Chapter 230: Dungeon City – Avering

The next morning, after an early breakfast, we dropped our house key off at the Merchant’s Guild before setting leaving Verulean.
Oh, just for everyone’s information, we had Soboro for breakfast. The rice bowl is topped with chopped lettuce, Soboro-style minced meat and soft-boiled eggs.
Everyone ate a lot, even more than usual since we’re going on a long journey soon. However, I made sure to eat less so that I don’t get sick on the way. [6] I don’t think Fer would appreciate me throwing up on him.
Since we’ve already said our goodbyes to Marks-san yesterday, we could leave right after dropping off the key.
I am really glad I made the decision to eat less breakfast today because Fer is going, really, really fast. Perhaps he’s too excited about diving into the dungeons?
Since our party has really fierce members, not a single monster dared to get in our way. Which meant we reached the next city in record time.
Dora-chan took this opportunity to reminisce, “Ah, this reminds me of that Troll last time. Those things look big and tough, but their heads are stuffed with grass!” [5]
That’s right, we encountered one major enemy on our way to Verulean. [5] [6] Well, I said one major enemy, but it only stuck out in my head because of the quarrel Fer and Dora-chan got into later that made me remember it. I had to coax a sulking Fer later.
I had kind of forgotten most of the monsters we encountered. They mostly ended up being sources of meat or money to me except… I try not to think of those monsters which could never be taken out of the [Item Box]…

Speaking of which, I should try and do some trading since I’m still half a Merchant. That’s right, let’s go visit Avering’s Merchant’s Guild too. I want to do something normal while I’m there.
The whole trip was relatively smooth. [1] The only exciting thing that happened was Fer leaping over some caravans moving in the same direction as us.
About five days later, we saw the high walls surrounding Avering City.
“So, that’s the dungeon city, eh?”
“As expected of a dungeon city, it’s rather lively, na.”
The line of people waiting to enter the city is quite long. Similar to Doran. Looks like dungeon cities will always be popular with both merchants and Adventurers.
“We may have to line up for a long time, so let’s go now,”
“Umu,”

“Phew, we’re finally in.”
It took us nearly an hour of queuing before we finally reach the city gates.
Sui’s fine because she naps in her bag, but I had a hard time trying to convince Fer and Dora-chan not to climb over the walls. [TZ1]
“It’s a stupid waste of time. Isn’t it so much easier to just go over the walls?”
“Yeah! I can just fly over that thing!” [5]
“Yes, yes, getting in would be quick. But what if we get into trouble later? What if they don’t allow us into the dungeon because we broke the rules?” Trespassing or forcible entry into a city is a crime and the punishments are quite harsh.
“Umu, well, I did not jump over the walls because of that. It would be a pity to miss the dungeon because of human pettiness.”
“That’s right, that’s right, we’ve come all the way here just for the dungeon. So don’t screw it up now.”

It was tedious to stand in line, but it was finally our turn. Our entry was very smooth. [2] The magic of a golden guild card was quite strong. Nobody even questions Fer or Dora-chan’s presence.
Well, when they saw the ‘S’ on the golden VIP card, Fer and Dora-chan did not get a second look, but I did. I got a second look and even a third look. [1] Sorry if this skinny looking guy doesn’t look like an S Ranker Adventurer, but it’s true.
Anyway, I thought it was kind of rude for them to stare longer than 20 seconds.
At any rate, we got in.
The first thing I did was find out the location of the Adventurer’s Guild. Let’s see, left from the gate and go on until I see a large building. [5]

Naturally, as the dungeon city guild, Avering’s Adventurer’s Guild was huge. [2] In fact, it might even be bigger than Doran’s. The building looked pretty new too.
I entered with my familiars and showed the receptionist my Golden S Class VIP card and sure enough, the receptionist stood up with a ‘please excuse me’ and hurried off.
She soon came back with someone…
“Ou! So you’re Mukouda-san? I’ve heard a lot about you from Marks. I’m Nadia, the Guild Master of Avering’s Adventurer’s Guild. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
I stood there in a trance. The woman before me appeared to be in her 30s with long wavy red hair. She looked very robust and tall. [1] When I say tall I mean hugely tall!
She has to be about 2 meters tall!
A 2-meter-tall beautiful woman sure packs a huge impact.
“Gahahaha! I bet you’re surprised at my size. Guys who meet me for the first time always react like that. If I leave you like this, you’ll probably be standing there in a daze for a long time.”
Pushyuuu….
I felt something deflated. It was probably my ego, possibly my pride…
It’s kind of painful…
“Anyway, we have lots to talk about so come here!”
I was literally dragged away by Nadia-san into the Guild Master’s room. I look pitifully at Fer and Dora-chan who followed us with a bored look on their faces.
Fer, Dora-chan, I can count on you to protect me, right?
Right?
[TZ1: It would have been quite easier, right? :D]
[Gumihou: True, also, I don’t think they’d get into too much trouble either. S Class Whatever is known to be wild and crazy, lol]

[BASICALLY UPDATES SATURDAYS, TRY NOT TO PRESSURE ME, I'LL BREAK. BUT IF YOU LEAVE COMMENTS I'LL [PROBABLY] GAIN BRAIN FUEL TO POWER ON WITH WRITING. Mind you, this is a personal project, because I love OP fem protags, but there aren't enough lesbian/bi harem stories out there, so I wanted to make one... Because I think monster girls are hot, okay? Don't slander me, I sass then have emotional breakdowns.]

Martial Family
Shi Yan was a lonely orphan boy. That was only till he met an injured fox hiding under the bushes, whimpering. After much care and concern, the fox soon became his irreplaceable kin. When the situation was just starting to turn colourful, Mistress of the Orphanage found the little fox hiding under Shi Yan's bed. After the little fox-faced relentless torture and abuse, Shi Yan took revenge. The youth stole from the Mistress and ran off. With only the fox in his arm and a small pouch of stolen goods, he never looked back. *Well, I tried... This story is written in my spare time just for fun. It's very experimental so readers; do note. There are major changes in writing style within the series as I keep testing things out. Of course, that does not mean that the story actually deviates from its intended progress. It just means that your reading experience may fluctuate quite often... Anyways, I hope you enjoy this story. :D p.s. not sure if there will be any sex scene in this novel but the boy starts off as 7... so... long time till we get there. May have lollies though! An Id of Primal Chaos
TAG DISCLAIMER: The tags 'Portal Fantasy / isekai', 'High Fantasy', and 'Non-Human Lead' do not take place until later on in the novel. Probably mid-way through the first volume. The 'villainous lead' tag is a very loose tag. Some of the things the mc does can be considered villainous to those with a staunch moral code, however, I have not made the mc out to be overtly villainous. True Title: Advent of the Silent Storm (I came up with the original title a while ago, before I had even written a single chapter. It still kind of fits but this new title fits a lot better. I would change it but I don't know if it would screw up the recommendation algorithm.) Excerpt: My mind wanders through the soup of unconsciousness, still startlingly awake despite my physical form’s stasis. Electricity completely paralyzes the air around me and lightning flashes in a constant strobe of blinding light. The ground, thousands of feet below my being has been wiped clean of all manmade artifice and natural beauty; leveled, through absolute power. My power. Synopsis: Tetal Faelen, a very successful businessman with lofty goals, is introduced to an omniscient being through less than pleasant means. This being has an irresistible offer for Tetal with next to no downside. Tetal can’t help but wonder, “What’s the catch?” Additional Notes: Second novel I have started within the Web of Interconnected Realities. My other novel is not posted on this site so don't bother looking for it. I might post it here in the future.

Scholar of the Fog
Leaving a trail of blood as he climbed up a hill, his limbs felt like lead. He was gasping too, his lungs burning with every step he took. It felt like a bundle of broken glass was scraping away the inner walls of his flesh. He was dying, obvious to both him and his pursuers. And it would not be long till he dropped dead as he bled away. If not, the people chasing him would surely finished what they had came for. It was as if the Gods themselves had already predestined his fate. He took one step forward and stood at the peak of the hill. He let his legs rest as he could barely go on. Heaving deep breaths, he could hear sneering voices and shouts behind him. They were close, and the grim realization stoked the embers of his most primal fear. He did not want to die. He had dreams, like any other youth. There was glory to be had in this world. He wanted to learn more of life, and lived through its motions. He wanted to live. He swept his gaze, and across him was a spanning forest of old. With a glint in his eyes, and jaws clenched, he decided to gamble with all he had. He was dying, and by now, it did not matter where his grave was. He ran down the hill, and stopped where the plains and the forest met. His eyes swept about the trees, and he could feel an instinctual urge to drag himself away. He knew what this forest was, and here, he would find his salvation. Or his doom. The voices behind him grew closer, and among the noise was the faint clanging of steel. Gritting his teeth, he ousted all the will he had from the depths of his soul and stepped forth into the forest. Damned he be by the Gods if they wanted him dead. -new synopsis 10/6/2016 ---------- A new chapter would be released every friday. And the quality of writing should improve each time, hopefully. Another important thing to mention is how the story as of now, is only a bedrock for a massive world if it ever gets there.
