I Don’t Want To Defy The Heavens Chapter 504

Chapter 504: Would Anyone Believe What Happened To Me?
“Young Master Lin, you really are despicable.”
Zhu Daoshen’s heart was filled with rage but he knew that this wasn’t the time to be angry with Lin Fan. What happened next was more important.
Heaven Covering Demon Sect was a top Evil Alliance sect and since they knew their identity, it would affect what happened next.
Their actions would probably have a huge influence on the situation.
But all of that wasn’t important anymore.
Lin Fan frowned, “Those words are a little too much. When did Sect Leader become so despicable? I am trading with all of you and I told you to come to Heaven Covering Demon Sect to help. You didn’t say that I needed to hide your identity. Moreover, what is there to be afraid of? Doesn’t the Alliance Headquarters want to occupy our land? Isn’t it normal for you to be the frontline warriors?”
Zhu Daoshen really wanted to curse.
But he didn’t.
As expected, from the start, Lin Fan wasn’t planning to be nice. He had been slowly leading them toward a hole.
Wu Zhige was a hot-tempered person. He looked at Lin Fan as if he wanted to swallow him up.
“You can say anything you want now, but you have killed the two of us already.” Zhu Daoshen said.
For some reason, he regretted it.
If he knew that this would happen, he wouldn’t have agreed to trade with Lin Fan on the side.
Lin Fan smiled. He felt that Zhu Daoshen and Wu Zhige were quite funny. If he didn’t cheat them, then could he have doted on them? Look at their relationship. They were enemies with one another and would break out into war at any moment.
Zhu Daoshen stared at Lin Fan and then said, “Are you thinking about running now?” He knew that Lin Fan couldn’t be trusted. He cheated them here and caused them to have animosity with the Evil Alliance which would be chalked up to the Alliance Headquarters. His plan was really cunning and vicious.
From the start till now he had trusted Lin Fan but that trust was gone now.
He really wanted to slap his head.
Why had he given him his trust?
Damn.
But what Lin Fan said next stunned him and filled him with disbelief.
“Run? Why should I run? One must be honest. Since I agreed to your request I shall follow it. Let’s go. It is time I did something for the two of you.” Lin Fan said.
“What did you say?” Zhu Daoshen felt that he had heard something incorrectly. He looked at Lin Fan with a stunned expression.
Lin Fan took a look and walked forwards. He said impatiently, “What is there to say? Are we going to leave? If you aren’t, then I’m going to.”

Zhu Daoshen and Wu Zhige glanced at each other. The two of them were stunned and felt that the development of matters was quite weird. Although it was what they hoped for, Lin Fan was just too strange. They felt that Lin Fan was hiding something.
“Can we trust him?”
“I don’t know. I feel like there is a problem.”
The two of them followed behind Lin Fan but they were in deep thought. For some reason, they actually started to believe that they definitely couldn’t bring the kid back.
But if they didn’t capture Lin Fan, then all their hard work would go to waste. Everything would just go to waste…
Lin Fan realized that their expressions weren’t quite right.
He didn’t say anything more.
What a weird person…
He was already willing to return to the Alliance Headquarters with them and they didn’t believe him. They were really such tough people.
Zhu Daoshen really didn’t understand and asked, “Are you really willing to return to the Alliance Headquarters with us?”
Lin Fan said, “Of course, a man must be trustworthy. I said I would follow you back, so that’s what I’m going to do. I definitely wouldn’t lie to the two of you.”
At that moment, for some reason, Zhu Daoshen actually felt that this kid was an honest person.
Although he was a little despicable, an honest and despicable person was just too rare.
“I hope that you didn’t lie to us.” Zhu Daoshen said.
Lin Fan shook his head and smiled. He didn’t want to say much about Zhu Daoshen’s worry. He wouldn’t gain any benefits from lying to them and he also had something important to do in Alliance Headquarters.
….
Heaven Covering Old Demon had suffered heavy losses. The surrounding environment was like hell and even his Dao Artifact had been stolen. How could Heaven Covering Old Demon accept that?
“Alliance Headquarters, those damn people…”
Heaven Covering Old Demon blamed Alliance Headquarters for all of this. If not for the two Alliance strongest nine-star generals holding him back, this wouldn’t have happened at all.
At the same time, it made him think about something.
Lin Fan was actually colluding with the Alliance Headquarters. This was a really complicated situation.
Evil Alliance Meeting Hall.
It had been a period of time since Heaven Covering Demon Sect had faced that situation.
“What I said was true. Lin Fan brought Zhu Daoshen and Wu Zhige to cause trouble in Heaven Covering Demon Sect. They had been working together a long time ago while we are having internal conflicts. If this continues, one day Evil Alliance will cease to exist and they will wipe out all the sects.”
Heaven Covering Old Demon stood in the middle of the meeting hall and described the crisis that he had been through.
The people gathered here were all Evil Alliance old demons.

Some of them looked on coldly, some gloated, and some felt afraid.
“Your words are a little too serious.” An old demon said.
Many people nodded their heads in agreement and felt that it was too serious.
Evil Spirit Old Ancestor said, “I think that things aren’t as easy as we think. Think about it, who informed us about Lin Fan, it was Alliance Headquarters. They knew about Lin Fan, so why didn’t they do it themselves. Instead, they asked us to do it. At the start, I thought that Alliance Headquarters feared Lin Wanyi.”
“It seemed like that wasn’t the case. Lin Fan definitely has something going on with the Alliance. There had been a plot since the start and this kid started the war between the four alliances. So, this was all because of the Alliance. They wanted us to kill one another to reduce our power.”
Evil Spirit Old Ancestor’s conjecture was backed by proof and he made it sound like it was all true.
It sounded like there was nothing wrong at all.
Thus, all the people present felt coldness in their hearts. It was as if they had fallen into an unbelievably terrifying trap.
Evil Spirit Old Ancestor said, “The crucial thing is that we have to tell this to everyone. Lin Wanyi’s son colluded with the Alliance. At the same time, I am going to ask for war to stop. We can’t continue to fall for the Alliance’s trap.”
He felt that everyone would agree with what he said.
After all, he was doing this for their good. If everyone acted on their own accord, the outcome would be a disaster.
Now, no matter what others thought, Evil Spirit Old Ancestor felt really good.
Old Demon Wuwei had the highest status in Xiedao Sect. He didn’t say anything not because he didn’t know about anything, but because he didn’t want to say anything.
What shocked him was that the two strongest nine-star generals were on the same side as Lin Fan. They would even attack Heaven Covering Demon Sect. Which sect would even be able to deal with such a strong force?
Even Xiedao Sect couldn’t.
….
In a secluded and mysterious place.
“I have gotten what you wanted. Have you brought what I wanted?” An illusionary voice spread over.
Zhen Ming looked at the mysterious person of unknown gender. He tossed a shining red stone over.
The person’s palm was transparent and after receiving the thing, he tossed a piece of recording equipment to Zhen Ming.
“The trade is complete but you really have the balls to dare to act against the Alliance.” The mysterious person said.
Zhen Ming looked at him, “I don’t hope for any third party to find out.”
“Don’t worry, I am a professional. If there is anything else, you can look for me in the future. But I want something else.” The mysterious person laughed and slowly disappeared from the spot.
Zhen Ming looked at the equipment in his hand and his expression became dark and cold. He left the spot and dashed towards the distance.
Alliance territory.
Zhu Daoshen and Wu Zhige brought Lin Fan back.
Lin Fan had never come to the Alliance before and now under the guidance of the two strongest nine-star generals, he was led here unobstructed.
“If you treat me like this, will they really believe that I was captured?” Lin Fan smiled and asked. His wrist was tied up by ropes formed by Dao Patterns.
For a normal person, such ropes were tough to break free from.
But for Lin Fan? He was someone who was able to fight the strongest nine-star generals head-on. What were the use of Dao Patterns? With just a simple shrug, he could break free.
Zhu Daoshen looked at Lin Fan and his eyes shone, “In just a short while someone will come and receive you. When that happens, you can leave. But you must ensure that you can’t harm the Alliance civilians.”
“Keke.” Lin Fan smiled. He raised his head and looked at him, “That request is a little demanding but alright. I can’t be bothered killing powerless people but you must ensure that if a war breaks out, you can’t injure those helpless natives.”
“Okay, deal.” Zhu Daoshen replied.
Wu Zhige frowned. He felt that Zhu Daoshen’s actions weren’t too good. But since things had reached such a stage, he couldn’t say anything. They were ants on the same rope, so what choice did he have?
This was why although he was unhappy with the terms that Zhu Daoshen agreed to, there was nothing he could do.
News of Lin Wanyi’s son being captured spread throughout the Alliance.
Those who felt that Zhu Daoshen and Wu Zhige would fail were astonished.
Wow…
Were they on drugs? They actually really managed to capture him.
When the commander heard this, he smiled.
They didn’t fail, otherwise, it would be hard for them to explain themselves.
Some Alliance reporters smelled some meat and surged over, wanting to get useful news right away.
When Lin Fan saw the Alliance environment, he felt like he had returned to the past.
High buildings gave off a modern and futuristic feel to it.
“Such a decent place.” Lin Fan smiled and said.
Zhu Daoshen had been paying attention to Lin Fan’s expression. Normally speaking, someone who saw such a world would be shocked. After all, the native’s technology level was so terrifyingly low, or rather one could say that they had no technology at all.
How could he not have any thoughts when he saw all the advanced things?
But what he didn’t know was that Lin Fan wasn’t even a native; he was someone who had lived in modern society.

A Titan's Crusade
Erik Thayne spent most of his life being brutally ridiculed and tormented for his weight and physical appearance, among other things. A social pariah and diagnosed with an eating disorder no one has an explanation or treatment for, Erik spent years trying to overcome his issues with his personal image and escape the ridicule and vicious torment of his peers. After years of dedicated effort, and a fresh start in a town away from his childhood and adolescent tormentors, he had finally begun to truly realize what he'd been striving for all along. Only, fate apparently has other plans because in the blink of an eye, Erik found himself snatched from Earth and taken to another universe, another world, where he is offered the chance to be more than he'd ever imagined. Now, he has to fight to restore the Balance between Chaos and Order on a world of swords and magic, in a universe governed by the System's laws, which resemble those of RPGs from Earth. Erik learned to embrace the things about himself that others taught him to hate, using them to reforge his physical identity into something more removed from his old self-loathing. But can he learn to embrace the darkest parts of his mind just as he did the reviled aspects of his body and become who he needs to be to succeed in the task set before him? It might just prove easier to stalk in the dark as a monster than to walk in the light as a man... *This is my first time publishing anything I've written to a public audience. Due to formatting issues, I forwent traditional stat-screens for something a little less problematic, delineating stat screens by separating them from regular text with horizontal lines in a lighter-grey coloration. Let me know if you like them or not. Criticism is entirely welcome, but please don't hate on my work after only reading 1 chapter. This is a writing project I intend to complete but I have committment problems so we'll see how long this goes on. Also, fair warning, as the description implies, the main protagonist is intended to be someone who has been treated cruelly, developed antisocial tendencies, and ultimately has to question his own humanity--or lack thereof. This story is not intended to be brutally dark but I will definitely be trying to follow a darker theme. It is intended to be violent and some scenes later in the story might be...alarming. There will likely also be some light, non-graphic (think more implied with crude jokes and conversation than actual details, there will be no full-blown sex scenes)relationship scenes planned later and if you're opposed to either a bisexual or gay main character, stay away. I haven't yet decided which way he's going to swing but the odds on him being straight are relatively miniscule, and I've always wanted to write a story about a gay man who basically looks like a lumberjack because who doesn't like giving conventional stereo-types the middle finger? This will NOT be a harem story, and I have no intention to focus on romance over action--it's a consequence of character development where I'm concerned, not the be-all-end-all of the story. The cover-art does not, in any way, belong to me. It was an image titled the Druid King (by duskanmarkovic according to the file name) which I found on Google Images. Until I can get something commissioned, this is the best stand-in image I could find.

Contact First
2039 - Earth A narrow beam energy signal appeared aimed squarely at earth from the TRAPPIST system. The communication consisted of a layered set of repeating data over several thousand wavelengths. Over the next few months scientists discovered that the lower wavelengths carried an encoded numerical language which could then be used to interpret the more complicated messages carried on the higher wavelengths. After half a year of painstaking work the signal was fully decoded. It described a small satellite launched along a precise trajectory towards the fourth planet of our solar system. Included was a package of advanced research that humanity would need to have ready in order to receive the satellite and decelerate it safely. The alien data provided the kick that humanity needed to turn from petty squabbling and unite to explore the final frontier. Major government and corporate leaders worked together to create the framework for the United Federation of Sol. UFS spaceports went from scaffolding to daily launches in every major city around the globe. Ships floated like dandelion seeds, spreading on solar wind to grow into colonies. 2397 - Mars orbit, Egeria Station The command center was a hive of activity as checks were conducted and systems initialized. Scientists flitted by like mayflies as communicators beeped and holoscreens spat out green tinted readouts. Nervous energy was thick in the air as everyone anticipated the culmination of over three hundred years of work. Massive fusion reactors under the planet's surface thrummed with barely restrained power as energy fed into a gleaming metallic maze criss crossing the planet. Metal fingers reached up, overshadowing the mighty olympus mons and trying to grab the stars. All over the solar system, people quickly turned to look as gigantic energy lances shot from the dusty fourth planet. Two years later. The same people that clapped loudly at the successful activation of project Hermes now wait with baited breath. A silver capsule trailing bright photonic sails is captured by a net of grav beams and guided with care bordering on reverence into the station. Holoscreens across the headquarters project an image of the sleek craft settling in the bay. Data connections are established and the holoscreens blink to white. Slowly an image forms on the screen. Across the headquarters people stare in wonder as a wholly alien face stares back. "Contact established. Welcome to the universe."
