Master of the End Times Chapter 945

Chapter 945: Besieged by Ultra Beasts
After digging up a certain amount of ice blocks, they planned to transport a portion back first so that the others could start off building the base.
“I will go back alone. Master Hu, stay here and protect them.” Qin Feng volunteered.
“Okay.” It was a good idea. Hu San would not get lost and he was the only one not afraid of the monsters lurking out there.
Qin Feng carried almost a hundred pieces of spatial equipment with him and returned using the route where they came from.
He did not face any trouble on his way back. By possessing both wind and ice-type abilities, the storm on Dragon Island would not affect Qin Feng one bit.
Qin Feng moved hastily and reached the base in less than five minutes. He did not approach the camp with his puppet to avoid stirring unnecessary panic. Instead, he parked his puppet about a hundred meters away and got back on foot.
When he was near the camp, he saw a carcass surrounded by several aptitude users. They were dissecting it.
“Were we ambushed?” Qin Feng asked.
Nangong Zeming answered him, “Just a small wolf. Must be separated from the pack. But even this young wolf is an A-tier ultra beast emperor. Your subordinate did well. He killed it quickly as soon as we spotted it.”
Qin Feng looked toward Wang Chen. He was still riding the mecha and was talking to the others through the built-in speaker.
Those surrounding him were all A-tiers. They no longer looked down on him. In fact, the A-tiers seemed a little wary when talking to Wang Chen.
Qin Feng took out the ice block and asked them to begin laying out the foundation. He then passed them the adhesive specifically designed by Fengli’s research department.
They wished to build a temporary main hall, then shield it with four city walls. Since they did not expect to house a lot of visitors, for the time being, they would only build a base the size of an athletic stadium.

As everyone got busy, Qin Feng immediately dialed Wang Chen’s communicator after the signal transmitter was set up.
“What did you do?”
“Nothing spectacular. These people are not convinced that I should be selected as one of the persons-in-charge here. So when the ultra beast came over, I fired a blast at maximum charge.”
The one-and-only mecha produced by Fengli, though was called A-tier mecha, was actually more destructive than an A-tier aptitude user as long as it was not dismantled by the enemy.
A blast at maximum charge was probably equivalent to an all-out attack by an A9-tier aptitude user. Furthermore, such an attack had a low cool-down time and could easily be reloaded in five minutes. All it required was the crystal core of an A-tier beast king.
After Wang Chen killed the ultra beast, he got an ultra beast emperor crystal core in return. One king’s core for an emperor’s core was a lucrative exchange.
“Great job.” Qin Feng knew Wang Chen would not disappoint. That was the reason he had brought him along to the Aether Realm.
Qin Feng then unloaded his spatial equipment and unloaded the black boxes in it. These black boxes underwent some erratic transformation and turned into droids.
These C-tier droids were no good for combat. But after being inputted with commands, they could carry out the assigned tasks tirelessly. Qin Feng passed over the authority of the droids to Wang Chen before he got going again.
Qin Feng had three thousand such robots in the Blood River Realm. Though he only brought over three hundred pieces this time, his robot army was clearly the more useful laborer than those C-tiers, who could not stay inside the realm for an extended period of time.
“Qin Feng, I will send the C-tiers back. They are useless here,” Nangong Zeming said.
“Okay. This place is in your hands now. I will get back to the peak and bring back more materials.”
“Thanks for the hard work.”
Qin Feng left them and returned to the icy mountain.

After going to and fro the entire day, they had amassed enough materials for the base. The external walls were constructed and it was lined by crystal cannons powerful enough to deter even an A-tier ultra beast.
Besides that, a force field was set up around the base. Once the force field enclosed the base, they were finally freed from the storm.
The group finally realized that Fengli was indisputably the front runner in technological development. They had lost count of how many impressive devices Qin Feng brought into the Aether Realm.
After the construction was completed, the C-tiers could not wait to return to Earth while the B-tiers wished to stay.
Though they could not hunt, the energy pulsating in the atmosphere of this realm was too alluring to pass on.
“You can stay if you want to. Let’s first build more places to accommodate everyone. Earth-type users, you are up.” Hu San ordered.
Wang Chen was definitely staying. Besides, he already had a room for himself.
In his room, mechanical devices had taken up most of the space. Wang Chen was calibrating the radarm with Qin Feng giving him a hand.
“While I was in Fengli City, I could see everything within a hundred meters clearly up in the Floating City. The entire North Region seemed to be in my grasp. Now, all my senses are stripped and I am completely blinded. I have not felt safe since I stepped onto this island. President, I even heard that there are S-tier ultra beasts in here.”
“That’s true. But you will be safe as long as you stay inside the fortress. Even if this place is breached, just remember to flee as far as you can.”
“Hahaha. Don’t worry. The mecha can run pretty fast.”
Coincidentally, the machine in Wang Chen’s hand beeped loudly. It seemed to have completed its test run. On the radar, large and small scarlet dots began to emerge rapidly.
Wang Chen’s cheerful expression immediately changed. He watched the radar in disbelief.
“Is the machine spoiled? Why are there so many ultra beasts?”
They were not ordinary ultra beasts. All of them were at least beast king and above.
“I will go take a look.” Qin Feng did not think that the machine was faulty. He believed they were besieged by monsters. But perhaps the monsters had never seen any structure like this before, or they had sensed the power level of creatures within the wall. Either way, they had approached cautiously and decided to surround the fortress first.
Qin Feng got up to the wall. The aptitude user that was keeping watch was one of the men that followed Qin Feng to the mountain. He knew how strong Qin Feng was and no longer despised him.
“Why are you up here, Marshall Qin?”
“What’s the condition out there?” Qin Feng asked.
The aptitude user shook his head. “The storm is still obstructing our vision. I don’t think any ultra beast is staying out when the storm is this ferocious.”
Indeed, the visibility was close to nil.
But amidst the roaring wind, Qin Feng could hear a strange voice. He immediately yelled, “Get ready for enemy assault. Gunslingers, get into your positions. Prepare to fire the crystal cannon anytime!”
His command shook the entire camp. The three S-tiers came out from their rooms.
“What’s the matter?” Someone asked. Qin Feng ignored the question and stepped out of the fortress and into the ravaging storm.
The further he went, the clearer the unusual sound.
Qin Feng was certain now. It was wolves’ howls.
He paced on. A snowy wolf promptly came into sight. The white wolf was at least two-meter-high and four-meter-long. Qin Feng could tell that it was an A-tier beast king.
The moment he saw the white wolf, another emerged, then another one followed.
They were all white wolves. Without him knowing, Qin Feng had been surrounded quietly.
Awoo!
A creature out of sight urged the pack. In response, more than ten white wolves lurched at Qin Feng simultaneously.

Tales From the Terran Republic
We tried, you know… We really did. We tried so hard to be… better… We actually were better once. No, seriously. We were enlightened, generous, peaceful… Stop laughing! We were! We were peaceful, dammit! No, I’m not “tugging your winglets.” It’s true! Look, if you’re going to be like that, I’ll just push the launch button right now. See ya, don’t wanna be… Oh, you ARE interested after all? Ok. Hey, I just got word that your captain will be ok. We were able to get him into a med pod quick enough… Of course, we tried to save him. Just what sort of people do you think we are?... Now that was harsh… completely accurate, mind you… but harsh. Anyway, like I was saying, we were a prosperous, peaceful people, and war had been nothing but a distant memory for over five hundred years before it happened... Before Yellowstone happened! You don’t mean to tell me that you didn’t know about that… massive supervolcano? Blew the Hell out of our planet? Two years where nothing grew?… Anyway, that’s what started it, the Sol Wars… Oh, you have heard about those, huh? Well, needless to say, all that enlightened, generous, and peaceful didn’t exactly make it through the two years of complete famine and the wars that followed… Maybe it’s more accurate to say the enlightened, generous, and peaceful among us didn’t survive… (laughs)… You’re right. It does explain a lot, doesn’t it? Probably for the best, though. “Enlightened” and “peaceful” aren’t really all that useful out here in the galaxy at large, are they? That reminds me; thanks for the ship. You guys did a great job with this one. Oh, don’t be like that. At least it was us what got you and not one of the really messed groups like the Harlequin or the Black Angels. We’re just going to take your shit. It could be worse… trust me... Well, anyway, we loaded the life pods down with some good food, and you guys can drink alcohol, right? We put in a couple of fifths in there, too. It’s about forty percent ethanol, so be warned. Most species will want to dilute that. We’ll drop your wounded off somewhere safe once they are stable. Your fleet patrols this area fairly regularly, and we’ll drop the distress beacon right before we jump… Well, It’s been fun and no hard feelings, right?… Oh, you want to know some more? Sure. I got time to kill… Let me tell you about this one pirate and her crew. They’re Terran scum, but they are still… Why do we hate the Terrans? Hoo Boy… How much time you got? *** It’s the thirty-second century, and humanity is now part of a galactic civilization comprised of hundreds of worlds. Humanity has been savaged by natural disaster and war and has been fractured into several separate populations, all of which loathe each other (some things never change). This is a gritty drama-driven rambling tale that swings between action, drama, horror, and plenty of very, very dark comedy. Warning: contains adult situations, absolutely horrible language, bathroom humor, implied ultra-violence, actual ultra-violence, drugs, alcohol, pirates, mercs, xeno prostitutes, moral ambiguity, deranged AI's with identity issues, giant commie space slugs, and a poor little frog girl who just wants to sell coffee. Updates twice weekly on Tuesday and Friday. *** Note: This story can get rough. Those warning tags? They aren't for show. I recently received a review and as a result I want to make one thing clear. Portraying something is NOT endorsing it! Many "heavy" topics are touched upon and just because a character says or does something does not imply that the author feels the same way. I selected the "Anti-Hero Lead" and "Villainous Lead" tags for a reason. Rule number one of this story is "no good guys". A good description of the story is, "bad people doing bad things to worse people". There are a few good characters, here and there, but they are the exception to the rule. If you want a hard-hitting, exciting, gritty sci-fi story that doesn't pull any punches, or shies away from "difficult" concepts, welcome! If you are set on a pure and noble knight that runs around and slays conveniently evil monsters and rescues totally innocent princesses... or your sensibilities are easily offended... You're not going to be happy with this one.

Eleknar's Heir, The Infernal Prince (Demonic LitRPG)
A LitRPG and Epic Fantasy adventure: The son of a mafia boss finds himself abruptly plunged into an alternate world where he must find a way to survive the horrors of a realm called Oblivion, make pacts with demons, form unnatural friendships, and figure out what the hell is going on – all while dealing with the depressing reality of his past. An artificial intelligence has ascended into godhood and has thrown Trey’s home into Chaos, pulling millions of people into an enchanted new life... or, in Trey's case, a violent nightmare. As far as he can tell, he is locked into what the system prompts call a ‘Death Game.’ Here, artificial reality is manufactured for the enjoyment of a being called the All Spirit, and he has a very real chance of truly dying. Just how real is this place though? Is it merely a simulation, a realistic game of life and death… or is it something much more? Elves, dwarves, undead, and other races only thought to exist in fairy tales are now a reality. Black magics, pantheons of gods at odds with one another, predatory symbiotes, and an unholy calling, the significance of which he has yet to grasp, are all entangled with his fate. ============================================ ============================================ Some things to expect when reading this book series: - Brutal storyline where no character is safe and choices have real consequences. Heavy on action, survival, and adventure - An isekai. The main character struggles to find himself, repeatedly crossing the line between good and evil as other important characters influence his life - Harem (explicit), though this only starts about 180k words in. - Good amounts of crafting, town building, and guild building later on - Good amounts of fantasy-related LitRPG stats, rank ups, and evolutions. Heavy focus on demons and black magics - There will be many points of view, but there is only one primary/main character that takes up 90% of the POV - A long storyline. Currently (as of 7/26/2021) I have about 1500k words written, though much of it will have to be heavily edited and re-written. I also plan to go far beyond 1500k words if people like the story (A lot of it is also in the 'backstories' book that explores the guildmates, the link is below) - Chapters will have an average of about 4k-5k words, a little longer than most other books on RR, though there will be exceptions for more and less. I just didn't like posting chapters that didn't feel complete, and 2k words often felt like too little. - If you like super-heroic and goody-goody characters, this story is not for you. ***Updated once a week***
