Chapter 931: 931
Chapter 931: Devour Them All
Such was the true nature of wild beasts. Their intelligence was limited. They were too invested in claiming territory and protecting what they perceived as theirs.
As such, not many creatures improvised and advanced deeper.
“Snow Skate!”
Qin Feng unleashed a qinggong skill. His body became as light as the snow and drifted forward carried by the wind.
Hu San had sped up too. His consciousness actively examined the runes around him.
‘This is the Frost Ring. I have learned this before.’ Hu San stopped in front of an ice pillar. He absorbed the runes from it rapidly. From the corner of his eye, he glimpsed that Qin Feng was still going further.
“Qin Feng, don’t overexert yourself!” Hu San reminded Qin Feng. After all, Qin Feng was not an ice ability user. Though he had done well so far, Hu San did not think Qin Feng was capable of learning those high-end abilities.
‘He is right. Perhaps the abilities further down require vast conscious energy to drive them. I should do this step by step.’ Qin Feng halted after being warned by Hu San. He happened to stop beside an ability called Absolute Zero. He estimated it to be a C-tier ability.
“Absorb!”
The frosty runes on the ice pillar were instantly peeled off and merged into Qin Feng’s ability core.
The two foxes that came behind Qin Feng were stunned by what they saw.
Qin Feng did not stop there. He paced toward another pillar about ten meters away.
“Icetomic Blast”.
‘I will take it! Absorb!’
Qin Feng moved on.
“Frosty Peak”.
‘Absorb!’
Qin Feng was not picky and skimmed through one after another rapidly. He stopped at each pillar only briefly and absorbed the runes from them efficiently.
Hu San learned the ability relatively quickly and turned his head up. He realized that Qin Feng had gone even further than before.

‘This young man. Didn’t I tell him not to overdo it? Why is he so impatient? What if he can’t learn them… Wait, what’s that?’ Hu San was dumbfounded after he witnessed how Qin Feng almost devoured the runes from a pillar within seconds.
Some of the runes on the pillars were carved on their backs. To understand the entire arrangement, it was best to circle around the pillars and assimilate the runes in their proper sequence. However, Qin Feng was not bothered and sucked in everything, regardless of whether they were facing him or not, as soon as he approached the pillars.
Hu San examined pillar after pillar behind Qin Feng and realized they had all been emptied out.
‘Don’t tell me he has learned them all?!’
Hu San was at a loss for words.
Qin Feng did not stop his march and was not aware that Hu San was astonished by his exploit. He strolled on and finally found a key ability.
‘Here it comes. Ice-type ability domain, Snow World!’
An ability domain was a collection of different abilities. Once cast, it would create an isolated world within the domain. Unless being challenged by a more powerful domain, the caster was usually safe within his or her own domain.
More so, the caster was omnipotent within his or her own domain.
This was something Qin Feng had been searching for.
“Absorb!”
After absorbing the domain, Qin Feng once again explored deeper.
Another domain came into his eyes.
“Ice domain—Ultimate Storm!”
“Absorb!”
“Ice domain—Glacier Strike!”
“Absorb!”
Qin Feng devoured everything along the way until the very end. He finally reached the edge of the palace that seemingly had no end.
At the rear end of the palace, three giant pillars stood majestically there. The pillars were cluttered by numerous runes on them.
Qin Feng glanced at the middle one and immediately felt an endless chill.
S-tier ability, “Cold Whisper of Death”.

It was an ability comparable to the Finger of Death. Once it had locked on to a target, it could instantly freeze its target.
Qin Feng moved closer and absorbed it without hesitation.
Massive runes seeped through the vortex between Qin Feng’s brows, then merged into his crystal core.
While he was absorbing the ability, the two Snow Foxes had run over too. They were obviously interested to learn what the final abilities were.
They could only watch as Qin Feng was absorbing the most important ability.
They proceeded to the remaining two pillars at the sides. However, the complexity of the abilities hindered them from comprehending them immediately. It was unlike anything the two foxes had seen before.
While they were still working hard to grasp the rune arrangement, Qin Feng was done with the middle ice pillar. He then moved to the pillar on his left.
The S-tier male fox was still trying hard. It picked its ear anxiously trying to figure out the meaning of the runes. However, his nervousness only made it more difficult than it already was.
Soon after, a shadow approached him from its right. The fox could feel a fluctuation of energy emitted by an unusual ability.
A powerful pulling force dragged the runes off the ice pillar. They merged seamlessly into the vortex between Qin Feng’s eyes.
The male fox had its mouth wide open. It gazed at the floating runes greedily, but none of them belonged to it.
While the male fox was still caught in shock, Qin Feng moved to the right pillar next. The vixen was also trying hard. An ice rune drifted down from the pillar, which was about to be absorbed by the vixen.
Suddenly, the rune stream took a sharp turn in a completely different direction. The female fox was stunned. Its eyes followed the runes and found a human standing right by her.
The runes suddenly splurged out from the pillar and merged straight into Qin Feng’s consciousness realm.
The two foxes were dumbfounded. They then went into an infuriated rant.
Rawr! Rawr!
But they sounded more like quacks. The snow foxes were too exasperated and they attacked Qin Feng with ice abilities without thinking much.
“Ice Wall!”
Qin Feng raised his hand and blocked the abilities. He also delivered a message via his consciousness to the two ultra beasts.
“I would not harm you since you two are fox ultra beasts. Do you really want to fight me? I have just learned three S-tier super abilities. Either one of them could easily put you two down.”
Qin Feng’s consciousness came with an intense killing threat. Hesitation filled the eyes of the two foxes.
In the next moment, they replied through their consciousness.
“Don’t ever again intercept. We will kill you.”
“Alright. Pick one. I am not going to interrupt this time.”
The two foxes backed off cautiously. They moved to the second last row and found an ability that also looked like a domain.
Qin Feng let down his guard. The three S-tier skills were indeed powerful, but Qin Feng was only bluffing when he said he could cast them.
In this dimension, Qin Feng’s conscious energy was limited to D-tier. At best, he could force out an ice domain but it was impossible to cast any S-tier ability. He was only trying to scare off the two foxes.
Sparing them because they were foxes like Bai Li was just a convenient excuse. They were merely snow foxes, which was in principle totally different from Bai Li, a spatial beast.
‘You can have two. I am going to snatch the rest.’
Qin Feng began to devour the rest of the pillars around him insanely. Other than the two occupied by the snow foxes, he absorbed everything else.
Then, Qin Feng moved to the third, fourth, and fifth rows…

Harem (not sorry!) Magic System Short Chapters Dancing Bears (at least so far) Seriously, this is a second-world low fantasy/science-fantasy featuring a strong, but flawed male protagonist, a cheeky teenage boy that’s driving him crazy, a wee bit o’ Scots flavor, and a whole lot of culture clashing. I’m preparing to relaunch this story on Kindle once the second and third books are ready and I’d love some feedback as I move through those revisions. I'm serious about the feedback. All comments are welcome. I'll name a characters after you. And kill them, if you want. :) Oh, did I mention soulless assassins and cannibals? Yeah, Aralt’s day is not getting any better. cover image by brosedesignz
