Monster Pet Evolution Chapter 829 – Clean Sweep
“Gao Peng, I need you to explain, why did you say I got uglier? Don’t you think all these colors look very cool on my body?” Desolion walked around Gao Peng in circles.
“But you’ve really gotten ugly,” Gao Peng said helplessly.
Passing through the Spatial Tunnel, Gao Peng rode on Desolion all the way south, passing through thousands of mountains to head to Stormy Country.
—
Wind City, the capital of Stormy Country.
Wind City has tens of millions of inhabitants, with an area of thousands of square kilometers. Endless buildings went on in the distance.
In the penthouse of a luxury hotel in Wind City, representatives from several noble families in the city were holding a conference.
“Is it really okay?”
“Lord Yu, you have no nerve. Could he kill all of us? We didn’t kill those people. It was the rebels.”
“Human Clan still needs us to help them control the Ling Clan people below, how can he control them without us? With their fists? Hahaha,” someone sneered.
“Exactly, Lord Zhen is right. Let’s have a toast.”
Wine glasses clanged.
Thump-thump.
A knocking came at the door.
“Come in.”
“Lord, bad news, the new colony governor from the Human Clan is in office. He says he wants to see you at the Eastern Gate in ten minutes. And he said if he doesn’t see you then, there’s no need for these families in Wind City to continue existing.” The messenger was panting and frantic.
“How dare he?!” Three out of the four lords besides Lord Yu were infuriated.
“Who does he think he is?!”
“How unbridled, how arrogant!”
These Lords got up as they complained.
“Let’s use my Eight-Armed Divine Eagle. My Eight-Armed Divine Eagle is the fastest. You lead the way,” Lord Yu spoke to ease the situation.

The other three Lords all jumped on the Eight-Armed Divine Eagle’s back and headed to the Eastern Gate.
Eight-Armed Divine Eagle’s body was black. It had eight claws under its belly. It was nearly thirty meters long, with a red crown on its head. In only a dozen seconds, it arrived above Eastern Gate.
So young.
That was their first thought when they saw Gao Peng’s appearance.
Although it’s possible to maintain one’s youthful appearance with some rare materials, the youthful aura in one’s soul cannot be imitated.
The Lords looked at each other. Human Clan sent such a young person this time. Young people tend to be aggressive. What is the Human Clan scheming?
Before the fall of the Stormy Country King, the noble families in Wind City had conflicts. But after Stormy Country became a colony, these conflicts between the four noble families died down. They even seem to have formed an alliance.
These Lords were all concerned about these major matters between races. They were afraid to get too cozy with the Human Clan. Otherwise, they would be called traitors.
“One, two, three, four,” Gao Peng’s eyes swept over each of the four Lords. “Aren’t you all alive?”
The Lords all looked rather green.
“None of you stepped out after that commotion from before, I thought you were all dead,” Gao Peng said regretfully.
“What is your honorable governor saying? I happened to be out of the city that day. One of my nieces was having her 300th birthday, and I went to celebrate,” Lord Yu stepped out and said in a quiet voice.
The other three Lords were ashamed of Lord Yu’s actions.
So they all turned around and said to Gao Peng, “Honorable governor, I went to Fire Cloud Canyon that day to collect Fire Cloud Rocks, so I wasn’t in the city either. If I were in the city, I would definitely have stopped the rebels!”

“Honorable governor, that day I…”
Gao Peng raised a hand to interrupt, “Alright, that’s enough. I know you all happened to be out that day.”
These four Lords have all grown a thick skin over these years. They nodded and admitted without getting even blushing.
“But I don’t want you to all happen to be gone next time,” Gao Peng said in a low voice.
The four Lords agreed but were secretly scoffing. Young people are so easy to fool.
“I’ll give you two days. I want to know all the hideouts of the rebel army. Otherwise, I’ll treat it as you covering up for them and execute you the same way.” Gao Peng said before he turned and left.
He left these Lords to stare at each other.
One Lord said in a low voice, “Should we tell him?”
“Let’s tell him, we don’t have to do anything,” Lord Yu said with concern. For some reason, he had an uneasy feeling when he saw this new governor.
“Those rebels have nothing to do with us. They’ve been getting more and more arrogant lately. It’s about time we put them in order.” Lord Zhen seemed to remember something and looked unwell.
…
“It’s this city?” Gao Peng stood with his hands behind his back, looking at the little city ahead.
“Yes, your honor, the leader of the rebels is in this city.” Lord Zhen followed Gao Peng, a hint of bitterness in his eyes. He planned to run after telling Gao Peng the rebel hideout, but was halted by Gao Peng and brought to this city where the rebels are located.
From what he knows, there are at least three Quasi-God Monster Trainers in the rebellion. How can the two of them be their match?
If it really comes to it…Lord Zhen’s eyes had a hint of murder.
“Just stay inside,” Gao Peng said in a low voice, followed by a snap.
Under Lord Zhen’s appalled gaze, a vortex appeared out of thin air above the city. A terrifying mountain descended from the sky.
Boom!!!
The solid city wall was flattened like paper.
Dust flew up and was immediately absorbed by the mountain. Lava ran on the surface of the mountain, covering the mountain peak’s surface like veins.
Stripey opened its eyes in a daze, “Gao Peng, I think I sat on three mosquitoes.”
“That’s okay,” Gao Peng comforted Stripey.
Abundant Divine Power spilled out of Stripey’s body to condense into a super-colossal red whirlpool in the sky.
Gao Peng snapped again, and Stripey was returned to the Familiar Space.
The city before them was reduced to shambles. The ground caved a few meters downwards, and many parts showed signs of crystallization. In the sky were the remains of the red energy whirlpool.
“Let’s go back,” said Gao Peng.
“You…you…” Lord Zhen was quivering all over, pointing at Gao Peng in horror.
Gao Peng smiled and put a hand on Lord Zhen’s shoulder, “Alright, didn’t you see? Under Lord Zhen’s lead, the great new governor successfully killed the rebels. I’ll give you a promotion when we return.”
Lord Zhen was in disbelief. He knew he wouldn’t be able to take off the “traitor” hat in this lifetime.
And he could never have imagined that the new governor is a God Tier Monster Trainer.
Thinking back about their schemes and wits, now did he realize how foolish they were. In front of absolute power, all schemes are pale in comparison. Even more ludicrous was the fact that they wanted to take advantage of a God Tier Monster Trainer.
