between him and the invisible magic circle. He would know once he confirms.
“Fire Storm!”
Soo Hyuk, who was now far away, cast the spell ‘FireStorm’.
Suaak!
A storm of fire appeared. And soon after, a message appeared.
[Recovery Magic Circle has been destroyed.]
[Chimera Summoning Mage D will no longer be recovered.]
[Recovery Magic has been destroyed, revealing the Trap magic.]
These messages were shown confirming the destruction of the Recovery magic circle.
“I don’t really need a quest.” The conclusion Soo Hyuk got was that he didn’t need a quest to destroy the magic circles but he did need one to see them. And the destroyed magic circle right now was the proof.
“All in all, I don’t need to look for a quest.”
But what if nothing had happened?
Maybe then he would have gone to the summoning magic circle and received the quest. His experiments saved them a lot of time.
Soo Hyuk voice-called Kamian.
– Soo Hyuk: It’s been destroyed.
-Kamian: Ok! I’ll tell him.
After Kamian’s reply, Soo Hyuk carefully walked back along the path to avoid the ‘Trap magic’.
“Are you here?”
As soon as Soo Hyuk arrived at the entrance, he saw Ketoto holding a shield and blocking the entrance of the right pathway.
“…”
The shield was constantly protecting the fierce blow from the chimera’s sting. With all the work, Ketoto had a very content look on his face.
“Yes.”
Soo Hyuk answered while he approached Ketoto. There he saw the Foblins blowing out their venoms out front.
‘There are a lot.’
There were a whole lot of them.
“Did you find the strongest one yet?”
Soo Hyuk asked while looking at the chimeras. And of course, the question was subjected to K-Cross.
In the previous quest, Wolf-Orc’s Mid-Boss had a health of 5 million. So, they were expecting the Foblins to have the same as well.

“No, not yet…”
K-Cross vaguely answered.
Just then.
Piik! Kanng!
Suddenly, a poisonous sting flew in and got stuck in the shield, making a crack.
“Huh?”
Ketoto, who was the first to notice the crack in the shield, spoke out with a perplexed voice. Soo Hyuk too, noticed that unlike the other stingers which were reflected right back, this one not only stayed but also managed to make a crack.
Piik! Kanng!
Similarly, another poison sting was stuck in the shield, though at the same time the others were still being repelled by the shield resulting in them to fall on the ground. Clearly, this poisonous sting was the same as the other one stuck in the shield. They were certain it must have been from the mid-boss’s poison.
“Poison Storm!”
If it goes on at this pace, the shield might get broken. And if it breaks, there would be no stopping of the poisonous stings from the Foblins. Soo Hyuk cast his spell, and a whirlwind of the poisonous storm appeared. Swallowing a whole lot of Foblins, sweeping them with their own poisonous stings.
Inside a huge pot.
– Ugh!
-Krrrrk!
Seems that the pot was filled with some sort of purple liquid. And within the liquid were ogres and trolls throwing up and groaning in pain.
Ramos, who was silently observing the orc and the trolls inside the pot narrowed his eyes.
“Haa, seems to be another failure…”
The creatures inside stopped their screams, leading to the conclusion that they were dead. And them being dead means failure in the experiment.
“I think I’ll take a rest for the day.”
Muttering to himself Ramos got up from his seat. Then getting up, he asked his subordinate, Galard, who was patiently waiting nearby.
“Are we having some trouble with the production?”
“Not really, except the number of wolves have decreased and it’s affecting the production of the Wolf-Orc chimeras.”
“Hmm, I see.”
Answering Gelard, Ramos nodded. Then he passed Gelard and came out of the chamber. He began to walk around the pathway as if he knew them, what road would take him out of the underground cave.
–Chwiik! I-It hurts! Arrrghh!
-Aaooww!
-Grrr!
He heard a familiar scream, so he didn’t think of it much and without any reaction, Ramos moved out of the underground cave.
Ramos, who just came out, walked into the house which he built outside the cave and thought.
“Well, the Ogres and Troll would be quite useful.”
There were a lot of materials needed to make the chimeras. And the most important was the creatures needed to be synthesised to transform them into chimeras. But he had no monsters in sight. Though the Ogres and Trolls were eye-catching, they had never succeeded in transforming into a chimera.
Ramos, who entered his house, stopped walking and sneered. Tilting his head, he frowned.
The reason for his frown was, the six crystal spheres that were sitting at the top of his bookcase, were losing their light.
“The Magic Circle has been destroyed?”
His work was not only to make the chimeras but also transport them into the various parts of the world/continent using the summoning magic circles.

Ramos used the crystal balls to tell him the status/conditions of the magic circles that he uses to transport the chimeras. And the loss of light means that the connection was gone meaning, the magic circles were destroyed.
“But I’ve also made the Recovery magic circles.”
He made it in the hopes that if there were a problem with the Summoning magic circles he would use it to restore them. Clearly, the recovery magic circles were destroyed too, showing the loss of light in the crystal.
“Are they being serious?”
Ramos knew every position where the magic circles were installed.
“No, no mercenaries can get past my poison.”
He knew that all the magic circles connected to the six crystals sitting on top of his bookcase were installed in Hadrac.
He didn’t understand, even if all the mercenaries were being serious, no one was at that level where they could defeat his poisonous chimeras.
“Is it Fabian, that son of a bitch moving against me?”
Suddenly, Ramos frowned, his eyes filled with darkness.
Just then another crystal ball which was a few moments ago emitting light lost its brightness. One of the four crystal balls which were placed at the fourth row from above lost its light.
Romos’ own eyes dimmed as soon as he remembered which magic circle was connected to the fourth crystal. He was shocked, it was a place where he was sure no one would ever find.
“…Will I get caught?”
Nothing has progressed yet, he was waiting for the right time. But as soon as he saw the light gradually faded from the crystal, he felt like he caught the presence of the chimeras.
“Are they crazy, what the hell are they doing?”
Knock! Knock!
Ramos heard a knock, disturbing his trail of thoughts.
“Who is it?”
After a pause, Ramos asked.
As soon as the door opened, a man wearing black robe came in.
“Master has called for an emergency meeting.”
“Master?”
“Yes, we are being called immediately.”
This chapter is scrapped from readlightnovel.org
“What happened?”
“I’m not sure. Mow, I have got to go. Still have to rely on the message to the others.”
Bowing his head to Ramos, the man closed the door and walked out. Ramos, who was already annoyed at the ongoing situation, was left flabbergasted at the man’s behaviour.
“You think you can be rude, just because you are a bit favoured by the Master.”
If that man weren’t favoured, he would have been killed right away.
“Hmph!”
Ramos almost burned holes at the door with his eyes, where the man had left. When he turned back to look at the crystals, he saw four of those crystal balls lost their respective light.
“Reinstalling them is almost impossible”
Just to set up the Magic Circle it takes a lot of time and money. It took a lot of time and money to set up the Magic Circle. Simply reinstalling them would be a waste of those resources.
Getting out of the house, Ramos went inside the warehouse which he built beside his house. He had a magic circle installed on its floor. He stepped forward into the circle, and soon he was engulfed with its magic.
[Chimera Summoning Magic circle has been destroyed]
[The Lion-Kobold summoned from the Summoning Magic Circle were summoned back.]
‘Three more places to go.’
Soo Hyuk, who destroyed the recent magic circle, turned back.
“Let’s go!”
Then with Kamian and the Koma Guild members, he proceeded towards his next destination.
Moving along, Soo Hyuk checked the time.
‘Four o’clock.’
Except for the half-hour lunchtime in the middle, he spent nearly six and a half hours trying to complete the quest in the underground waterways.
‘It’s taking quite a long time.’
This quest of killing the chimeras as well as destroying the magic circles didn’t take much of their time. But them moving from one place to another was consuming the most.
‘At this speed, I think I might finish the quest today.’
Though it was taking a lot of time to move, with their speed they wight destroy all the magic circles in a day.
‘And…’
Soo-hyuk opened a character window.

‘Soon it will be 200.’
He calculated that destroying the remaining three magic circles will bring his level to 200. Soo-hyuk then closed the character window. And opened his quest window.
〈The Troubled Underground Waterway〉
In the underground sewers of Hadrac, chimeras suddenly began appearing in the waterways. Ian and Alex made the decision to clean up the underground waterways, but the chimeras were strong and possessed powerful poison. In the end, the expedition failed, and the most they could achieve was to prevent the chimeras from escaping. Clean the underground waterways of the chimeras and identify their source!

[Quest reward: S-Rank Promotion, ??? ]
‘I’ll be done.’
He was sure by the end of the day he would complete the quest ‘The Troubled Underground Waterway’.
‘Soon, I’ll reach 200, so all I have left is…’
〈Preparation Period〉
Roman, never thought you’d bring the key this quickly. He assumed it would take at least a week. But Roman needed a week’s time. This is because he needed to make the physical condition normal. So, visit Roman in a week!
[Delta’s/Kelta’s Secret Key to the Cave: 1 / 1]
[Time Remaining: 4 Days]
[Quest Rewards: Cave Exploration]
In this seemingly quest ‘Preparation Period’ given by Roman, he had four days to complete it.
But he excluded this day, he had 3 days left in his hands.
‘Three days…’
Looking at the quest, Soo Hyuk smiled.
‘It’s been a while since I had so much free time in my hands.’
He thought of allthe unexplored books in the library, making him smile. And so he closed his quest window.
Soon after.
“Huh!”
Kamian exclaimed in shock.
With a puzzled look on his face, Soo Hyuk looked at Kamian.
“Soo Hyuk.”
Seeing his puzzled eyes, Kamian called him.
“What’s wrong?”
Soo Hyuk asked, and looked at Kamian who had his mouth wide open.
“When did we complete another condition? Suddenly, it just went up from three to four.”
