Chapter 1033: 1033
Chapter 1033: The Armored Star Broodmother
After being pushed like that, Qin Feng fell straight into the nest.
Zhao Ge’s Deca Kendo Stroke was only unleashed with a slight portion of his own power, giving these armored stars only a tickle—to provoke them to be alert. Then, he proceeded with his real motivation—to push Qin Feng down to his death.
However, he had miscalculated one thing—these armored stars were actually no match for Qin Feng at all. Well, Qin Feng, as he fell into the nest, did not intend to kill these armored stars at all though.
“Dark Shadow!”
In a split second, Qin Feng’s body was shrouded with his Dark Shadow. Having lost their sights on Qin Feng, the armored stars moved straight toward Zhao Ge.
Qin Feng did not bother to check on these people. In fact, he did not really want to go through this hunt together with them at all.
By focusing his consciousness to scan the walls of the nest, Qin Feng was able to find a crack that had winds blowing through it. Without hesitation, he stepped through it.
Zhao Ge could backstab him anytime. As such, this was the exact incident that he needed to use as an excuse to leave him.
Besides, if this broodmother was indeed an SS-tier beast deity, with his newly upgraded Verdant Emperor Saber, he could slay it with ease. And by doing that, he could claim the rewards of slaying the broodmother all to himself.
Thus, Qin Feng continued on exploring through the nest tunnels. Two hours later, he had reached a dead-end. When he tried to use his consciousness to scan the area to find the next entrance or exit…
“Hmm? What’s going on? I can’t scan the area?”
Qin Feng took a look at the seemingly impenetrable rocks in the area. These rocks were rare—this planet was one that had plenty of rare metals and minerals after all. However, these ones could block out consciousness. This was new knowledge to Qin Feng.

“Wait… could it be…”
Qin Feng put his hand on one of the rocks and unleashed his dark runes on them. The rocks then started to darken as its insides began to soften, crushing it from within. If these rocks were just “minerals”, it would not have reacted this way. This meant that these “rocks” were living creatures.
“Hufff!”
Qin Feng took in a huge breath before extending his consciousness again. Now, even though there were still rocks and soil blocking his way, his consciousness could still travel far and wide. And the areas that could not be detected were also expanding in his conscious-mind’s view—plotting out a huge figure in his mental map.
“So, this thing… is the broodmother?”
Qin Feng had never seen such a gigantic broodmother before.
He felt as though the entire underground of this planet had been completely sucked dry by this broodmother.
This was the raw power of a void beast. Just how powerful was it? This thing was not just an SSS-tier creature—it could very well be an “Immortal-tier” creature.
“Huh, I see. Shao Dongfeng is willing to go that far to kill me? Just what kind of resources or influence does he have that he could lay down such a huge stage to kill me? Or perhaps, it isn’t him that’s trying to kill me… it’s…”
Then, a name popped up in his mind—Ahn Ping Prime.
If it was an entity like that, it was not unusual for Qin Feng to not be able to resist at all. Right now, all that Qin Feng needed to do was to decide if he wanted to leave or not. However, as Qin Feng peeked at the crater down there—the location of the currently motionless broodmother… His heart could not help but beat faster. This was the thirst of yearning for more power.
If he could kill this broodmother, then his power would skyrocket exponentially.

Still, this broodmother was so huge that if Qin Feng were to leap into its mouth, he would look like a tiny parasite to her. It was going to be rather difficult to harm such a titanic creature.
Then, Qin Feng recalled how he slayed the Glutton Leviathan.
“The more power and wealth I have, the more enemies I’d get. Now that my existence itself has already threatened others’ shady businesses, it’s best that I grow into something they cannot afford to lay a finger on!”
A beam of determination glinted in Qin Feng’s eyes as he unsheathed his Verdant Emperor Saber.
The blade of the saber was glittering with silver rays—his Verdant Emperor Saber could now cut open the walls between dimensions.
In just one strike, Qin Feng had penetrated the rocky walls.
Despite how sharp his blade was, Qin Feng could still feel that something extremely powerful was pushing back, making it difficult to complete the cut.
This broodmother was so strong that its strength was nearing an Immortal-tier. If it did not merge itself with this realm, it could have shattered an SSS-tier to pieces if it wanted to.
Qin Feng was like small bacteria to the broodmother; so, his attack was not felt by the Armored Star Broodmother at all. This had given Qin Feng a golden opportunity.
Finally, Qin Feng was able to push himself through the rocky walls. It took him a great deal of time to do it though—he could only proceed less than two hundred meters within a day. Not only that, he probably had only entered the broodmother’s skin—not into the flesh.

On the other hand, Zhao Ge was able to finish off all the armored stars that went after him. The man was, after all, an SSS-tier.
After killing all these enormous bugs, Zhao Ge looked around and saw no sign of Qin Feng.
Of course, Zhao Ge wanted to be sure. He did not believe that Qin Feng would die so easily. Thus, he waited for a whole day for the expedition team to return.
And he did not find Qin Feng amongst the crowd.
“Where’s Qin Feng? I thought he’s with you?” Petalbrook asked.
“Just now we got separated in the midst of battle. But he’s quite powerful. So, he should be fine. For all we know, he could be still searching for the broodmother somewhere out there.”
“Perhaps.” Petalbrook did not suspect Zhao Ge’s words at all.
Then, the second day came and went. And according to the expedition team, they still could not find any sign of the broodmother.
This raised tension and confusion in the group.
Then, some of them realized that the number of armored stars had begun to dwindle.
Then came the third day… The fourth day… Still no sign of Qin Feng.
Zhao Ge was now beginning to conclude that Qin Feng had indeed died.
Petalbrook sighed and felt that it was such a waste for such a prodigy to fall in battle like that. To her, the young man was just a recently ascended talented rookie; so, other than feeling that it was a waste for the Human Alliance, there was nothing else that she was feeling.

Meanwhile, in the body of the broodmother, Qin Feng had opened up another armored piece from the inside and began to devour its energy.
These were not mere minerals. They were part of the broodmother’s body, which contained enormous physical power.
Boom!
Qin Feng’s body began to swell as power brimmed up in it, enhancing its physical prowess and power.
His body had now evolved to S6-tier.

Kichiro's Rampage
Meet Kichiro, the son of a samurai. A social outcast, he leaves his home with nothing but a musket and a sword, determined to carve himself a niche in a chaotic world of dragons and leviathans. This fiction incorporates LitRPG elements, but it's not set in a VR. It's set in a fantastical world based loosely on East Asia in the 16th and 17th Century, when the Ming Dynasty was on its last legs, with the addition of magic and monsters. I totally stole the stat tables from Exterminatus, the author of Everybody Loves Large Chests, so let me credit him for that. I'm new to writing so please don't hesitate to criticise, and reviews would be greatly appreciated.
