Chapter 967: 967
Chapter 967: Aerolite
Qin Feng noticed Shao Tai’s expression and warned again, “I hope that from now on all of you will not offend me again, this is the last chance!”
Qin Feng felt that Shao Tai and the others might still be useful at some point. After all, he was not an actual member of the Dark Coalition. It was too much of a hassle for him to gather intelligence by himself, it would be a good idea to train some men for himself. But he would have to observe the loyalty of Shao Tai and Voodoo Lord.
It was Qin Feng’s last warning. If both of them were still unwilling to submit to him, he would have to kill them both.
Qin Feng turned around and left toward the north direction.
Once he was no longer visible to Shao Tai and the others, Qin Feng took off his cape. Xiao Bai jumped down from Qin Feng’s shoulder and transformed into her human form.
She frowned a little, as she obviously did not like the environment there.
“This continent is really powerful, I would get hurt if I were to stay here. I’ll enter into the dimensional realm and follow you instead!”
“Alright!”
Bai Li faded into shadows and became semi-translucent, and she was even undetectable by senses. Of course, she was also unable to communicate with Qin Feng. But with the contract between them, it was not a problem at all.
Energy from the surroundings was constantly flowing into Qin Feng’s body while bringing dark runes along. It was impossible for Qin Feng to activate his internal force shield to resist it. However, those runes were not harmful to Qin Feng at all.
His dark starglobe within the consciousness realm was slowly spinning. Although it was spinning slightly faster than normal, it would not achieve its maximum speed. Qin Feng’s Absorption Ability gradually absorbed the runes that had entered his body and slowly started growing.
Qin Feng expanded his consciousness into the surroundings. Different from the Aether Realm, there were no restrictions in consciousness scouting, but the excessively violent energy would still neutralize consciousness.

However, it cost nothing for Qin Feng as his Absorption Ability compensated for all those losses.
“Seems like my situation is much better than the others!”
Qin Feng began to speed up.
According to the Skeletal Fiend, he did not find his Hell Stone from the northern region of the Bahamut continent. It was at a location from about one quarter of the entire continent, not even close to the central region. But the mining resources were already in abundance.
However, he could no longer move forward with his current capability. Not because of the erosive dark runes, but it was because…
“Hehehehehe…”
A sinister laugh was heard from behind Qin Feng, and Qin Feng reacted instantly at high speed.
“Berserk Air Prance!”
All of a sudden, Qin Feng sprinted across like a shooting star and looked back.
Without noticing when, not even detected by consciousness and senses, a spooky dark shadow had appeared behind Qin Feng.
The capability of the dark shadow was around S-tier.
“Death Shadow!”
It was one of the major threats on the Bahamut Continent.
Death Shadows were a unique energy body that was perhaps related to the remaining consciousness left by Bahamut. It would attack living creatures and remain undetected by any method.
It was a major threat toward the S-tiers.
“Flare of Death!”
Qin Feng’s consciousness exploded while flames gathered on his palm. Followed by the most violent terraform explosion that blasted out flames from the centre of the earth while shrouding around the Death Shadow.
A miserable shriek was heard from the Death Shadow as its body was shaved into half. But its attack speed did not change at all, it immediately reacted with another wild attack and pounced toward Qin Feng’s neck for a bite.
Qin Feng dodged it with a sly move while drawing out a dagger from his waist.
All of a sudden, glowing internal energy burst into two lines of attacks, combining blizzard and spatial slicing force in it. The Death Shadow was then sliced into three parts.
But in the next moment, the shadows then merged back into one and pounced forward for another kill.

Every Death Shadow was like an assassin that would be reborn limitlessly, and like a sticky entanglement that could never be loosened.
Qin Feng’s ability exploded again.
“Cold Whisper of Death!”
All of a sudden, the shadow was frozen into a unique ice sculpture.
Qin Feng had only heard about the Death Shadow and that was his first encounter. Its movements were untraceable and extremely quick, he could barely examine the look of it earlier.
Now that the Death Shadow had been frozen, Qin Feng certainly had his chance to do so.
“Surprisingly, this thing is similar to Phantom Shift!”
Under Qin Feng’s control, Phantom Shift could be activated and formed into a countless number of dark shadows, provided it was supported with sufficient internal energy and runes. Therefore, it was how the Death Shadow performed, and it was even more bizarre.
It was not accurate to say that Qin Feng had frozen a creature. Actually, it was energy that he had frozen.
“Since this is just energy, why can’t I just absorb it?”
This chapter is scrapped from readlightnovel.org
Qin Feng’s Absorption Ability exploded and was forced onto the ice sculpture as it began to absorb energy from within.
A flow of energy instantly merged into Qin Feng’s body, their energy was tenfold more intense than the energy that lingered in the air. His consciousness was accumulating fast.
Being an A6-tier, a large amount of energy was required to fuel Qin Feng’s rapid consciousness accumulation.
The Death Shadow was trapped within the monster-shaped ice sculpture of about two meters tall. Surprisingly, it had become smaller along with Qin Feng’s absorption.
Actually, Death Shadows were not really indestructible. With constant killing to scalp off its energy, it would then disintegrate. For other aptitude users, all they needed to do was to just run as the Death Shadows would just disappear after some distance of running.
However, they were like pointy arrows that were hung above their heads. Nobody would know when the Death Shadows would return and appear again.
Surprisingly, Qin Feng became interested in them and he hoped to encounter more Death Shadows.
“The information I got earlier was that there should not be large crowd gatherings, or else it will attract a lot of Death Shadows. I should have agreed with Shao Tai earlier!”
Qin Feng chuckled as he joked to himself. He was not interested to continue with the sham gestures of politeness with Shao Tai and Voodoo Lord.
It was at that moment when Qin Feng felt a sudden sense of threat. He immediately raised his head and saw a sparkling light drawing across the sky.
It was an aerolite!
And it was an extremely huge one.
The Bahamut continent was in the midst of formation and its own energy was conflicting with violent energy sources from outer space. Such aerolites were unstoppable, and they were required exactly for the accumulation and constant formation of the continent.
The aerolite got closer to the surface of the ground, it then arced across the sky while being quickly broken down into pieces by the energy from Bahamut.
Boom!
In mid-air, the aerolite had already shattered into countless pieces and Qin Feng’s expression immediately changed.
“Dawnstar!”
The inner part of the aerolite was unexpectedly embedded with a dawnstar that was approximately one meter in diameter. It was absolutely impossible to have such a precious encounter at the Blue Star Realm.
Of course, such an item would be a rare find in any realm.
Boom boom boom!
The aerolite slammed into the ground. The massive quakes had even produced rifts, while massive amounts of energy spread across like ripples that expanded in different intensities.
Qin Feng’s movement speed spiked instantly, and he was unbothered by the earth that was still quaking.
He was not too far from the landing spot of the aerolite. Those who had the closest proximity to the target would definitely be the first to benefit, and the dawnstar was a must have for him!

A Sinner's Eden
The Earth of the future is united under a single government, but not all things are well. The shape of the playing field may be changed, but the powerful still rule the weak. And those who do not conform with the rest of society are exiled to another world. A world that not even the technology of the future managed to tame.It should have been humanity's New World but ended up as nothing more than a penal colony. A place where the exiled are sent to die. Motivated by revenge, Magnus sets out on a quest to bring his own justice to his enemies. For that purpose, he is willing to go further than most others. But then he learns that if he truly wishes to change things, he can only find his answers beyond the gate. Having lived most of her life as an exile, Astra is a woman of few interests aside from survival and climbing the ranks of her clan.To achieve those goals, she certainly won't be squeamish when a chance literally falls into her lap, or will she? ——————————————————————————————— I am trying to go with a survival/medieval setting in this one. People from a technologically advanced society are thrown into a world where they can't maintain their tech. They are forced to rely on medieval technology where they have to make do with the limited resources they have and what little of their old technology is still working. Their gene manipulation allows them to have something akin to superpowers, but that doesn't help much against the monsters of their new world. Not sure yet whether sufficiently advanced technology will be discovered later on to count as magic. ——————————————————————————————— Author's Comment: I was asked about reading my work on other sites. The answer is simple: Currently, I am not active in any other networks than royalroadl.com. Only here, I correct mistakes and errors. If you read it anywhere else and have to pay for it or have to deal with an annoying amount of advertisement, You Are Being Betrayed. You would do good if you make other people in that network aware of it. This is a free project of mine for the purpose of having fun. And if people try to make money with it you shouldn't bother visiting their website. The only one whom I actually allowed to have my work on his website is Armaell who invested the time to compile them into pdf. (http://armaell-library.net/author/andur)

The Beta Test
Our nameless narrator participates in a beta test for an early VRMMO game Meridian 60. That's not the real name but it captures the spirit of the adventure given the chronological and contextual era of the game. His character is unique and special but purely for mundane reasons and not because of any inherent or social significance. The first chapter which is mandatory to submit a story on RR serves as a bit of a prologue with some exposition, although I limited that to a reasonble level. I plan to begin releasing additional chapters starting Thursday, to align with the 48 hour submission approval process and also because I have something to do Wednesday. I haven't written anything but the summary and first chapter, nor have I plotted anything out. This is because my plan is to release roughly 34000 words a day, 10 chapters of ~12.5 pages each, for 3 days at which point the story will be complete. I'd have liked to plan for more but handling the interface tables and so forth needed for a data heavy litrpg slows down the writing process. 100k words is a bit short, a standard pre epic fantasy 300 page spec fic novel, but this is mostly a writing exercise and I am considering a longer project if I can maintain the pace. Probably do a different concept, maybe a dungeon core, over 5 days, since a 500 page novel is more common these days. Slight subversion of VRMMO stories Stat heavy/crunchy No paying your bills by gaming No out of game conspiracies No angst, interpersonal drama, or damsels/dudes in distress Schedule is 30000 words a day excepting the first chapter, a limitation of RRs fiction submission system Fantasy, high magic, male lead, no party, guild, or harem No gore, some profanity, no sexual content, and no current plans for anything traumatic

Directorate: Nationbuilding in Apocalypse
A nation is just a means of survival. Metro Manila fell within 5 months of the first report of cannibalism. Once a hyperurbanized region of 15 million inhabitants, it's been reduced to a dead, greenless shell. Most of the infected had since left to ravage the countryside. The central government was nowhere to be found. Among the survivors who clung to the few gardens and humble plots of arable land left, one of them finds evidence that the slaughter wasn't going to just end with the first wave. Without a nation and a wall of guns, everyone will die. Directorate is an original nationbuilding webnovel that focuses on the gradual rise to power of a select few individuals, and the subsequent unification of the survivors of a devastated Metro Manila. Releases targeted at every 1 to 3 weeks. If there are no chapter updates after 3 weeks, there will be a progress update. Number of releases targeted at a maximum of 100 chapters. Every 10-15 chapters, there will be a 1-month hiatus to let me plan for the next 10-15 chapters. Double releases have a not-insignificant-but-still-small chance of occurring. Original cover edited on GIMP. Destroyed city original photo "apocalypse" from Camila Rodrigues on Pixabay.
