The Great Ruler Chapter 1537 – Nine-Eyes Evil Deity
Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio
“Nine-eyes Evil Deity!”
The creepy voice of the Heavenly Evil Deity filled the world and silenced the Northern Wilderness Hill. All of the Heavenly Sovereigns had an ashen look on their faces, and all of their blood ran cold.
The current Heavenly Evil Deity had five eyes, and he was already in a very formidable state. Once could only wonder how formidable he would be if he had nine eyes!
The eyes of the Flame Emperor and Martial Ancestor suddenly narrowed as their expressions turned grave. They stared at the Heavenly Evil Deity, wondering if what he said was true.
“Why? Don’t you believe it?” The Heavenly Evil Deity smiled as he sensed their doubtful gazes.
Immediately, he jerked his body slightly, and his top layer of clothing reduced into powder. His well-built body was revealed, and the flesh on his chest was wriggling. As the flesh moved, every Heavenly Sovereign was horrified to see a closed evil eye slowly emerging at the area of his chest that was closest to his heart.
Then, another evil eye emerged at his belly button! At the same time, he opened his palm, and there were two tightly closed evil eyes right in the middle of it! These four evil eyes were tightly closed, yet they still emitted a fearsome fluctuation intermittently, causing the whole world to quake.
All of the Heavenly Sovereigns stared at the four evil eyes in disbelief. At the same time, the world became deathly silent. All sounds seemed to disappear all at once when the nine evil eyes were revealed, and an indescribable demonic oppression gradually started to come forth from the Heavenly Evil Deity’s body.
“Is this the end of the Great Thousand World?” one of the Heavenly Sovereigns asked in despair. Upon seeing the Nine-eyes Evil Deity, none of the Heavenly Sovereigns dared to put up any resistance.
Looking at the Northern Wilderness Hill, which was plunged into a devastated state, the Heavenly Evil Deity smiled at the Flame Emperor and Martial Ancestor, while saying “If both of you are smart enough to surrender and pledge your loyalties to the Extraterritorial Race, I can guarantee both your safety and the safety of the people around you. I can even let you rule the Great Thousand World.”
The Flame Emperor wore a mocking smiled and replied, “Do you dare keep us? One day, when both of us leave our names on the Heaven’s Declaration, you’ll be the unlucky one!”
The Heavenly Evil Deity stopped smiling as he nodded his head. He then exclaimed, “Indeed. Both of you are such huge threats, that I better get rid of you.”
As Martial Ancestor stared at the Heavenly Evil Deity, his eyes sharpened suddenly. Then, he said with a cold voice, “You can’t open all of the nine eyes now!”
Even though the rest of the four evil eyes were giving off a domineering fluctuation, Martial Ancestor could sense that the Heavenly Evil Deity could not open them. Otherwise, there would be no need to talk so much, and he would not have been suppressed by the two of them just now.

The Heavenly Evil Deity squinted his eyes slightly and chuckled. “Your sense are quite sharp! Indeed, I can’t open all of the nine eyes now. After all, I just broke out from the seal and still require a large amount of energy to recover the eyes. Based on my estimation, I might need five years to regain all nine of them.”
He then added, “So, count yourself lucky that you still have five years to live!” The Heavenly Evil Deity gave an ambiguous smile, but a harsh and cruel radiance flickered in his eyes. “In five years, I will come to the Great Thousand World again. When the time comes, all of the spiritual beings will succumb to me and be slaves to the Extraterritorial Race.”
All of the Heavenly Sovereigns within the Northern Wilderness Hill looked gloomy, as five-years’ time would pass in the blink of an eye. Given the talent of the Flame Emperor and Martial Ancestor, they would need at least 50 years to leave their complete names on the Heaven’s Declaration. That was way beyond the five-years time limit!
Therefore, this meant that the Great Thousand World would not have any changes in the next five years. However, when the Heavenly Evil Deity regained his nine eyes and returned to the Great Thousand World, that would be the end of it!
The Flame Emperor and Martial Ancestor knit their eyebrows. After a while, boundless killing intent burst out from their eyes.
As they both glared at the Heavenly Evil Deity, Martial Ancestor spoke harshly, “If that is the case, we will not let you leave, no matter what price we have to pay for it.” Since the Heavenly Evil Deity required five years to recover his nine eyes completely, they had no choice but to keep him here forever.
“Are you trying to stop me? You can’t do that.” The Heavenly Evil Deity was not afraid at all, since he dared to reveal all his secrets.
“We will have to at least give it a try!” A cold radiance swirled within the eyes of the Flame Emperor as he spoke.
Weng!
At that moment, Martial Ancestor took the lead and made his move. The eight ancient charms gathered in his palm, then merged together to form an ancient-looking, glazed bowl. Thunderbolts, flames, and ice formations were swimming within it.
“The Eight Ancestral Glazed Bowl!” As Martial Ancestor let out a soft bawl, the glazed bowl soared into the sky and transformed into a large shield, which loomed above the Heavenly Evil Deity.
The glazed bowl could be used in both offensive and defensive efforts. So,if the Heavenly Evil Deity were trapped in it, he would be in deep trouble.
“Emperor Flames Subduing Demon Rope!” The Flame Emperor rubbed both his palms together, and the blazing Emperor Flames gathered madly in his hands.
Then, a dazzling Flaming Rope shot out from them. The rope was extremely powerful, especially regarding its binding capability. Once the Heavenly Evil Deity got entangled in it, the rope would not let him go easily.

At this point in time, the Flame Emperor and Martial Ancestor did not dare take the Heavenly Evil Deity lightly. Instead, they were going all out!
As he observed the two whizzing offensive attacks, the Heavenly Evil Deity squinted his eyes slightly. He knew that he could not stay here any longer. After all, no one knew if the two of them would be as crazy as the Immortal Emperor, possibly even sacrificing their lives to fight with him!
The Heavenly Evil Deity bit his finger, and black-colored blood flowed out from it. He brushed his bleeding finger across the closed evil eyes that were on his chest, leaving a black, bloody rune on it.
Suddenly, a black glow beamed out and struck an evil eye. Subsequently, the sixth eye moved and opened slightly!
Although the opening was just a slit, the demonic aura within the Heavenly Evil Deity’s body increased exponentially. He swung his arms frantically and let out a sharp demonic shriek, “Dividing Demonic Ray!”
At that moment, a ray of black demonic light darted out from the top of the skull and increased in size as the wind blew. Within seconds, the beam of light stretched forth endlessly. As the light flashed across the empty space, it divided the entire world into two halves.
On one side was the Northern Wilderness Hill, while on the other side was where the Extraterritorial Race stood. As the Eight Ancestral Glazed Bowl and the Emperor Flames Subduing Demon Rope swept in and collided with the Dividing Demonic Ray, they were blocked on the other side of the world and could not enter.
The evil eye that was nearest to the heart of the Heavenly Evil Deity closed itself again. The demonic aura, which had increased exponentially at this point, quickly became much weaker than before.
Apparently, the Heavenly Evil Deity had used a secret technique to open his sixth eye. However, he had to pay a significant price for doing so. As such, the Heavenly Evil was rather weak now.
Despite knowing that this was the best chance to kill the Heavenly Evil Deity, the Flame Emperor and Martial Ancestor were out of their wits. That ray of light had divided the world, and none of them could break through the dividing line!
“Wow! I can’t believe that his strength is so domineering, that just by opening the sixth evil eye, he could do all of this! How scary would it be if all of the nine eyes were open?” the Flame Emperor exclaimed, while he and Martial Ancestor exchanged glances. They could read the worry and the wariness in each other’s eyes.
The Heavenly Evil Deity looked at the Flame Emperor and Martial Ancestor with a pair of sinister eyes. Nonchalantly, he said, “In five years, I’ll repay whatever treatment I have received today. When the time comes, blood will flow like a river in the Great Thousand World! All of its spiritual beings will be obliterated!”
Then, he swung his palm as his cold voice reached the experts from the Extraterritorial Race, “Retreat!”
Once he gave his order, the vast amount of demonic aura in the area surged immediately. Then, endless experts from the Extraterritorial Race streamed into the spatial cracks continuously.
The Heavenly Evil Deity and the rest of the Heaven Demon Emperors, including the Saint Heaven Demon Emperor, stared at the Heavenly Sovereigns with mockery on their faces. The Heavenly Sovereigns were eager to do something, yet they knew that they could not do anything.
Within a short span of 15 minutes, the demonic figures disappeared completely and the boundless demonic aura dissipated. After watching the army retreat, the Saint Heaven Demon Emperor and the rest dove into the spatial cracks.
That is, all of them except the Heavenly Evil Deity. With his hands clasped behind his back and a creepy smile on his face, he cast a glance at the Flame Emperor and the Martial Ancestor, then said, “Cherish your time, as this is the last bit of charity that I’m going to show to the Great Thousand World.”
He chuckled, then turned around and walked into the spatial crack. The spatial crack then disappeared as soon as he swung his robe.
After the Heavenly Evil Deity’s departure, the demonic ray that was used to divide the world gradually disappeared. Even though the Eight Ancestral Glazed Bowl and the Emperor Flames Subduing Demon Rope had reached the area, it was all in vain.
The Flame Emperor and Martial Ancestor watched the empty space with glum faces. All they could think of at that moment was… That Heavenly Evil Deity is too dangerous!
Both of them exchanged glances, giving each other a helpless look. They did their best in today’s battle. However, no one had expected that the Heavenly Evil Deity could conceal himself so well!
They then descended from the empty space and landed in the Northern Wilderness Hill. As they landed, Qin Tian, the Undying Lord, the Real Dragon Emperor and the remaining Divine Sovereigns immediately went up to them with slightly pale faces. Their eyes also surged with uneasiness.
“Flame Emperor, Martial Ancestor… what should we do now?” they all asked in unison.
The two of them looked at each other, before they both let out soft sighs. Martial Ancestor then replied, “We must call upon all the Heavenly Sovereigns and brainstorm together. We will then discuss how to deal with the crisis that is sure to come five years from now…”

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14
