Chapter 1040: The Dragon-Borne Return
The Dark Coalition member stared at Qin Feng, his entire being felt as if he was struck by lightning.
When he looked into Qin Feng’s eyes, it was as if he could see a cycle of starglobes, and the largest among them all was a dark starglobe.
“It’s not me, it’s not me!” The Dark Coalition member quickly answered, his back was drenched in cold sweat and he only felt relieved after he blurted out ‘It’s not me’.
“Then, is it you? Or you, maybe it was you?”
Qin Feng’s gaze fell on them one by one. Those people of the Dark Coalition were previously, oh so arrogant, now they had become a fearful bunch.
Finally, his gaze fell on Singhnar. Singhnar had long known how powerful Qin Feng was, and at this moment, he silently felt even more discomfort.
After going to the rune fields in the Runic Galaxy Realm, Qin Feng’s ability cores had already become five meters in diameter, and that was terrifying.
Little did he know that Qin Feng’s dark starglobe had actually shrunk a little.
Just when Singhnar was about to open his mouth to speak, all of a sudden Qin Feng and Bai Li both sensed something and raised their heads.
Bang!
In an instant, the spatial stabilization device exploded and then the members of the Human Alliance that were present began to hear an alarm being blared from their communicators.
[Attention. There has been a violent tremor through space. A rift has been discovered in a vertical location 300 kilometers away!]
Riip!
Everyone could hear it. It was as if something had been torn apart.
Qin Feng was the first to sprint to the side and look up into the sky.
There seemed to be some kind of invisible energy blowing away the clouds in the sky. In the originally clear sky, he could see a massive rift tearing across it.
It was three hundred kilometers away but it was clearly visible. One could only imagine just how vast it was.
The entire Dragon Capital was in a panic.
Those who were present at the meeting all had their hearts skip a beat.

“Could it be, could it be that Ahn Ping Prime heard the news so he came charging over…”
“Yes, it has to be. Great job Qin Feng, now we don’t need to say anything. You can wait for your end!”
“Qin Feng, you asked for this!”
The Dark Coalition members were obviously very relieved.
However, the members of the Human Alliance had fear and panic on their faces, and they finally vented this feeling onto Qin Feng.
“Qin Feng, you’re harming our realm!”
“If the Immortal wants to kill us, all they’d need is just a snap of their fingers!”
“I knew I shouldn’t have helped you hide this!”
Those who did not lash out verbally also felt despair at this point in time. After all, the Immortal was too strong, they could not run now.
The Immortals were people that could obliterate the entire realm with one blow.
It was at this moment a loud dragon roar was heard from the rift above their heads.
From the rift, a dragon’s head was seen.
The people present had seen such a thing before. This was a transformation technique of the Dragon-borne, which allowed them to turn into large dragons.
It was not Ahn Ping Prime.
It was a Dragon-borne.
However, this Dragon-borne carried with it a powerful aura. Even when it was tens of thousands of meters away in the sky, the people below found it hard to breathe. This was an SSS-tier being.
The people present did not have anything to say, but those in the top of Dragon Capital burst out into a panic.
“Dragon-borne! They’re back!!!”
“Just how strong is this guy, why can’t I move? I don’t even have the strength to resist this!”
“No, is Dragon Capital going to fall?”
These people cried out in despair.
“Quick, activate the energy shield. Full defense mode. Do not let them in!” Long Ting called out, then Dragon Capital’s defensive shield was activated once again.
However, in the eyes of this SSS-tier aptitude user, this was nothing more than a joke.
“Hmph!”
With a disregarding snort, the huge ultra beast breathed out a gust of wind.

The gust of wind turned into a massive dragon before it crashed into the defensive shield.
It was like popping a bubble, and the extremely powerful shield around Dragon Capital collapsed instantly.
The diffusing energy swept across the buildings, sending tremors all over as the ground shook. The building that Qin Feng and the others were in was one of the first to experience this, and the glass windows instantly shattered.
Whoosh!
The energy blew over, making people unable to open their eyes. The SS-tiers were able to resist the blast of air, but they could not stop themselves from getting blown back.
The only one remaining in their position was Qin Feing, who was propped up by his internal force. Among this internal force was also Long Kong, Li Yuan and Long Ting.
“What is this?”
“Dragon-borne, how could they come to this realm?”
“Did you not hear what those humans were yelling about? The Dragon-borne has come here before!”
Those who were not used to the Huaxia Alliance were also dumbfounded by it all. All they knew was that this was not Ahn Ping Prime, instead it was an SSS-tier alien force that had come to attack them.
The Dragon-borne disaster of one and a half years ago had finally come.
“What a weak realm star, but this must be it!”
The Dragon-borne’s aura enveloped the entire Blue Star. Many people did not see the Dragon-borne but they could hear the noise he was unleashing.
“It seems that the elites of my tribe had all been slain by you! You will all pay the price. Starting today, this realm is under the dominion of the Dragon-borne, and you, all of you have become our slaves! If you resist, you will die!”
A sound that rumbled like thunder blasted all over the world. Even those on the other side of the Blue Star, where it was night time, could hear this noise. People were awoken from their slumber, and following that was utter panic.
A slave to the Dragon-borne, everyone knew just how terrible that would be.
After all, the Dragon-borne originated from the copulation of evil beasts and humans.*
Considered as blasphemous by humanity, this kind of behavior had extended down the line. Dragon-borne attractions, even Dragon-borne females, were strongly attached to humans. It was pretty much instinctual.
Now, there was a powerful Dragon-borne wanting to invade the realm, how could humans not fall into despair?
Those who had never seen a Dragon-borne were people who were far too weak. They could only pray that the strong ones would rise up to kill this evil Dragon.
However, the people in Dragon Capital felt crippling hopelessness.
They could clearly feel that this was an SSS-tier Dragon-borne and most importantly, their realm did not have anyone that was an SSS-tier aptitude user.
This was an existence that they could not possibly contend with.
Why would God be so unfair, letting their realm fall into chaos again after experiencing the Great Rift Age and making things worse than before?
Why could they not live in a peaceful place?
Why were they not defended by an Immortal?
The people of Dragon Capital had no clue on how to fight back, and could only bear unwilling helplessness.
“The defensive shield, activate it again!”
The spread of energy had caused too much damage to Dragon Capital. Long Ting roared out, carrying with her the presence of a generation of female generals.
If everyone was despairing at this time, Long Ting could not despair.
The signal interference to their communicators was too severe, Long Ting had to announce that using her consciousness to rouse the people in charge of the shields.
However, her action obviously drew the attention of the strong Dragon-borne toward her.
“Huh, an ant, but they don’t look half bad. I’ll take that and have her bear my heirs!”
The Dragon-borne reached out a hand.
A terrifying hand made out of energy reached down from the sky.
At this moment, the humans felt like they were like an ant at the edge of a cup and that Dragon-borne was like a giant who was going to crush them without regard.
“Look out!”
“Get away!”
“Defend the chief!”
Everyone started to call out.
Long Ting was their conviction, their leader. Nothing must happen to her.
*Translator’s Thoughts: Oh dear, oh no, oh goodness…I’m just happy our reality isn’t like that.

When he gets the opportunity to change all of that, he takes it with both hands. This is a slow burning progression fantasy. Please expect at least two chapters per week. I love writing this story but I do have unfortunate things to deal with like work and life outside of writing. I may be able to write and edit more than that, but it will never be less! This is largely still a draft. I hope to use any comments and reviews in the future. Thanks for reading!
