Chapter 896: The Owner of the Severed Hand

It had only been four years since the day Fengli was first established. When Qin Feng was the mayor, and the time when the black market was still operating here, this place was bustling with people.

But after Qin Feng left, most residents of the Fengli colony had gone with him too. The once glorified colony was only an empty shell now. Its population had dropped sharply and did not recover much the past year.

These zombies did not need to purposely hunt down the humans. They spread their rotten aura to every corner of the colony simply by walking around aimlessly.

A lady breathed in the rotten aura before she could cover her mouth and nose. Immediately, her eyes rolled as she fainted and fell to the ground. Her body then decomposed rapidly. Not long after, her eyes reopened but there was no sign of life within. She stood and moved rigidly like a low-tier zombie.

The evil runes spread through the entire town like a suffocating plague.

On top of the zombie army, a bald man sitting on the back of a skeleton mammoth was watching coldly.

The man was abnormally thin. There was no flesh between his skin and bone. Oddly, there was not a single wrinkle throughout the surface. His skin looked artificial, perhaps made from inflexible materials like bones.

One of his hands was slim and pearl white, while the other one was asymmetrically green in color.

He probed the entire Fengli City with its enormous aura. Clearly, he did not find what he was searching for.

“Move on. It’s not here.”

“Yes, My Lord,” A dark knight by the Skeletal Sovereign side replied obediently.

The army finally moved and descended from the Zimu Mountains. Anywhere they passed through, the corpses were infected by the rotten aura and turned into the sovereign’s loyal followers.

“Wait!” The Skeletal Sovereign abruptly waved his hand and the army stopped short under his order.

About ten kilometers away, a spatial tunnel was connected. Qin Feng and Bai Li then walked out from it.

Qin Feng’s senses immediately expanded. Even if they were separated by thousands of kilometers, Qin Feng would still instantly detect the sovereign’s presence.

Apparently, the Skeletal Sovereign had detected Qin Feng as well.

“Just as I have guessed,” Qin Feng said.

Bai Li’s consciousness had also confirmed their enemy’s identity.

“Surrender the dark sacred stone and I will keep your body in one piece,” The Skeletal Sovereign said.

Qin Feng chided coldly, “Return to where you came from and I will pretend I never saw you here.”

“Hahahaha, how arrogant!”

The Skeletal Sovereign still had no idea who Qin Feng was. Moreover, the Hell Stone aura had been completely stripped off from Qin Feng. The sovereign thought that the human was here to stop him, or he was the little fox’s helper.

Regardless of who he was, whoever blocking his path deserved to be killed.

“Kill him!” The Skeletal Sovereign pointed at Qin Feng. The knight by his side lurched forward instantly on his skeletal mount.

The horse ascended like there was an invisible plank in the air. Its soul burned brightly and reached Qin Feng’s front within a few breaths.

The dark knight was an A4-tier beast emperor.

Then, another frightening energy landed from the sky.

Qin Feng controlled his internal strength and pressed down forcefully.

It was like a planet had landed on them. The zombie army was crushed instantly. All the C-tier monsters on the Zimu Mountains except the Skeletal Sovereign were exterminated by the assault.

Qin Feng would not let any of the monsters escape. Even one going loose would be a disaster to the Three Cities along the Sun.

While his army was being demolished, the Skeletal Sovereign did not even bat an eye. It could always summon more of them. These were just cannon fodders he had little care for.

The Skeletal Sovereign kept its eyes fixed on Qin Feng and raised both of his hands.

The next moment, a giant skeletal hand appeared out of thin air. Its sharp claws fell rapidly on Qin Feng.

A few years ago, Qin Feng would still be daunted by the claws. He would thread carefully so that he would not waste this second chance given to him for nothing.

But these claws were no longer worth worrying about. They were extremely fragile in Qin Feng’s seasoned eyes.
