Monster Pet Evolution Chapter 850 – Counter Kill
Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio
“When did you get used to it?” Gao Peng asked Goldie.
“I don’t remember. I’ve been fighting for so many years, through fire, electricity, and acid. I’ll let you in on a secret: though this fire is powerful, it’s not the most painful.
“And it’s not just me who thinks so. It’s the same for Fatty Big Sea, Desolion, the Dragon Ant, and the rest. Well, excluding Silly. That fool doesn’t count. Even if it was a mere scratch, Silly would cry for a long time.” Goldie noticed the change in Gao Peng’s mood and immediately giggled. “Ah, Gao Peng, it doesn’t hurt. We were all trained the hard way to reach God level.”
“I’m sorry… I—” Gao Peng wanted to speak but stopped. He thought if he continued it would become very emotional, but if he would feel quite oppressed if he didn’t share his thoughts.
“Gao Peng, if you feel sorry, you can join us in our fights after this one.” Fatty Big Sea laughed. “Then we’ll share our joy and pain.”
“Okay… Humph.” Gao Peng took another deep breath.
“I have to hammer that phoenix in a moment,” Gao Peng said, gnashing his teeth.
“Son, you’ve inherited our strongest power. If you don’t blow that guy up, it won’t be acceptable.” Fatty Big Sea began to sway.
“If I break through to the King God level, I’ll be able to tear down that sparrow with one hand,” Fatty Big Sea said arrogantly.
It was the cycle of life. They had to cause all the calamities they could!
From the side, the World Destruction Green Sheep and Lightning Arc Emperor Deer jointly put forth a horrible attack.
The blue and green lightning rings were interwoven in the sky, with the green encompassing the power of violent destruction and the blue containing a healing nature.
The two directly opposite forces were converging, and the continuous cycle of destruction and rebirth formed extremely powerful suction.
In the blink of an eye, the reincarnation lightning ring landed, bam after bam ringing out—

Olu was engulfed in a sea of lightning flashes.
“You’re too slow.” Unknowingly, Olu had suddenly appeared on the back of the Rebel Blood Phoenix. It looked at Gao Peng, who was wrapped in the flames.
It pressed its two palms together, which were like two scalpels that cut precisely into the back of the Rebel Blood Phoenix’s neck.
Olu then pulled its hands apart, and a blue and silver aura shone forth.
“Battle of Stars and Gods.”
The magical light exploded.
The Rebel Blood Phoenix’s head was cut off!
The phoenix flames that had been burning slowly disappeared.
Gao Peng raised his head in a daze and looked at Olu with a confused look.
“No need for thanks. We’re friends.” Olu nodded like a little general.
Then continued to dash forward to fight with the World Destruction Green Sheep.
“But you robbed me of my fight,” Gao Peng thought pitifully.
He was sad and felt that he had just suffered in vain.
The body of the black phoenix on the ground was burning in the sky, but the ringing sound of the phoenix reappearing from the fire could be heard.
To Gao Peng’s surprise, the bloodied Rebel Blood Phoenix had been revived.
“You’re back from the dead?” Gao Peng said warmly.
Sensing Gao Peng’s unpretentious joy, it was a little confused.
Had it burnt all his reason away?
“It should be almost enough now.” Gao Peng weighed his fist.
The Rebel Blood Phoenix wasn’t very good at close combat. This was determined by its innate race genetics. How many birds could be seen that were good at close combat?
Gao Peng rushed towards the Rebel Blood Phoenix and swung his fist hard.
The Rebel Blood Phoenix gathered its dragon-fire fist before it and twined it around Gao Peng.
Through the fire, the fist that was burning with fire landed on the Rebel Blood Phoenix’s face.
“Wasn’t it great, burning me just now?” The sound of Gao Peng’s gnashing teeth could be heard by the Rebel Blood Phoenix.
With a thump, the strong fist smashed mercilessly against the Rebel Blood Phoenix’s face.

One, two, three.
The fist was like a machine.
The bird was stunned with every blow.
The Rebel Blood Phoenix gave a pitiful shriek.
Goldie, still burning in the fire, was like a god of war. Even with the fire burning its body, it was indifferent.
“I’ll leave it to you,” Gao Peng said to Goldie quietly through their Blood Contract.
The main reason for this was that the inferno was too painful… He couldn’t make moves at all.
Goldie took over control of the body and continued the actions that Gao Peng had been on the verge of making. At that point, the Rebel Blood Phoenix was locked down on the ground by Goldie and couldn’t move. Goldie was very experienced in pressing down birds.
Every punch landed firmly on flesh, the dull sound of solid punches reverberating throughout the air.
At first, the Rebel Blood Phoenix could still struggle, but it eventually gave up all resistance.
Its head was becoming flatter, a pool of blood slowly seeping out.
It looked like a deformed basketball.
Goldie made it more concave with every blow.
The World Destruction Green Sheep took a moment to check on the battle’s situation and was stunned to find the Rebel Blood Phoenix being overwhelmed.
What happened? A King God couldn’t even beat a High God. What a ridiculous situation!
The distracted World Destruction Green Sheep was hit on the head by Olu, its horns almost whacked askew.
On the other side, upon realizing that its end was near, the Rebel Blood Phoenix sent out a final curse—Eternal Phoenix flames!
“You will burn in my flame all your life, and I will make you suffer for all eternity,” the Rebel Blood Phoenix said bitterly.
Once again, it took another blow to its head, and the Rebel Blood Phoenix was finally put to rest with no resurrection.
Its resurrection ability had a recuperation time, and it couldn’t be resurrected repeatedly within a short time.
After seeing this scene, Gao Peng gave a long sigh. “Goldie, your passive ability is really easy to use.”
“It’s all right,” Goldie said anxiously. “The problem is this fire around my body… How can I explain it to Flamy?”
“It’s okay. From the sound of the Rebel Blood Phoenix, that was a male bird.”
“Really?”
“Really,” replied Gao Peng.
“That’s good.” Goldie breathed a sigh of relief.
“What if Flamy gets even angrier?” said Fatty Big Sea.
“…”
“It’s okay. I’ll explain it to her for you. Let’s help Olu get rid of those two guys first,” said Gao Peng.
“No problem, Gao Peng. I’ll show you my prowess.” Goldie was confident.
The World Destruction Sheep and Lightning Arc Emperor Deer turned and gave each other a look, saying nothing before they turned to run away.
Vengence could wait.
“We’ll each go one after another.” Olu went after the stronger World Destruction Green Sheep, leaving the Lightning Arc Emperor Deer to Gao Peng.
“This guy ran so fast that we aren’t able to catch up with it.” Gao Peng had a headache. None of the familiars in this body had speed.
The only good news was that while the Lightning Arc Emperor Deer was fast, it wasn’t as fast as Gao Peng had imagined it to be.
“Just go back. Don’t try to catch up with me. You can’t catch up with me,” said the Lightning Arc Emperor Deer.
“Sh*t, this guy…” Gao Peng couldn’t help but want to watch the Lightning Arc Emperor Deer’s expression when it was defeated.
It was just asking to be beaten.
“Quickly head back. Maybe we can fight next time,” the Lightning Arc Emperor Deer exclaimed loudly.
“Haha,” Gao Peng retorted with a sneer.
One boom later, the deer suddenly fell to the ground.
Olu had suddenly appeared before the Lightning Arc Emperor Deer.
“Didn’t you go after that green sheep?” The Lightning Arc Emperor Deer had the life drained out of it.
“You mean this.” Putting its left hand into space, Olu took a bloody sheep head and threw it on the ground.

The Dungeon Hive
One thing I noticed about most dungeon stories is that most races mistakenly believe that dungeons have a hive-mind and I go, “That make sense.” Considering the various powers and how big dungeons can get, wouldn’t it make more sense for them to have a hive-mind? So this is it; my take of the world’s first dungeon and the hive that controls it. Watch as it stumbles, fall, survive, strive and…procreate? Watch as it changed the world of Ioplon…for better and for worse. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For edited version of the story, the full trilogy (Book_1: Fantasy Begins, Book_2: Dungeon Flames, Book_3: Spread of the Dungeons) are now available on Amazon. Please take a look, and leave a rating. Thanks

Virtuous Cultivation
-July 10, 2022- Stocked Chapters: 8 I'm out of hiatus, but honestly, I can't trust myself to post consistently anymore... A new arc is about to begin, and I'll start posting again once the entirety is done. It might take a year, but honestly, this story is going to go on for the foreseen future anyway... so I suppose that's just a blip in the grand scheme of things? I'll leave updates here every once in a while, if for some reason you're still actively checking on this incredibly slow story T-T The path of cultivation is often portrayed as one stained by bloodshed. But is that truly necessary? Heaven is merciful, after all. On a rather ordinary day, a peasant girl was whisked away by a strange old man. In a hall of great white jade, she was offered the chance to cultivate. ...too bad she's as lazy as a sloth. Slice of life Xianxia with fairly little action in early chapters, more focused on comedy. The Beta Test
Our nameless narrator participates in a beta test for an early VRMMO game Meridian 60. That's not the real name but it captures the spirit of the adventure given the chronological and contextual era of the game. His character is unique and special but purely for mundane reasons and not because of any inherent or social significance. The first chapter which is mandatory to submit a story on RR serves as a bit of a prologue with some exposition, although I limited that to a reasonble level. I plan to begin releasing additional chapters starting Thursday, to align with the 48 hour submission approval process and also because I have something to do Wednesday. I haven't written anything but the summary and first chapter, nor have I plotted anything out. This is because my plan is to release roughly 34000 words a day, 10 chapters of ~12.5 pages each, for 3 days at which point the story will be complete. I'd have liked to plan for more but handling the interface tables and so forth needed for a data heavy litrpg slows down the writing process. 100k words is a bit short, a standard pre epic fantasy 300 page spec fic novel, but this is mostly a writing exercise and I am considering a longer project if I can maintain the pace. Probably do a different concept, maybe a dungeon core, over 5 days, since a 500 page novel is more common these days. Slight subversion of VRMMO stories Stat heavy/crunchy No paying your bills by gaming No out of game conspiracies No angst, interpersonal drama, or damsels/dudes in distress Schedule is 30000 words a day excepting the first chapter, a limitation of RRs fiction submission system Fantasy, high magic, male lead, no party, guild, or harem No gore, some profanity, no sexual content, and no current plans for anything traumatic
