Chapter 912: 912
Chapter 912: Slaying the Siren Cherub
The Cherub’s previous ability was that its song could put its target to sleep; while its wail would drive other beasts crazy. As of now, it seemed that the latter had been upgraded into the manipulation of other beasts to attack its target. That was a drastic improvement.
Even though the Glutton was the sovereign of this sea, it might not survive being assaulted by so many great sea beasts at once.
The number of sea beasts kept piling up. It had gone way beyond their imagination.
“Is this… a beast wave?”
“We are surrounded!”
“What should we do now?”
The aptitude users on the Glutton began to panic. Among them, only those on the control seats remained composed. They were all members of the Fengli Organization. These men knew Qin Feng more than the others. Worst case scenario, they still had Bai Li’s spatial ability to count on.
“President, your order?” One of the aptitude users asked calmly.
“Retreat toward the surface. Fire at will!”
“Roger!”
The gunslinger pushed on several buttons. A force field immediately glowed all around the Glutton. This could temporarily resist the attacks by the sea beasts. However, no force field would be powerful enough to sustain the attacks from so many beasts at once.
Hence, the Glutton ascended to the sea surface rapidly.
To the Siren Cherub, it seemed that the offender was trying to flee.
Bawl!
The Cherub urged the beasts around it. The bloodshot in their eyes intensified further. Not only that but some of the beasts had their power strengthened too. The sea beasts swam on hastily to catch up to the Glutton.
Right now, even Tung Yang could hardly remain calm being pursued by a flock of agitated beasts.
The next moment, being wrapped in a silver halo, Qin Feng appeared outside of the vessel.
The camera on the outer shell of the Glutton turned to him almost immediately.

Inside the deep sea, the internal force shield around Qin Feng was even thicker than that of the Glutton. Nonetheless, his figure was minute in the face of the giant sea beasts. His tiny body would easily be gulped by the beast with a single breath like plankton to a fish.
“When did he go out? Isn’t he afraid of dying?” Helian Mingjie gazed at Qin Feng on the screen. He then turned to Bai Li and wondered why she did not go out instead. She would be of great help with her outrageous caliber.
He got the answer not very long after.
In the sea, a glamorous saber appeared in Qin Feng’s grip. The seawater around him began to bubble as a result of the enormous internal energy emanating from the weapon. The ferocity of the saber stirred the water around it. Then, numerous spirits began to emerge from the saber’s surface.
Qin Feng swung his saber toward the incoming beasts and took their lives almost instantly.
World of Death!
Qin Feng had learned this new barrier ability from the skeletal fiend. Dark aura danced in a lively manner and spread out with Qin Feng at its center. It infested all the beasts that had entered Qin Feng’s death zone.
Flesh on the beasts rotted rapidly and was washed away by the sea current in no time. The skeleton of the infested beasts remained intact and turned into an undead puppet.
The puppets were no longer under the Cherub’s influence. Instead, they turned to the other unaffected sea beasts with Qin Feng’s command. Still, the number of undead puppets was relatively small and they quickly disappeared into the sea of beasts swarming at Qin Feng.
Qin Feng was poised and he continued to brandish his Verdant Emperor Saber. More beasts succumbed to the Spirit Chain Rend and were infested by dark runes.
The Glutton continued to accelerate toward the surface. Qin Feng’s figure became smaller and smaller until he was swarmed by the beasts. But soon, people on board heard the roar of a thousand spirits as Qin Feng re-emerged from the swarm imposingly.

The seawater was tainted red, which quickly turned black. Even the blood was corroded. Dark aura filled the entire sea region.
Bawl!
The Cherub was exasperated and commanded more beasts to chase after the Glutton.
Qin Feng felt that the pressure around him had lightened considerably. He knew they were very close to the surface now. He could use that skill now.
Rampage Influx!
Qin Feng instantly went on a rampage. His speed increased rapidly and split the seawater around him in half. The great friction created by his high-speed charge created a large booming sound in the sea. He was now only about a hundred meters away from the Cherub.
This was when Cherub finally got a good look at its enemy.
Bawl!
The giant baby wailed horrifyingly and retreated involuntarily. It finally recognized the devil in front of it.
It scarred the Cherub when Qin Feng killed the Devil Mountain and snatched the Glittering Gold Sand from their hands.
Besides, the instinct of the Cherub as a beast told it that Qin Feng was an entirely different monster now.
If Qin Feng had remained the same person, the Cherub would not hesitate to open its maw and lurch at Qin Feng.
Right now, the only thought it had was to run as far as possible.
But Qin Feng would not allow it.
Qin Feng’s body went into another gear.
Ramp up!
Ramp up!
Only Qin Feng’s physique could have withstood the three sudden short bursts of speed.
The speed boost propelled Qin Feng right to the Cherub’s back.
The Verdant Emperor Saber slit opened a three-meter wound on the Cherub’s fishtail. Cut a little deeper and the tail would have been severed.
Beasts that were chasing the Glutton had been called back by the Cherub. Now, they assaulted Qin Feng, frantically trying to stall him.
But Qin Feng had no problem moving freely inside the sea with his enormous internal strength. He purposely stayed close to the Cherub so that the beasts could not attack him freely. He then triggered Phantom Shift and the beasts could only attack his afterimage heedlessly.
As a result, more wounds opened up on the Cherub and it could do nothing about Qin Feng.
Ra ra ra ra!
With little choice left, the Cherub began to croon a soft tune. The wild bloodshot within the furious beasts’ eyes gradually receded. They blinked mindlessly and went into deep sleep amid the hypnotizing tune.
The soundwave of the tune did not reach Qin Feng as it was barricaded by his internal force shield. Even without the armor’s protection, the lullaby would have little effect on Qin Feng’s god-tier consciousness.
Nonetheless, Qin Feng pretended to have his eyes closed. He relaxed and floated freely in the sea.
The Cherub was a merman so it could swim swiftly inside the water. Though there were a lot of wounds on its body, the Cherub did not suffer any other heavy injury other than the first cut.
This was because the Cherub had seawater to protect its body. If it chose to run now, the Cherub could probably heal and get away to safety in time. But when it saw Qin Feng dozing off, the Cherub could not help its urge. It hesitated for a while, then decided to swim toward Qin Feng with its giant maw opened.
Its sharp teeth could crack even the toughest shell. The tiny and transparent shield should not be a problem.
But in the next instant, a glitter shone past its eyes. Its head was then cut into half by the merciless flash.
Qin Feng opened his eyes and looked at the beheaded Cherub coldly. He extended his arm and a football-size crystal core landed quietly on his palm.

Ursus Ex Machina
Ozzy was a man of the wild. Raised in a remote village atop the world's mightiest mountain, he'd been taught to respect and revere the natural world. The realm he was born into had been there long before him, and it would remain there long after him. Sure, there was the occasional madman who threatened to destroy it, but such boasts were always empty. No one individual was actually capable of demolishing this beautiful blue-and-green ball Ozzy called home. No matter what terrible magics these villains wielded, they were incapable of causing permanent harm to the environment. Even if the planet was completely devastated, it would recover. Life would find a way to flourish, same as it always had. That was what Ozzy believed from the bottom of his heart, so he never once felt the need to save the world he loved. After all, it was never truly in danger. The world would be fine no matter what. The people were a wee bit endangered, but that was another story altogether. However, what would happen if Ozzy suddenly found himself devoid of his beloved wilds? What would the man do if the realm he knew - one of wonder, magic, and chaos - was replaced with a man-made environment of concrete, industry, and steam? Ozzy could never imagine such a thing happening, and yet that was his new reality. After losing a fateful confrontation with a mad wizard, he and his friends found themselves transported to a strange world so thoroughly alien that every waking moment feels like a fever dream. Separated and scattered to the four corners of this land, each of these adventurers will need to adapt, survive, and overcome if they hope to reunite. They would also need to do so quickly. The sooner they are able to find one another, the sooner they can figure out a way back home and have another crack at putting an end to the villain's plans. Whether such a thing was actually possible in a world with barely any magic in it was a valid concern, but Ozzy had more immediate things to worry about. For instance, why did the air smell like a perpetual forest fire? How did ships sail through the sky as if it were water? And most importantly, was the pavement he was hurtling towards at high speed much softer than it looked? Probably not, but a man could hope.
