Chapter 668: The Fengli Organization’s Attitude

What He Jia did not expect was when she delivered the news to Guo Guan, the man did not look devastated at all. Instead he took a puff from his cigarette and scrunched up his brows as if in deep thought.

“So what you’re saying is you didn’t see President Qin die, you only saw him get swallowed by some sea beast?”

“It’s not just any sea beast, I know this is hard for you but you need to understand this, the Glutton Leviathan is extremely powerful. It might as well have an A-tier beast emperor’s power, maybe even a step away from a beast deity. Such a creature, even if an A-tier tried to face it they would wind up dead and Governor Qin is only C-tier!”

Guo Guan raised a hand, cutting off the other person’s increasingly panicked babbling.

“I know, but our President Qin Feng isn’t just any normal C-tier!”

The moment Guo Guan heard these three words, he suddenly seemed less tense, his expression more relaxed.

“It’s like this, today the President went out to sea and the aptitude user who went with him later returned saying that the President is in danger and has been swallowed by a massive ultra beast. We’re not sure about the specific situation!”

Bai Li frowned and said, “That’s impossible. Qin Feng’s fine!”

Guo Guan nodded, expressing his understanding.

“I understand, pardon me!” Guo Guan said.

“If you’re worried, I can go and check it out!”

“No, it should be fine. I believe the president can handle it himself!”

“Okay, then I’m hanging up!”

When Bai Li hung up, Guo Guan seemed to be in brighter spirits and called someone else with his communicator.

He Jia stared at him blankly and immediately said, “That’s it? What do you mean? Who was that woman?”

Guo Guan raised a hand to shush He Jia as his communicator was picked up again.

“Old Guo? What’s the matter?” The person on the other end was the modestly wealthy Xue Xingfu.

“Old Xue, it’s like this. The President’s gone out to the sea and disappeared. I’m afraid we might have to stop operations here for a while!”

“Disappeared again? He really likes to make people uncomfortable. Come back and avoid getting any attention or else people will think our company head has actually gone and try to take advantage of us. Good thing Miss Bai didn’t go out with him, these B-tiers are a pain in the neck!”

“Alright, understood. Business here will be suspended, I’ll be withdrawing now!”

“Alright, see you later!”

After that call ended, He Jia raised an eyebrow and said in disbelief, “Mr Guo, you still don’t believe what happened to Governor Qin? I saw it with my own eyes!”

Guo Guan nodded and said, “I know but you don’t know President Qin. So, what you saw with your own eyes isn’t necessarily the result of what you said, besides the President will be fine. Believe me, he’ll be back in about a month, wait, maybe less than that!”

“How is that possible? Why would you say that? Is there any evidence to prove that he’s alright? What you’re saying is just guesswork and expectations! If things aren’t what you think then it’ll be too late by then!” He Jia said.

She thought what Guo Guan had to do was inform the people of the Fengli Organization and the North Sea State to be fully prepared, and maybe disperse their business to prevent enemies from reaching their door.

Guo Guan replied, “We have our own criteria when it comes to this. Don’t worry about it and if you don’t understand that then I guess we’re done talking. I can’t tell you more! It’s a Fengli Organization’s secret!”

Such a secret was something that nobody should know of.

But really, the secret was very simple and some people in the upper levels had already figured it out!

Bai Li was as simple as a sheet of paper. She had only lived with humans for about two years and had a very short time to understand how the human society functioned. Eventually, there were going to be some slip ups!

Gradually, the upper class figured out that Bai Li was some kind of humanoid ultra beast and this beast had signed a contract with Qin Feng.

As such, due to the contract if anything did happen to Qin Feng then Bai Li would be the first to know but she seemed fine, as if nothing had happened to the contractor at all.

Of course, Guo Guan was not going to say this to He Jia.

He quickly recalled his men. As for the Deep-sea Feng Li, he stopped caring about it and opened up a spatial rift to take his people back to the North Sea state.

Meanwhile, Qin Feng who had no idea what was going on in the outside world was having his own crisis.

His wanton destruction of the Glutton’s insides was obviously causing it severe pain but likewise the creature eventually figured out what was causing this uncontrollable pain in its body.

Countless dark runes gathered and coalesced in the area where it suffered the most pain, trying to kill the thing that was the culprit.

Like when a person was sick and their body’s natural immune system would send out antibodies to deal with the virus.

Around Qin Feng, a number of dark shadows appeared

“Wuu!”

These phantoms took on the shape of the Glutton Leviathan, forming a hideous sea beast with a gaping maw as they pounced out from the surrounding walls.

“Fire Dragon Style!”

Qin Feng’s consciousness was activated and a fire dragon was summoned around him to defend against these dark shadows.

“Tailwind Assist!” Yu Yangtao activated his wind runes and with the power of his wind runes added in, he amplified the strength of the flames and doubled the effectiveness of the fire dragon.
