Chapter 822: 822
Chapter 822: The Passage is Open Again
After one month, the people who survived until this time were less than one-tenth in Chongluo City.
Chongluo City was a large city with a population of one million. Last time, more than one hundred thousand people followed Qin Feng out and left behind nine hundred thousand people. However, it looked like only seventy to eighty thousand people had survived these past cruel intense months from the looks of things.
The pressure of survival, scarcity of food, the city going into a standstill, the issue with food rations and not starving to death were the biggest problems.
When people were fighting over the food that remained, they would have to leave their homes and had a chance of getting attacked by ultra beasts or killed by increasing numerous mutant plants.
Once the rations were gone, the only thing one could do was spontaneously fight ultra beasts. It was life or death inside there.
Under these circumstances, everyone who survived was not weak.
The entire Chongluo City had been divided into three forces.
One of them was Chu Fan acting under Qin Feng’s orders.
Within a month the Devourer had evolved into a D-tier beast king. Although Qin Feng had reached D-tier, they were definitely no match for a D-tier beast king. They were only normal parallel-trained D-tier ancient warriors.
That being said, the potential for the Devourer was incredibly strong.
As a result, Chu Fan, who had mastered the Devourer, gathered a team of five thousand people under him. Under this team, they could protect people and feed them as well. Overall, under Chu Fan’s protection, there were eventually three hundred to four hundred thousand people who followed under his command.
In addition to Chu Fan, there was also a team that was led by a woman. This woman was the same one that killed the Tiger King that Qin Feng severely wounded.
She was actually in her thirties. In aptitude user terms, she was really not that old but for civilians, she had reached the age where she had experienced a lot in her life that made her understand the hardships of life which only made her more vicious.

After she hid away, she consumed the Tiger King entirely and left no trace behind. In the matter of seven days, the huge tiger ended up in her belly.
Wang Qin’s height suddenly rose up, her body looked like it had been pinched and stretched. She had lost weight.
She was now 185cm in height, so she stood out among ordinary women. Due to her having lost weight, she looked young and beautiful but when it came to ordinary men she exuded absolute pressure.
The people that Wang Qin rescued were all women, the team only had one thousand people and there were no aptitude users among them. They were all civilians and supported by the ultra beasts that Wang Qin hunted down.
However, these women also had families and friends, so their team got bigger and bigger, gradually forming a team of up to twenty thousand people.
The third force was the smallest team with only five hundred people, but it was the most powerful.
It was the only C-tier parallel-trained ancient warrior, Zhang Wu’s team.
After running away for his life, Zhang Wu did not dare try to follow the Fengli Organization out a month before. He even felt that this world was one where he was all-powerful. He stayed behind and contacted a few former aptitude users. After organizing hunts and robbing resources, he discovered that the meat of the ultra beasts could increase a person’s strength, so he naturally became fiercer and fiercer as he tried to rapidly increase his strength.
Of course, Zhang Wu was a lustful man, so there were a large number of young and beautiful women in his team which totaled up to two to three thousand people.
And then, there were teams of a few hundred people about, teams of a few dozen people, all scattered about the decaying, decadent Chongluo City.
In just one month, plant growth had been rampant. Chongluo City was no longer a concrete jungle, but a city covered by lush vegetation. There were always ultra beasts coming into the area, threatening those that tried to survive here.

The most central location of Chongluo City still had people who regularly cleaned it. The Fengli Organization’s stairway was the only hope they had to escape this place.
Especially with the team that Chu Fan had established, people had become more convinced that they would leave.
And now, the grey sky above their heads started to become pitch black and a silver light emerged.
What followed was the launch of signal flares so the entire city could see this happening.
Within a month, the surviving humans had adapted to life here and even more of them dared to stand tall.
“Goodness me! The Fengli Org- The Fengli Organization is really here again!”
“Let’s go, even if we die on the way there, we must reach the central square!”
“If I really do get out, I want to join the Fengli Organization. I don’t care what position they put me in. I’ll be happy to work for them all my life!”
Countless teams made up their minds almost immediately and came out of their hiding spots, overcoming obstacles and rushing for the central square.
Chu Fan’s team stationed at the central square also stared wide-eyed, unable to believe that such happiness would come so suddenly.
“Mr. Chu! Shall we…leave?” A large man asked, occasionally glancing at the Devourer Chu Fan sat on top of in fear.
It was different from the ultra beasts in this dimension, it had a huge body and looked like it was developing in the same way the Glutton Leviathan was. Its body had reached the height of six stories tall and was like a massive hill.
There were no runes here, no abilities, so it naturally could not use size-changing. The Devourer’s size could only get bigger and bigger.
Chu Fan looked down at the people, each of them were so small to him. They had to raise their heads and shout loudly with anxious expressions and bright eyes. It seemed that even if Chu Fan refused, they would act in secret.
Of course, he did not refuse.
“Order everyone to evacuate!” Chu Fan answered.
Those people all cheered excitedly.
Clang! Clang!
In the black passage, the metal stairway could be seen connected to the top of the original stairway. Some people even entered, holding tools to connect these two stairs together.
Chu Fan added, “Control the people properly first. Don’t let anyone go up. Wait until the Fengli people are done with the ladder and we’ll go together!”
“Yes, Mr. Chu!”
The person below replied loudly then went about to busy himself, but he could not hide his excitement, ‘Finally, I don’t need to listen to this brat any longer. He still looked out for us in the end, that was unexpected. Forget it, once we’re back in the original world, whether or not he brings that Devourer creature, I’ll stop bothering this kid!’
Although Chu Fan had saved countless people, sometimes he would feed the bodies of dead humans to the Devourer. In their eyes, they respected and feared Chu Fan, now that they could escape him, they were more than happy.
At this time, nobody was thinking about staying in this plane. Only Chu Fan, standing on top of the Devourer, had a smirk at the corner of his mouth.
“Finally rid of these idiots!”
In his line of sight, people had gradually begun to gather. The once quiet Chongluo City was bustling once again!

The Last Journey
A slice of life litrpg story... or is it? It's burning slow, though. Moving on: War comes with a great cost. Lives and time wasted for most part. One could either be run with sword, be poisoned, be bowed, and sometimes meet their end with just a tiny speck of wood. With magic, it becomes even more colorful. From lightning, to worse poison, to hovering rocks, to weird bladed leaves, to whipping roots, and to a lot more odd things easily reasoned with magic. A wonderful creation. But once used to something more than wonder, more than tricks to gather laughs, it becomes worse. War becomes worse. For there is not only blood to be spilled. A particular town almost met the same end. Soldiers geared with swrords and bows came with mounts. Horses burning lush grasses as it cracked boulders and the soil alike with every step. The kind that only war ones could ever do. Even strange wheeled creations that oozed danger were towed, loaded with something meant to destroy. But not once had they acted upon what such devices should've done, nor what an an army is supposed to do. Siege never occurred, as much as a command to war. No. Magic existed so a simple little fire is all the worth the town has. No sword drawn, no arrows nocked, nothing. Just some mana spent and through the ash they march. That was how Nudius saw her end. It came not even as a surprise. She didn't have the moment to fully register what occurred before she found herself in an empty dark space. Life lost, time spent. All from a fire that had not even touched her. But she knew very well that it was magic. Something she wished to have and strived for to have. Yet it seemed that none of it would matter now. Nudius was well aware of what the color around meant, of the odd situation, of the unfeeling state of her being. It was death and that was it. She didn't have to worry or dream further. Although there wasn't what she truly wanted in what death to her is, but at least, Nudius was comforted to what she believed death is. Rest. But little did she know there's something more than that empty space. It wasn't only the promise of rest, but was also more than she could ever hope for. Another chance at life. Another chance to dream. ***Tags are there just in case. You never know! Umm... HI-MI-TSU. Story blurb+: This is slow burn, quite slice of life story about a girl learning magic. All the while as she fatten herself up. So yeah, progression fantasy. But there's Litrpg! Numbers! Magic! Spells! And of course! There's something more. But read on ahead, please. Oh yes. Plot! There is, too. Disclaimer: The cover isn't made by me. Just layered it with a text. I got it from a free website, if I correctly recall. I'll see to it. (Haven't worked on it.)

The Collected Short Stories of Necrontyr525
Hey all, Necrontyr525 here! Rather then drown you all in a flood of one- to three-chapter mini-fics, I've decided to put out all of my short stories in an 'omnibus' format, sorted by series and by release date. These stories span my entire progress as a writer-for-fun over the past three plus years, with the corisponding variance in length, subject matter, and quality. Each chapter will get an Author's Note as a sort of forwards. Not nessisarily as a summary, but more to give you all some context for where each short came from, as well as any chapter-spicific trigger warnings. I can't think of any off of the top of my head, but better safe then sour.Comments, reviews, and constuctive criticizm is welcome, but please do recall that these works collectivly represent a great deal of my growth as a writer.Cover by the wonderful gej302! Free Your Mind
A journey through the mind can be a mixture of the good, the bad, the pure, and the evil. Free Your Mind is a collection of poems and short stories that I've written over the years. As of now, this book is still in progress, but I've planned to release at least 25 to 30 chapters minimum for Free Your Mind. Hopefully you enjoy reading through the works already published for this book, and I hope you'll stick around for what's to come in the future. If you have any comments, ideas, critiques, etc. please let me know! I'm always open to what people have to say about my work. Free Your Mind is a way for me to dabble into releasing my writings for the public to read. And hopefully, if all goes decent with this book, I'll continue to upload different works alongside this. Note: Currently the cover work for Free Your Mind isn't mine. I plan to upload an original design once I've completed the chapters for this book.
