Monster Pet Evolution Chapter 788 – A New Attribute
Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio
The Inferno Mountain Sea on the surface of the Mysterious Fire World was a place ablaze with flames.
The scorching flames burned fiercely. It was as if the entire world was set on fire.
The fervent flames soared into the sky.
An unending flow of heatwave after heatwave raged endlessly.
The moment he stepped onto this plane, Gao Peng felt a heatwave hit his face.
Although the harm which the high temperatures caused to him had been transferred to Flamy’s body, the extremely high temperatures still made the clothes on Gao Peng’s body turn damp.
The sweat which his body emitted drenched his clothes within a few seconds
“It’s too hot,” Gao Peng said.
“Master, take care not to get too hot,” Desolion hastily said, trying his best to control the ice elements in the air.
But he subsequently realized that there were too few ice elements in the air. In his field of perception, fire elements were the majority, followed by light elements. As for ice elements and water elements, there was a pitifully small amount of them.
In such a situation, he could not even display three-tenths of his combat power.
Desolion could only release the ice elements stored in its body. Gao Peng only felt much more comfortable when the ice elements lingered around him.
Desolion did not control much ice mist. It was just enough to set off the heatwaves in the air. It was the temperature at which Gao Peng was the most comfortable.
“How thoughtful of you,” Gao Peng felt very comforted and praised Desolion.
Desolion frantically nodded his head. “Being of service to Master is what makes me the happiest.”
“Eh~ you’re exaggerating, exaggerating. You’re supposed to live for yourself, not for me. Do you understand?”
“Understood! Master’s words are truly profound.” Desolion engaged in another round of flattery, raising Gao Peng’s spirits.
Flamy noticed this and muttered secretly to herself, one was a boot-licker, and one was shameless.
…
In the chaotic vanity space, a bright-silver phoenix traveled back and forth in the vanity space. A slightly smaller silver phoenix of the same species was similarly flying below it.
The body of the phoenix was transparent. There were numerous little silver particles on its open wings.

It did not have bones but only countless small silver dots of light scattered across various parts of its body. A dull silver thread connected the various parts of its body.
“Is your friend on the plane just in front of us?”
“Yes, mother dearest, my friend is just on the plane in front of us.” A sweet-sounding female voice came out from the mouth of the little phoenix and said, “That friend of mine is extremely talented. I think we can take him into our constellation.”
“My daughter, you know our rules. We can’t just do things based only on our preferences.” The big phoenix continued gently, “Furthermore, the current situation in the constellation is not that stable either. You know that.”
The little phoenix lowered her head sadly. But it was obvious from her incessantly moving eyes that she had no thoughts of letting things be.
“The Surface Sea is right in front. Follow me closely and don’t run off recklessly,” the large phoenix said.
Amidst the vast vanity space, there was a soft white light in front of them.
Bubbles of various different colors floated and sank inside the vanity space.
There were large and small bubbles, and they were also of different colors. Among them, several bubbles had surfaces that were heavily damaged and were the dullest in color.
Countless “parasites” were wandering about outside these damaged bubbles.
There was no end in sight to this group of bubbles. The surfaces of these bubbles emitted a dense, strange light. They gathered together to form a sea.
The silver-white phoenix moved at a very fast speed. The distance between it and the Surface Sea rapidly shrank, and the little bubbles in front of it were gradually magnified as well.
The parasites that occupied the surfaces of the damaged bubbles also turned into huge monsters of massive sizes in the vanity space.
Cruel and greedy gazes swept over the phoenix.
The eyes of the phoenix were ice-cold. Through the aura that it emitted, the monsters in the vanity space sensed that it was not wise to provoke this chap. So, they averted their gazes and continued wandering about outside the damaged plane, playing the role of the insatiable predator.
…
“The Inferno Mountain Sea is so huge. We don’t know the precise appearance and position of that Fire-type Quasi God either. How will we find it?” Goldie asked in confusion.

“I have a way.” The old Bi Fang narrowed his eyes. He extracted a liter of blood from inside Flamy’s body.
The old Bi Fang lifted his claws and used Flamy’s blood to draw a complex formation on the floor. This formation had many layers. After drawing each layer, he had to wait ten minutes for it to dry slightly before continuing to draw.
After an hour, the old Bi Fang said, “There’s not enough blood. Give me another liter of blood.”
After two hours, the old Bi Fang continued to ask Flamy for blood.
This time, after using two-thirds of the blood, he finally finished drawing the formation.
There was a complex pattern drawn on the ground.
It was just an extremely high-grade formation with an extremely complicated pattern. From afar, it looked a little like the shape of a burning flame.
The fire elements in the vanity space slowly gathered together into a ball of fire in front of them.
The old Bi Fang let out a sigh. “It’s stable now. We can also use it on the Surface sea.”
The ball of fire in the vanity space gradually expanded to the size of a basketball.
Thereafter, the ball of fire split open in the middle, and a flame sprite sprang out from within.
The flame sprite did not have facial features. However, there was a golden ring binding its head where a person’s nose would normally be. Its reddish-orange head was round, and it looked like a ping-pong ball.
It was dressed from the neck down in white muslin. The muslin clothing was very long, and there were even white flames burning on its surface.

A little monster of Level 70. Gao Peng did not care about it after glancing at its level. But Gao Peng had never seen one of the attributes of this monster. Void-type?
Gao Peng had never heard of this type.
“I want to find out something.” The old Bi Fang lifted its wings. Each and every feather on one part of his wings had a silver storage ring around it.
The densely-packed storage rings reflected the flames and blinded Gao Peng’s eyes.
Gao Peng reached his arm out to block his eyes.
Damn it. The old Bi Fang usually seemed so wretched and frugal. He did not expect him to be a hidden wealthy man.
The old Bi Fang pecked at these storage rings for quite some time before taking out a precious scarlet stone from inside one of the storage rings.
Gao Peng, who was located closest to the old Bi Fang, heard him mumble, “I actually thought that I didn’t bring this ring out with me this time.”
The Harbinger of Fire picked up the precious stone from the ground. The precious stone melted in his hand like wax, melting into his body.
The Harbinger of Fire turned around twice in midair. He was obviously in a very good mood.
“What do you want to know?”
“The precise location of the Quasi God who is in possession of the Voucher of Fire.”
The Harbinger of Fire averted his gaze from Flamy. “I knew you were going to ask about this. Go in this direction for about 300,000 miles, and you’ll arrive at the place where he lives.”

The Stars Have Eyes
The universe was a vast, empty, dark, and uncaring place. Then life happened, and the universe was changed forever. Only a teeny-tiny bit, but definitely different. Then again, the universe changes a teeny-tiny bit every second of every day. For instance, if someone were to get off the couch and randomly drink a glass of milk? Bam! One less glass of milk in the universe. Changed forever. Well, excluding any time-travel shenanigans, but anyone who puts a big old hole in the time-space continuum just to un-drink a glass of milk should really reevaluate their priorities. Unless, of course, they were attempting to prevent some massive catastrophe vis-a-vis said glass of milk. Such a scenario is by no means impossible, as one should never underestimate the importance of calcium. Another important tip for any life forms out there is to keep things in perspective. Some look at the vastness of creation in relation to themselves and go, ‘Man, this sucks!’ These people really need to narrow their focus. Sure, they will never affect anything happening on the other end of the galaxy, but so what? That’s way the heck over there, where it doesn’t matter. Therefore, in order to maintain a healthy mindset, it is important to narrow one’s perspective to the things and people that affect them, and that they can affect in turn. But what happens if one is an unfathomable cosmic being from beyond the veil of reality? What happens when such an existence is capable of influencing entire swathes of the universe just by its presence? A creature such as Magh'rathlak the Observer? That particular entity is only about average as far as reality-warping creatures from the dawn of time go, so its influence over the fabric of reality is rather limited. And it still struggles to keep things in perspective. That, among other things, is why it decided to narrow its worldview a bit by compressing the maddening vastness of its being into a single corporeal form. Magh'rathlak had never tried such a feat, but that wasn't about to stop it. After all, how hard could being human possibly be?
