I Don’t Want To Defy The Heavens Chapter 25

Chapter 25
In front of the table, Lin Wanyi looked at the poison-like dishes and didn’t know which to touch first .
He could only enjoy a cup of wine himself .
He enjoyed it for a moment .
His brow relaxed .
He placed down the wine cup and wanted to say something .
“Father, say what you have to say after you finish eating . Have a taste . They are my favourite dishes . ” Lin Fan picked up a piece of black egg and also an overly fried tomato . He placed it in Lin Wanyi’s bowl .
“Old Wu, eat too . ”
Lin Fan was really warm . As for him allocating farmland to the refugees, he chose to forget about it .
He wouldn’t be the one to bring it up .
He also couldn’t let his father talk about it .
He wanted to use these dishes he personally cooked to cause his father to yield . To let him immerse himself fully in how good the food tastes .
Lin Wanyi and Old Wu exchanged glances with one another .
Looking at the thing that couldn’t even be considered food in the bowl, he picked it up and tasted it .
It entered his mouth .
His tongue was provoked and instantly retracted .
It went into his throat .
His taste buds exploded, and it felt horrible .
In the battle between his taste buds and food, food won .
Lin Wanyi and Old Wu looked totally different, they didn’t even have a single expression as they swallowed the food .
“Fan’er…”
Even the way he called him changed, he didn’t call him unfilial child like before .
The way he called him before was pretty bad; this felt more affectionate than before .
“Father, eat first and don’t speak . I will pour wine for you . ” Lin Fan didn’t give his father a chance to speak . He filled up the wine glass and then helped place dishes into his bowl .
Very quickly, Lin Wanyi’s bowl was filled with dishes .
“Rage +11 . ”
Lin Fan didn’t understand the 11 rage points .
What was going on?
Where did it come from?
Who was angry?
It was impossible to come from Father .

I made a table of dishes with such difficulty . He should feel touched, so how could he be angry?
At this moment, Old Wu wanted to leave .
Why did he have to suffer this pain?
Were these dishes for humans to eat?
They were either really salty or bitter .
The key was that it was totally overcooked .
People could see that the dishes were made horribly . However, Young Master didn’t sense anything at all and helped to pile food onto the bowl .
He swept his gaze about and noticed that Old Master was eating with his head down .
He had no reaction at all .
To Lin Wanyi, the dishes were really hard to swallow, but his heart felt sweet .
This was the first time his son cooked for him .
Even if he made a pile of shit, he wouldn’t frown and would eat it all .
Each time Lin Wanyi wanted to speak, Lin Fan told him to finish eating first .
Suddenly, Lin Wanyi picked up the bowl of soup and drank it all in a mouthful .
Kuang Dang!
The bowl was totally empty and was placed on the table .
Lin Wanyi’s throat shook slightly as if he had swallowed something that he shouldn’t have .
“Fan’er . ”
There was nothing left on the table .
Lin Fan couldn’t find any other way to make things slide . He picked up the wine cup and said, “Father, let me cheers with you . ”
He didn’t eat a single thing .
He knew what his dishes tasted like .
Father really loved him, and he ate it all, not frowning at all .
Apart from shock in his heart, he was also touched .
Father’s love was like a mountain .
No matter how hard the food was to consume, he still ate it all .
He decided .
In the future, they would be one, and they won’t go against one another .
Lin Fan finished it all .
His white and clean face suddenly became red .
“Fan’er . ” Lin Wanyi had something to say . He thought about it, and since things were at such a state, what else could he do? He only had one son, and if he didn’t support him, then who else would he support?

“Father, my head hurts, and I can’t drink . ” Lin Fan tilted his head and fell onto the table . Just like that, he fell unconscious .
The house was really quiet .
Old Wu’s mouth opened wide like he didn’t expect that Young Master would directly act drunk and fall asleep .
Lin Fan wanted to use himself being drunk to avoid this problem .
“Rage +223 . ”
At this moment, he noticed that the rage points appeared at the wrong time .
Normally speaking, Father would say that since he was drunk, then they would talk about it the next day . And then he would ask Gou’zi to carry him to sleep .
However, the situation wasn’t right .
Father was angry .
Him acting drunk had made his father, who felt slightly better, to get angry once more .
His plan had failed, and the outcome was catastrophic .
Kuang dang!
Lin Fan’s head bounced up like a pulled rubber band .
He acted like he was lost and scratched his head, “Father, the wine is really strong . I drank it in a mouthful and nearly lost my mind . I am much better now . Everything is fine . ”
He smiled after saying that .
Like he was saying .
Father, I didn’t act drunk; the alcohol nearly killed me .
“Old Master, the wine’s strength is quite high, and Young Master doesn’t drink, so this is expected . ” Old Wu said .
This was just an excuse . As long as one had a brain one wouldn’t believe that .
Of course, if he just had to find a reason, then this matter could be passed off .
Lin Wanyi’s eyes squinted . His expression made Lin Fan feel uneasy . Why did his gaze look so terrifying?
He stared for a moment .
He opened his mouth and said, “Fan’er what you did today made me very happy and touched . It showed that you have grown up . ”
Before Lin Fan was able to reply, his tone turned sharp .
“However, what you did in the morning really made me angry . I felt rage and even despair . ”
Old Wu got up and stood at the door .
Next would be a conversation between Old Master and Young Master .
It has been a long time since they had such a situation .
There were a few times where Young Master could quietly listen to Old Master speak .
“Father, this…” Lin Fan wanted to say something but was stopped by his father .
“There is no need to tell me your reason . As long as you do something you want to do, don’t speak about the reason to others . It is okay that I don’t understand your reason, but no matter what, you have to be sure why you did it . Only then do you not do something stupid . ”
Lin Wanyi got up and walked beside Lin Fan, patting his shoulder .
“You have already grown up, and the Lin Family will be in your hands in the future . Only by cultivating well can you do what you want in the future . ”
The moment he said that, Lin Wanyi walked out of the room and left with Old Wu .
Lin Fan looked at the back view that walked into the darkness .
He thought back to that someone wrote .
It was written so well that he cried when he read it .
“Father don’t worry, I will do things from my heart and not do things I don’t want to do . ” Lin Fan muttered to himself .
He heaved a sigh of relief .
The matter ended just like that .
Father was a really reasonable person .
That was great .
That was really great .
“Young Master, is everything over?” Gou’zi asked .
He thought that Young Master was going to be punished and didn’t expect that things would end just like that .
“It is over . Clean up and go to sleep . ” Lin Fan said .
Lin Manor Courtyard .
“Old Master, he grew up, he really grew up . ” Old Wu said .
“Grew up?” Lin Wanyi smiled .
How would he not know what thoughts that kid had?
“Let’s not talk about it . I will go vomit first, my stomach hurts . ” Lin Wanyi said .
“Old Master, I will follow you . I find it unbearable as well . ”

NEVER SPLIT THE PARTY: The Adventures of The Creeping Bam (BOOK ONE: The Job)
TAO is a broken world held together with nothing but magic and the will of the gods who protect it and its people. Then thousand years ago THE SUNDERING struck and Tao was almost torn apart by a terrible magical cataclysm which resulted in the planet almost being halted in its journey through the cosmos. It took all the power the gods of Tao could muster to restore its orbit and set it turning again, but in their efforts it was forever changed – its axis was drastically altered, and it now spins in such a way that one face of the world is forever turned from the sun it orbits, leaving half the planet in perpetual darkness. The various humanoid races that survived and now thrive within the habitable parts of THE DAY LANDS have come to live in perpetual fear of what lives beyond THE BORDERLANDS that separate them from whatever dwells within THE NIGHT LANDS, but for ten millennia it has kept its secrets. The land of RUNDAO languishes under the rule of their warlike Northern neighbours, the TEKTEHRAN EMPIRE, while a small, ragtag band of motley adventurers ply their mercenary trade fighting monsters and protecting the common man from the various dangers that haunt the night and prowl the hinterlands on the edges of civilization. THE CREEPING BAM have amassed a modest reputation in their years together, but they’re still just a small-time party of sellswords, thieves, outcasts and mages. They’re also exactly the kind of underdogs the people of Tao doesn’t yet realise are needed to save the world from the encroaching darkness they doesn’t even know is coming … This is a love letter and homage to the high-fantasy worlds of the tabletop RPGs like Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder and Warhammer and the sword & sorcery cinema and literature I fell in love with as a kid growing up in the 80s, from Robert E. Howard’s Conan the Barbarian (and the awesome Schwarzenegger movie, STILL my favourite fantasy film EVER), The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit and Ron Howard and George Lucas’ Willow, to the more grown-up and edgy worlds of grimdark masters George RR Martin and (my all-time favourite) Joe Abercrombie, as well as a BIG DOLLOP of Terry Pratchett’s immortal Discworld series. IMPORTANT: This story contains material which some readers may consider to be mature, such as battle violence, some strong language and occasional mild sexual scenes. If this is not your kind of thing, this story is not for you. I am also serializing this story on Tumblr, Wattpad, Quotev and Sweek.
