Master of the End Times Chapter 751

Chapter 751: The Opening of Hell Island
Liu Hang’s face reddened out of embarrassment.
More peoples’ sights were fixed on him now.
It was just human nature. When the enemy was simply too powerful to be dealt with, people would begin to shirk the responsibility and blame their misfortune on someone else. That could alleviate, at least partly, their helplessness.
“Yes, I remember now. He is the whistleblower.”
“If not because of him, my father wouldn’t have meddled in this sh*t.”
“He is just using us as cannon fodder!”
Everyone was now glaring at Liu Hang resentfully.
Liu Hang’s red face slowly turned pale. Qin Feng sneered and did not plan to stay involved. He did not even bother to give Liu Hang another look. He had something else in mind.
Before he went on to declare his remaining fund, Fire Phoenix had reached him first.
“Sir, welcome to our auction center again. Because of your previous spending, we have upgraded you to VIP. In the next few days, there’s no need for you to go through the declaration process again. Just enter freely and this number plate will be reserved for you until the end of the auction.”
Fire Phoenix took out a number plate that had 1-8 written on it.
A single-digit number plate. It showed that Dusk Dragon held Qin Feng in high regard.
Qin Feng accepted the number plate and walked to his VIP room following Fire Phoenix’s lead.
It was a larger room as compared to the previous. The decorations were grander too.
Fire Phoenix said, “Sir, you are now one of our most prestigious VIPs. Hence, you would be told about the goods we are auctioning a day before. You can also bid before everyone else. Of course, that doesn’t apply to items being auctioned out today. Besides, you would still need to outbid other prestigious VIPs.”
Qin Feng nodded. He then received the auction list from Fire Phoenix.
There was nothing that drew Qin Feng’s attention today. He had zero interest in weapons since he could easily make one using the Magical Tesseract anytime he wanted.

He then continued to look at the list and realized that the B-tier cores sold by Dusk Dragon were mostly of great quality. They were at least B5-tier and above.
That meant the better ones were to be expected in the coming days.
After all, this was the Dusk Dragon that had Hell Island in its grasp.
Before Qin Feng was about to ask about it, Bai Li held his hand.
“Hubby, this one is not bad.”
“Oh? Which one?”
Qin Feng’s sight followed Bai Li’s finger on the list and found that the Dusk Dragon was auctioning a secret dimension.
He did not pay attention earlier. After being pointed out by Bai Li, he scanned the territory again and realized it was not a usual area.
The territory was way smaller than the Battlegod Tomb, measured at about 100m3.
However, it had a special feature. Time passed quicker inside the dimension.
One day on the outside equaled one year inside.
Such a territory was very rare to find. One would only spend one day in real-time to achieve one year’s worth of training inside. Any aptitude users who spent roughly ten days inside would metamorphose into a sturdy veteran while the world remained largely the same.
With such an alluring feature, Qin Feng voiced the doubt in his mind, “If this territory is so great, why is the starting bid only set at 10 billion? In fact, the cut-off price is also relatively cheap at 100 billion.”
All the items displayed had a fixed cut-off price tagged to them. This helped the auction center to access the actual value of an item.
Fire Phoenix said, “I dare not hide it from you. You would know it anyway after you enter the territory. First, several spatial rifts are present inside the secret territory and could not be stabilized using spatial stones. There’s thus a huge risk of staying inside as it would collapse anytime. More importantly, you still experience time the same way while you are inside, meaning that you will age rapidly in there.”

Life might not be important to some people, especially in this miserable world. Many would rather exchange their life for great power and wealth.
But to Qin Feng, he was only 18 years old and his potential was at its peak now.
Spending his next vibrant ten years inside the dimension would not help him drastically at the moment.
On the other hand, this dimension suited Bai Li extremely well.
To a spatial beast, Bai Li was only a three-year-old pup.
Her life was measured by thousands and thousands of years. Twenty years was nothing significant in comparison.
As for the spatial rifts, that was exactly the thing Bai Li excelled in.
Seeing that Bai Li and Qin Feng had fallen into silence, Fire Phoenix immediately added, “But there’s still some use to the secret territory. For instance, you can grow herbs or fruits quickly there. Valuable herbs that usually require thousands of years to harvest would rippen in three years there. It’s highly profitable.”
Of course, the most important thing was to have enough energy in there. But the territory had no other upside other than the quicker time flow. Fire Phoenix knew what to avoid and only promoted the advantage of the dimension.
Qin Feng nodded and said, “Alright, I will buy it.” He then took out one spatial equipment full of power credits and passed it to Phoenix.
After that, Qin Feng said, “I scanned through your list and found a lot of B-tier cores. I would like to have one hundred B-tier beast emperor cores as well.”
Fire Phoenix was slightly surprised by Qin Feng’s splurging spree.
‘Was he convinced by me and is preparing the cores to grow herbs in there? This is rather impulsive.’
‘Anyway, I guess the money is earned from killing others. That money doesn’t belong to him, to begin with, so it wouldn’t ache him one bit to use them for an experiment.’
Fire Phoenix found a sensible reason to explain Qin Feng’s lavish spending.
What she did not know was that Qin Feng intended to use the cores to nurture a beast deity instead of herbs.
Phoenix promptly called out the storage list of Dusk Dragon and selected one hundred beast cores according to Qin Feng’s request. Since they were all ranked as beast emperor tier, the price was much higher than other cores available in other markets. A hundred of the cores cost Qin Feng 80 billion in the end. His funds had shrunk by 80% in one bill!
Yet, he was still wealthier than most of the buyers in the event.
Qin Feng and Bai Li did not stay in the center after they received the territory waymark.
Back in their room, Qin Feng passed the beast deity core he purchased earlier to Bai Li. “Just try your best. Don’t force it if you can’t break through this time. We will have a lot of opportunities in the future. Take this core with you.”
Qin Feng had no use of the core at the moment. It was better to give it to Bai Li so that she had a chance to progress into the next tier. He did not mind even if it failed. Qin Feng had a lot of ways to find beast deity cores in the future.
For instance, the Hundred-Claw in the East Sea should have evolved by now.
Bai Li did not refuse after Qin Feng persuaded her. She brought the core along with her into the secret territory.
Three days after that, Qin Feng did not leave the hotel and did not visit the auction center either.
Now, no one would dare to disturb Qin Feng.
On the fourth day, Hell Island had officially been opened up.

Note: Sadly, this story is currently on hiatus :( Elizabeth Sayler had lost everything in the bombing of Reaver Stadium. When the apocalypse comes in a flurry of System messages, everyone on earth is given a choice: give up what they value most in themselves, and acquire a path to their heart’s greatest desire. Most would hesitate, but for Liz? She has nothing to lose, and absolutely everything to gain. Armed with newfound powers in a world teeming with monsters, she’s determined to not only survive, but to somehow break the Void’s endless assault. * * * This is a small note about the portrayal of disability in this story. As much research as I do and as many people as I ask, I will in the end only be able to understand a small portion of paraplegia and similar disabilities. Therefore, if there is anything particularly disrespectful, please do not hesitate to contact me. I always intended to portray disability in a respectful way in this story, but please know that Liz as a character does not start out with a healthy view of disability. This is intentional, and a large part of her character development comes from this view changing as she learns. Disability is not something she simply "discards" at the beginning of the story, but an ongoing theme and a part of her journey.
