Chapter 892: Chapter 892
Chapter 892: The Stealthy Assassin
Qin Feng began to limit his presence to a smaller radius. This would make the control of the concealment much easier and make his consciousness function more precisely. When he was doing this, others who had weaker consciousness than him would never be able to locate him unless he purposely let them. This method was, in many ways, similar to how the Eye Devil locked onto Qin Feng.
Qin Feng, with his consciousness heightened due to his presence being reined in, was able to locate He Tianxing in a matter of seconds.
Under the vision of his heightened consciousness, Qin Feng saw that He Tianxing looked like a massive, raging flame—one that burned much brighter than the others around him. Other than this big flame, there was also another equally powerful presence next to him too.
“So, that must be the Voodoo Lord!”
Although Qin Feng had already determined these two S-tiers’ locations, both of them had not noticed his presence yet. After all, Qin Feng’s consciousness right now was much more powerful and potent than theirs.
“So, He Tianxing’s only an S2-tier ancient warrior? Hmm… that Voodoo Lord seems to be a little weaker than him though… about S1-tier… he’s an S1-tier ability user.”
After a brief analysis, Qin Feng was able to determine their strength. Unlike the first impression where he felt that these two S-tiers were invisible and unbreakable, they were now creatures that he could assassinate.
“This way!”
Qin Feng pointed in a direction before Bai Li teleported both of them away. After a few blinks of teleportation, Qin Feng was now about ten kilometers away from He Tianxing.
They were really close to his target now.
“Stand by in your pocket dimension. I’ll come find you after I’ve dealt with He Tianxing.”
“Okay!”
After replying giddily, Bai Li’s body began to turn invisible before blinking into her own pocket dimension.
Qin Feng’s presence, on the other hand, began to fade to almost nothing. It felt as though he was never there at all. Under the cloak of the dark runes, one would think that this was just a shade of shadows in the dark.

Qin Feng began to move closer to his target again.
Qin Feng’s physical prowess right now was able to easily overcome the supposedly great distance of ten kilometers. To him, this was just a-dozen-second away.
Meanwhile, He Tianxing had rendezvoused with the Voodoo Lord.
They were meeting at a small ravine. It was a rather secluded location, a ravine that was about a hundred meters wide and twenty meters deep. If one had not entered the canyon and looked carefully, they would not be able to see them.
Both of the S-tiers had their men stand guard at various areas of the canyon—its entrances and the top of the hills.
Still, these guards were just A-tiers. So, Qin Feng was still able to get past them with a little effort. In fact, he was able to see Fire Phoenix at one of the canyon entrances.
Qin Feng could easily kill Fire Phoenix right now if he wanted to. However, he did not want to invite unnecessary attention to himself at the moment.
Hence, without causing much suspicion from these A-tiers, Qin Feng zipped through them and toward his targets.
Meanwhile, He Tianxing and the Voodoo Lord were using fallen trees as a coffee table and seats—they were having a comfortable tea time. Well, only the Voodoo Lord was the one who was drinking tea; He Tianxing had not touched his cup at all.
The Voodoo Lord was known to be a master of poison. It would be too easy and amateurish for him to poison a cup of tea—something not someone of his reputation would do. Still, He Tianxing was still not letting his guard down. This was why he had never drank the Voodoo Lord’s tea every time they met.
“Hey, man. I heard your Sky Demon Sword was stolen by a little brat. And now it has become Long Yue’s property. Is that true? Tch tch! This little kid is so gutsy!” The Voodoo Lord smirked.
He Tianxing’s attempt at killing Qin Feng in the Blood River Realm was already a well-known fact in the world. The Voodoo Lord was not just He Tianxing’s business partner but also his rival; so, naturally he had some spies planted amongst He Tianxing’s underlings. Of course, He Tianxing had also done the same.

This was how the Voodoo Lord would know about the news.
He Tianxing, upon hearing the Voodoo Lord’s teasing, soured up a grim face. “It’s just a sword.”
“Hey, but your reputation and moniker were built upon that sword!”
“Voodoo Lord”, “Eye Devil” and “He Tianxing” were all monikers. Those were not their real names—these names were given to them by the public who feared the skills they were known for.
He Tianxing was known to be a sword demon. Hence, his moniker was attached to the ancient legend of a swordsman and killer.
He was someone as fearsome and infamous as the Voodoo Lord himself. And yet, this man was mocking him right now. He Tianxing could not help but be enraged by his words.
“So what? Perhaps you want to spar a few rounds with me? You’ll see if I’m really nothing without my sword.” He Tianxing replied.
“Oh, perhaps I might take you up on that invitation.” The Voodoo Lord smirked.
“Watch your mouth, Voodoo Lord! You don’t want me as your enemy!”
He Tianxing glared his fiery eyes at his business partner—he was getting more and more furious with this man now.
Seeing He Tianxing like this, the Voodoo Lord cackled in laughter before replying, “Hahaha! My friend, you know I’m only joking around. I would never fight you!”
“Hmph!” He Tianxing still sounded unsatisfied with the Voodoo Lord’s attitude.
“However, we might want to review our contract now. In recent years, there has been some turbulence in the market and economy on our side. It’s not easy to do business anymore, you know? So, would it be alright if I take 10% of the earnings on your end?”
“One-tenth?! In your dreams!”
“Hey, come on. How about 9%?”
“No. I might consider it if it’s 1% though!”
After a little bit of tense negotiation, He Tianxing finally agreed on giving up on 3% of his earnings to the Voodoo Lord. This seemed to be not much but it was still quite a considerable sum of earnings.
On the other hand, Qin Feng was lurking in the shadows, waiting for the right opportunity to strike.
It was then the Voodoo Lord flung his hand; a fling of dark beam was shot straight at He Tianxing.
This beam was actually a shot of dark green poison.
He Tianxing was relaxed after finally reaching an agreement with the Voodoo Lord. He did not think the Voodoo Lord would suddenly attack him.
Still, He Tianxing was still an S-tier. His combat prowess was nothing to be scoffed at. Thus, he was able to react in the split second and activate his internal energy shield, blocking the poison.
“Voodoo Lord! What are you doing?!”
“Hahahaha! He Tianxing! Stop pretending. If it were in the old days, you would never have forfeited any of your earnings and shared them with me! So… perhaps it’s time to end our partnership. And I’ll be taking over your Black Island. Now, do rest in peace, my friend.”
As soon as he finished his words, the Voodoo Lord shot out his dark green poison at He Tianxing again.
He Tianxing, while blocking the poison, unsheathed his saber and attacked the Voodoo Lord.
Qin Feng did not think things would turn out like this. Regardless, he remained still and quiet, not letting these two find out his presence.
Qin Feng was able to observe that the Voodoo Lord did not display much murderous intent—it seemed that his intention was not really to kill He Tianxing but rather get more profits for his trade.
Of course, He Tianxing could also see this. As such, he clenched his teeth and asked, “Enough! Just how much dough do you want?!”
“Well… I want…”
When the Voodoo Lord was about to open his mouth and ask for the 10% again, a silhouette zoomed down from the cliff above them!

So taking an intrusive portal to god-knows-where, Mara will come to find that her new world offers boons and banes with equal abandon. Magic, skills, and unforgiving difficulty. This is a story of magic and adventure with skills and stats galore. A litrpg / isekai epic that I've been inspired to make after years of wonderful works like "So I'm a Spider," "Rimuru the Slime," "Azarinth Healer," "Negima!?," and plethora of other isekai and fantasy novels and animes. Special shout-out to Douglas Adams, a big influence on narative humor that's had a non-insignificant effect on my writing style. I hope you enjoy joining Mara on her journey as I attempt to scratch the itch they left behind.Chapters target 3-6k~ words. Though I'm personally aiming for a chapter every couple weeks, I think I can at least promise one a month with how busy work's been.
