Chapter 666: The Glutton’s Treasure

‘Looks like the Glutton Leviathan’s power is similar to my own Absorption Ability. Makes sense, after all, darkness is innately all-consuming!’

Even though its own absorption ability was very powerful, there were some things that could not be absorbed such as spatial rune equipment. Qin Feng swept out with his consciousness and within the sea water he detected that glittering silver spatial rune equipment.

Almost instantly, Qin Feng looked revitalized.

That was because he had discovered a whole bunch of stone-like objects nestled at the bottom of the sea water.

The amount that he detected was absolutely shocking.

There must have been hundreds of those all around.

He immediately manipulated his internal force to carry him down and used his consciousness to gather up the stone-like objects.

A tightly packed stream of silver light slithered into Qin Feng’s internal force and stopped in front of him.

“Whoa! These! These are…” Yu Yangtao was immediately shocked. He had never seen so many spatial stones before and it seemed like these spatial stones had been smoothed out by constant friction, despite that they contained items!

“These must be the belongings of the aptitude users that the Glutton Leviathan killed!” Qin Feng breathed, his eyes glittered at the sight in front of him.

Those who were killed by the Glutton were about C-tier and among these aptitude users, some of its victims could very well be A-tiers as well.

“Yeah, but it’s a shame that these things are completely useless to us!” Yu Yangtao said solemnly. Their lives were in danger, what good were a bunch of trinkets?

Qin Feng thought this funny and did not bother explaining himself, instead he said, “Since you don’t have any interest in this, Sir. Don’t mind me if I help myself!”

“I might not be dead now but that’s because I was lucky enough to have met you. As for these things, I wouldn’t be so brazen as to ask for them!” Yu Yangtao said.

Qin Feng smiled, thinking that the man would probably later regret his words.

He pulled out his combat backpack from his spatial rune equipment and packed all these spatial stones in it. He kept wandering through the sea water, collecting spatial stones wherever he went!

He carried the backpack on his back, and while he was physically strong, eventually he started to feel a little bit weighed down.

This was unimaginable wealth!

Who knew how many people the Glutton Leviathan had killed these past years.

“So, how much longer can you last with your internal force, Brother?”

Yu Yangtao observed Qin Feng for a while, thinking that Qin Feng was fulfilling a fantasy about being rich before he died but what he did not expect was that after ten minutes the internal force around them was still plentiful as if it was not being eaten away.

This really surprised Yu Yangtao.

“It’s enough to stay up for about ten days, probably even half a month!” Qin Feng said.

Yu Yangtao was completely flabbergasted. “You’re joking!”

“What’s the point of joking in this current situation?” Qin Feng said and within the span of his consciousness he could no longer detect any spatial stones. Still, he was not finished and pulled back his consciousness to pay attention to the most important matter at hand.

“What kind of ultra beast is the Glutton Leviathan? Where’s its heart or its crystal core?” Qin Feng asked.

Yu Yangtao raised a brow. “And you’re asking this why?”

Qin Feng naturally replied with, “To kill it of course!”

“How… how would that be possible?”

“Nothing’s in this world is impossible. We might not have been able to damage it on the outside since this thing is so large and so powerful but once we’re inside it it has no power against us. Naturally we’ll have no problems!”

Yu Yangtao was stunned by Qin Feng’s words.

But very soon he responded, “How could it not have any power? The Glutton Leviathan is a deep-sea whale beast. It’s huge and it has control over the dark ability as well as the water ability. We’re in its stomach right now and seawater could wash us away at any moment. Not to mention if we touch its blood we’ll die instantly!”

Just as he finished talking a gush of sea water suddenly came down from above, along with a terrifying ten-meter long ultra beast.

Yu Yangtao jumped at the sight out of fright, this terrifying ultra beast was a B-tier beast emperor.

The B-tier ultra beast’s body had been bitten in two and the moment it reached the stomach it was immediately being digested by the dark runes around them. Qin Feng did not hesitate to help himself, pulling out his Verdant Emperor Saber and carving away at the beast to collect what materials he could salvage. All that mattered was if the crystal core was still intact.

Yu Yangtao could not help but admire Qin Feng’s determination.

‘Is this Qin Feng guy some kind of money addict?’ he thought to himself.

At this time, when the massive ultra beast dropped into the stomach, a viscous white fluid began to leak from the surrounding walls.

Hsssss!

The liquid melded with the sea water and seemingly melted it away. Not only that, there were several hard to digest fragments of deep-sea vessels still scattered about which were quickly getting melted away as well.

Qin Feng’s demeanor changed immediately.

The dark runes he could deal with but this was something else entirely!

This kind of stomach acid could digest everything except spatial stones. His internal force was getting quickly eaten away. If this continued on he could only persist for about an hour, let alone persisting for ten days and half a month!

“Even if we don’t want to move, we have to do it now!”

Qin Feng said as he grabbed Yu Yangtao and moved quickly.

The stomach acid was stronger near the Glutton’s stomach walls but Qin Feng had to get close to it.

“Burning Sword Glare!”

The Verdant Emperor Saber ignited with a dark fuchsia flame before he used it to hack open a hole in the wall.

With a slash, he cut a large gap in the stomach wall and pulled Yu Yangtao along as he jumped out. They were surrounded by red flesh and blood but after Qin Feng hopped out, his internal force was no longer being affected by the stomach acid.

All of a sudden, Yu Yangtao and Qin Feng felt the space around them turn.

What came after was a deafening roar that seemed to be right next to them.

That must have been the Glutton Leviathan’s roar.

If it was just a roar, then it was nothing but this carried with it an overwhelming pressure.

The Glutton Leviathan was close to that of a beast diety.

This pressure made it hard for anyone to breathe.

Qin Feng could feel his veins pulse beneath his forehead while Yu Yangtao began to shake violently as his face turned pale, reeling and on the verge of collapse.

“Hold steady!”

Qin Feng reached out to grab Yu Yangtao with one hand and the other plunged the Verdant Emperor Saber into the Glutton’s fleshy walls.

“Ah!” Yu Yangtao let out a scream. Although he had grown to accept his fate earlier, suddenly he was too afraid to die.

In his panic, he saw Qin Feng’s face and suddenly a thought floated into his mind.

“I don’t want to die. If I follow this person then I will survive! I won’t die. I need to hang on, hang on!”

A B-tier through and through, pinning his hopes on some C-tier that they had just met for the first time. Nobody would have believed it if they heard such a thing.
