Chapter 905: Chapter 905 – A Share of the Cake
Chapter 905: A Share of the Cake
However, Qin Feng was already forced out once by He Tianxing earlier. Due to the Prodigy Tournament at Dragon Capital, his time was delayed further for more than two months. Without Bai Li’s presence to defend, Fengli only managed to maintain its relevance with their formidable technology.
Of course, the main reason was because He Tianxing was no longer there.
“What happened to Cleaves?”
Being the most highly profited person in the entire Blood River Realm, Cleaves had defended the realm and become an S-tier. There was no doubt about his commitment toward the realm. But he was also second to none when it comes to inciting problems.
However, matters in regards to the Blood River Realm were indeed not handled appropriately since the beginning as Qin Feng was in a hurry to leave. It was necessary for him to make a trip back again to sort things out.
Furthermore, with his current status, he would most probably already be excluded from the Spring Hunting Ground. Also, from what Qin Feng could recall, there would not be any major incident occurring anytime soon.
“Well, then I shall make a trip there!” Qin Feng answered.
Then, Qin Feng followed the main troops of the Fengli Organization and headed toward the Blood River Realm.
Cleaves had invited the crowd to the region he established. The fortress was already built from steel and soil patches, and it was the most glamorous building available.
However, the presence of S-tiers was not seen and Cleaves had only invited A-tier aptitude users.
Despite the vast fortunes that lay around the Blood River Realm, S-tiers would not station there for long term. Those who stayed were mostly A-tier aptitude users.
Qin Feng arrived at the main entrance that was guarded by only B-tier aptitude users. The entrance was packed with a crowd that was moving around, but obviously everyone was above B-tier. Qin Feng was already equipped with his A-tier badge, and it had certainly saved him from unnecessary trouble.

At approximately twelve noon, it was time. Every A-tier aptitude user had arrived and gathered.
“Close the door!” Cleaves commanded.
High-tier aptitude users would not have inappropriate behaviour just because they had higher capabilities. Instead, they would adhere closely to the scheduled time as they all valued their own precious time.
Those who were invited by Cleaves had arrived, of course there were also some that were uninvited.
Cleaves stepped onto the stage and commenced the gathering, “About the purpose of my invitation, I believe everyone is well aware of the vast undeveloped region within the Blood River Realm. All of us fought hard with each other for these places, it would still be acceptable if we were fighting the Dark Coalition. But recently I have noticed fighting within internal members of the Human Alliance, that’s just utterly outrageous!”
Cleaves stood up and said in a disapproving manner, “Such acts are unacceptable here; we should have fair competition and divide the rewards among ourselves. Furthermore, we all serve the same S-tier master. Hence, fights like these should not continue on.”
Cleaves’ statement put everyone on high alert. They treated the beginning of the speech with total contempt, but the S-tier figure that Cleaves had brought up at the end of his statement forced everyone to pay close attention to him.
If there was participation from an S-tier, they obviously had to shift their plans.
“Cleaves, what are you actually planning?!”
“Yeah, stop beating around the bush, just tell us what’s on your mind!”
“If the conditions are acceptable, of course we will give our support!”
The crowd started to pipe up.
Cleaves did not intend to keep his secret. A projecting screen was displayed, showcasing an area of tens of thousands of kilometres around the Blood River battlefield. Those were regions that were discovered by humans within the Blood River Realm.
Everyone was shocked, they obviously did not expect Cleaves to have such a detailed map. But it had also clearly depicted Cleaves’ wild ambition.

“Now, all of us here want to take part in the Blood River Realm. This map will be shared publicly to every powerful figure that intends to enter the realm, except for S-tiers!”
“Also, I will distribute this map today and sign a contract with joint affiliates. Anyone who breaks the contract will be sanctioned by everyone else!”
“Of course, those who wish to join in later for future developments will have to move their developments to other places and we will have no say on that!”
Nobody there was dumb and not able to see what was going on. Also, situations where everyone gets a share of the cake was commonly seen in large corporations.
There were more than a hundred people in the crowd to share one cake. Only those who were present in the house would be eligible to get a slice, and those who came into the house from thereon would not get one. They would have to go to another house and bake their own cake.
Of course, a self-made cake would not be better than a ready-made cake.
Furthermore, not all places in the Blood River Realm shared the same potential to have spatial overlap.
Those who saw the map that Cleaves showcased nodded in agreement. Obviously, most of them were agreeable with the approach.
However, there were some that had doubts.
“Cleaves, although this is a commonly used method, how are we going to divide the territory?”
Cleaves heard the question, and it was undoubtedly the most anticipated question.
“Let’s divide it in accordance with capabilities as only large corporations are capable of coming to the Blood River Realm. But A-tier aptitude users will be entitled to a hundred kilometre area each, S-tiers will be entitled to a thousand kilometre area each, and this will be applied to the entire corporation. As for those who do not belong to any corporations, they would have to be nominated by corporations to get themselves entitled.”
Of course, those who were not associated with any corporations would only get a one-hundred-kilometre area.
It might seem like a rather big area but for the A-tier aptitude users, an area of a hundred kilometres would not even make up to the area of a state in Huaxia.
Before Qin Feng could voice out anything, the other people present burst into chaos.
“I have a good connection with Rowlyn Flora and Giant Helios. Considering the size of my corporation, I would have to get at least two thousand and seven hundred kilometres!”
“Do you consider that as a good connection? You have only briefly spoken with them, and you have been using that to your advantage for ten long years. That is definitely not your accomplishment!”
“Why should we? Just because you have connections with an S-tier it doesn’t mean anything. With my capability, I can easily handle five of them. Why should I not be entitled to five hundred kilometres alone?”
“How dare you disrespect an S-tier master, are you tired of living?”
Obviously, it was not an effective way to convince the others.
Qin Feng observed the crowd who were locking horns with each other with their red and angry faces. He was instantly humored by the scene.
However, the chaotic drama would not end until someone stepped up to reinstate order. It could perhaps last for days and nights without any proper resolutions.
At that moment, the crowd felt a sudden surge of horrifying presence that filled the surroundings. A shadow of a person slowly walked out from the stage where Cleaves was standing.
Obviously, it was the shadow of a powerful S-tier.
“Is anyone dissatisfied with this suggestion?” The man spoke in a deep voice.

Accompanied by a wild witch who has secrets of her own, they come across terrible creatures, hauntings, cursed villages, and memories from their past. Who else will they meet along their journey, and to find what he is looking for, how far will the wizard have to wander west? NOTE: The above synopsis is intentionally written to be as spoiler-free as possible. If you would like a more in-detail synopsis, one that contains minor spoilers, please check out the "Synopsis" chapter at the beginning of this fiction. If you read and enjoy, please leave a rating or review! FORMERLY TITLED: THE GLIMMERLING This story was formerly titled "The Glimmerling", because the first part was a short story of that title; it has since been expanded upon, thus the title change. Chapters 1-8 (30k words) are the first 'arc', if you want to get a feel for the story. To give some context on the setting: Magic is a bit weaker in this story than you might be used to, and we start off following some relatively new magic users. For some perspective, being able to light a campfire with magic is considered relatively advanced for someone who is the age of the main character. Magic can become very powerful - and there are some examples of powerful wizards within this story - but it's not where the main characters are yet. Part of the story is about following them as they learn more about magic. Enemies are also very dangerous, and running, hiding, or trying to talk their way out of a dangerous situation is often a better choice than fighting for the characters. While I have added tags for traumatizing content, sexuality, violence, swearing, etc. I try to avoid super-explicit descriptions of these things. But they are part of the story.
