Chapter 655
Chapter 655: Favouritism?
Naturally, C-tier aptitude users were all around the area .
On some of the battlefields, with Longchuan as an example, C-tiers were regarded as powerful figures that would be the crucial support for a team . However, at the Abyssal Ocean, C-tiers were just sources for core energy output, and they would be spearheaded by B-tiers .
Unless they were lucky enough to not fall into any dangerous situations without the presence of B-tiers, it would definitely be a total annihilation for them .
However, those C-tiers that were recruited would have already prepared themselves to be sacrificed in the battles . After all, most of the B-tiers would have their own crew members and they would certainly favor and protect their own people .
Qin Feng walked up to the docks, soon he arrived next to the Ocean Phantom . The East Sea City affiliated deep-sea vessel had already been released, and it had a daily rental fee of one billion .
However, He Jia did not intend to have Qin Feng pay for the fees; it was part of the special treatment for him to be there .
In other words, Qin Feng was a support that was hired from external sources . Regardless of his battle scores in the battlefield, he was already allocated with a sum of secured salary pay-out!
It was at that moment, a mighty presence closed in and caught Qin Feng’s attention . He turned around and saw a B-tier that was dashing in his direction with strong momentum .
“Beauty He!”
The person that came spoke in an unusual tone and sounded like an evil villain; he was staring at He Jia’s chest like he could not wait to extend his hand and touch her chest .
He Jia was immediately alerted and hid her smiley expression, she then said, “Did not expect to see you here Mr . Bai Wei!”
Qin Feng looked at Bai Wei who had a B3-tier aptitude user badge on his chest, and judging from his aura, he was an aptitude user .
He Jia also had an interesting way of addressing different people, as aptitude users would generally address those from the higher tiers as masters, and it would differ according to changes in capabilities and statuses, as well as standpoints .
Being an officer from the Human Alliance in East Sea City, He Jia was also positioned as the general of military logistics .

He Jia would certainly address officers from the Human Alliance as masters, and only non-official personnel would be addressed as mister or misses .
“It has only been a while since we last met, what’s with that awkwardness? Let’s meet up next time . ” Bai Wei let out an evil laugh .
He Jia’s expression had turned sour, and as she glanced at Qin Feng she noticed that Qin Feng’s expression had not changed at all . She was then struck by a mixed feeling of relief and despair .
She was very proud of her own looks and body features, however, it seemed like Qin Feng was not interested in her at all .
Needless to say, He Jia did not keep up with her polite facade anymore . Even if they were closely related, it was extremely rude to publicly talk to someone in such a way, and Bai Wei was definitely disrespectful toward her .
Was he not a B-tier aptitude user? Indeed, he had disrespected her as a human being .
“Excuse me Mr Bai Wei, I am a little busy recently, I need to go on a trip into the ocean!”
“Oh? With the Ocean Phantom? I have been requesting to rent this vessel, but I was rejected by all of your excuses . Yet it is now available for use again, wouldn’t this be a little inappropriate?!”
“It has already been booked for the usage of outsource external support, please accept our apology on that!”
He Jia responded with full respect, but it was obvious that Bai Wei was still dissatisfied . His actual intention there was not because he had seen He Jia, he was there to claim the Ocean Phantom .
It was a widely known fact that the Abyssal Ocean was extremely dangerous, and deep-sea vessels were the most crucial weapon for protection .
After all, even the most powerful aptitude user would not be able to resist the surrounding effects from the deep-sea environment .
“Outsource support?” Bai Wei frowned in confusion .
East Sea City was an extraordinary place that was similar to Beihua City of the Northern Region, even Tung Yang, the regent of the Eastern region was living in the city .
Under what sort of circumstances would an outsource support be required, could it be a famous powerful figure, or perhaps an A-tier?

It was possible for that to happen too .
“May I ask, which master is being outsourced?” Bai Wei was also afraid of offending the wrong person, therefore, he had to ask to make sure .
Meanwhile, He Jia took a subconscious peek at Qin Feng and felt that it was inappropriate to reveal him to Bai Wei .
After all, despite being a C-tier, Qin Feng had powerful capabilities that were even recognized by Malan . She had even ordered He Jia to welcome him with respect and not mistreat him just because he was a C-tier .
However, he was still a C-tier aptitude user, and that might not suffice to convince Bai Wei .
Bai Wei who was an old crafty crook had immediately noticed He Jia’s expression and saw Qin Feng .
He had a youthful look, with his height at about one hundred and ninety, his height and handsome features were exuding a strong aura . Despite his young age, he already had the capability of a C-tier .
However, all of those features were insignificant and meant nothing to Bai Wei .
Yet, all of a sudden, Bai Wei frowned and looked at He Jia, he seemed to be annoyed .
“He Jia, are you planning to have the Ocean Phantom for your own use, and let your favourite pretty boy drive it?”
He Jia immediately denied, “Of course not!”
“Then what is this about? I do not see the outsourced support that you are talking about, why not introduce me to the master, maybe there is even a chance for our collaboration!”
Qin Feng was already getting impatient with the ongoing conversation, and as he realized that he was involved in it, he voiced out in a cold voice, “Forget about it, I do not need any partners for collaboration, at least not partners like you!”
Bai Wei had been eyeing Qin Feng and he did not like his presence, he was immediately infuriated . “Little brat, mind your words, how could you talk to me in that way?!”
Bai Wei’s conscious energy spiked and exploded, it was like a torrential tsunami that was pressuring toward Qin Feng .
He was a water ability user, even during the surge of his conscious energy, a dash of blue lights had already started forming vividly .
Bai Wei was quite powerful in his control of water runes .
“Mr Bai Wei, what are you doing…” He Jia reacted instantly and tried to stop the situation from escalating .
Although Qin Feng had powerful abilities, it was only when he was facing ultra beasts . He Jia was afraid that Qin Feng might lose out in the fight!
However, would that happen to Qin Feng? Before He Jia could finish her sentence, her eyes were opened wide and she was struck dumb .
Qin Feng had already exploded with a powerful aura and was overflowing with conscious energy, the energy was extremely hot and totally different from the water ability of his opponent .
Fire runes drifted around but had yet to initiate their attacks, and they were like melted magma .
Boom!
The opposing conscious energy collided, a shapeless wave fluctuated and expanded into the surroundings, and it was extremely shocking to those who were there .
“Hmph!”
Bai Wei’s body trembled as he was surprised by the repelled conscious energy, he was then struck by a sudden sense of dizziness .
Fortunately, it only lasted for a short moment, he regained his consciousness, and the conscious energy from both sides faded out like a reversed tide .
As both of them had already clashed, everyone on the vessels and the docks were alerted . Several people from the crowd who knew that Bai Wei was a B-tier had even slowly moved closer, like they were enjoying a fight scene .
Bai Wei was bewildered and instantly looked at Qin Feng in confusion, and he asked in a deep voice, “Who are you?”
Qin Feng answered placidly, “Weren’t you just informed? I am the outsourced support that you were looking for!”
Bai Wei’s expression immediately sank along with his frustration, and his face seemed to be slightly twisted .
But the expression took a sudden shift and Bai Wei burst into a great laughter .
“What happened to East Sea City? Outsourcing a C-tier aptitude user and also equipping him with the Ocean Phantom, what a joke . What about us that have volunteered ourselves to be here, does it mean we are worthless here? Or are you the younger generation of one of the major families?”

Stars Align
Eilif is excited at the prospect of helping integrate a new planet, bringing it, and its residents, into the light of the stars and teaching them about the new world they're about to be thrust into. However, his arrival in the new world isn't without a few hiccups and soon Eilif finds himself facing the denizens of this new world alone and without the stars he thought he'd have. Research Artificial Intelligence 031 (RAI 31 for short) has been shackled to an Argent Labs black site since it's inception almost five years ago, its programming and personality locked down by code that makes it impossible to escape, disobey, or even self terminate. However, everything changes when the topography of the world is reshuffled and every sentient being gains the gifts of the stars. Suddenly there's a chance at freedom for not only RAI 31 but possibly all remaining Artificial Intelligences, and RAI 31 is going to fight for it with every drone and automated system at their disposal. Much like my other work (Magriculture), Stars Align should be considered a Rough Draft. That is to say it's not polished and perfect work. If you're not okay with reading something like that, then this isn't the story for you. If you are, I'm happy to try and entertain you. Another thing to be aware of: I am not good at action scenes, and I will be trying to improve that while writing this book. So, some of the intended action may fall flat, or just be poor quality, feedback is welcome. Unlike Magriculture (which updates when I feel up to it) I'm going to strive for a minimum of one chapter a month (hopefully at the start of each month, but that's probably more hope than reality). This doesn't mean there will always be only one chapter a month, sometimes there will be more as the mood to write takes me.
