Monster Pet Evolution Chapter 732 – Scarecrow
Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio
Abyss World.
In the midst of chaos, stood a gigantic world that was a mass of crimson, black, dark purple, and deep green.
From the outside, this world was structured like a spiral staircase, leading to the heart of the chaos at the bottom.
This world was called Abyss World. Abyss World is enormous even compared to all the other worlds in the chaos.
So enormous it was rare.
Because of its size, its legend was heard in many multidimensional universes and planes.
In face, many planes had the myth that the deeper you go into the abyss, the stronger the Demon Lord. But this was not the reality.
“Of course, it’s true statistically. But just like how humans have prodigies, there are special cases among the Demon Lords too. For example, the Demon Lord of the 7th Dungeon is a well-known exception,” Zhu Yan said to Gao Peng’s crew on the hill.
“What’s the name of that Lord?”
“How strong is it?”
Goldie et al. asked impatiently.
Zhu Yan cleared its throat, “The Demon Lord of 7th Dungeon is named Death Tornado-Gloomy Crow. You can’t recite this name directly within the Abyss, or it’ll notice you. But right now we’re in Empyrean, so we can say its name.
As for how strong it is, it once fought against the Black Tortoise of Four Saints, and left without a scathe.”
“Tch.” Goldie pursed its lips. It thought it was a big deal, but all it did was retreat from a battle uninjured, that’s nothing at all.
“Cough cough, actually it’s very strong to have fought against Black Tortoise and left unscathed. Black Tortoise once killed the Demon Lord of the 55th Dungeon without much effort.”
“What’s the name of the Demon Lord of the 55th Dungeon?” Goldie asked impatiently.

“Uh….” Zhu Yan blanked. I don’t know, Bai Ze didn’t tell me about this.
How should I answer?
One, two, three seconds passed.
“Something came up at home, I’ll come again tomorrow, see you.” Zhu Yan got up and left immediately.
Goldie, Da Zi, and the other naive folks were still confused why Zhu Yan suddenly left, but Fatty Big Sea and Gao Peng guessed the reason, and smiled at each other.
By night, the monsters who were chasing after demons have basically all returned to the base to rest.
Only a few lingering demons struggled in the wild.
World Vortex Battlefield has a moon too, it’s a projection of the moon from Jiutian Shidi.
The bright moon illuminated the dark ground.
Most of the valuable corpses on the main battlefield have been carried away, only some low-level body parts remained on the battlefield.
The bleak battlefield looked somewhat eerie.
A shadow appeared in a corner of the battlefield.
In the shadow was a small black demon that was not even one meter tall. It would be considered a midget amongst the demon clan.
The small black demon had a clear objective. It first carefully observed its surroundings. After making sure there was no one lurking in the dark, it turned into a shadow and moved towards the center of the battlefield.
Its movements left no trace. It was like a fish swimming in the shadows.
Finally, it came to a halt. The small black demon raised its head. A white mark was between its brows.
The demon knelt down on one knee, using the dried blood on the surrounding corpses to draw a sacrificial formation.
A dark red mist hovered above the formation. The small demon convulsed and fell unconscious to the ground.
A while later, the small demon opened its eyes, slowly floating up from the ground.

It raised its arms outwards, its legs floated in the air.
An eerie red light glowed from its eyes.
“The familiar World Vortex Battlefield,” a raspy voice came from the small demon’s throat. “Hohoho, let me give you a big present~”
The demon’s body broke up like a melted candle. Its eyes, wings, and torso all melted into a black liquid that seeped into the soil.
One thousand meters underground.
A cocoon made of crimson velvet lay underground. Countless dense crimson silk threads extended from the surface of the cocoon, like the roots of a plant crawling over the entire earth.
It was absorbing the Air of Death and blood from the entire battlefield.
The black liquid seeped into the cocoon.
A quarter of an hour later, the cocoon moved.
It contracted, then slowly expanded, like a pumping heart.
…
“Let’s clean up these bodies.” A Mutated Tribe Monster Trainer who looked around 30 was walking in front. His familiar, a Black and White Long-Tailed Ape, followed him. Looking at the empty battlefield, the Mutated Tribe Monster Trainer grinned, Looks like I’m early today, there’s no one else here yet.
The Black and White Long-Tailed Ape moved quickly.
Effortlessly carrying two corpses on its shoulders.
The Mutated Tribe Monster Trainer identified bodies in the pile of corpses, trying to pick out the most valuable ones.
It’s quite a hassle to make this trip, so he has to maximize his profits.
“Roar!” He heard his Familiar let out an uneasy roar.
The Monster Trainer’s face fell, no longer picking bodies, ready to leave immediately.
He turned, a black shadow was nearly nose to nose with him.
“Ah-” The Monster Trainer was surprised, he fell backwards.
That’s when he saw the true form of this black shadow-a blood-stained scarecrow.
A dozen eyeballs hung from the scarecrow’s two eyes. The green veins and the size of the eyeballs brought out a frightening speculation in the Monster Trainer’s mind.
The scarecrow was wearing the combat uniform of a Mutated Tribe Monster Trainer. Its chest still had a blood-stained badge of identity.
“You…” The Mutated Tribe Monster Trainer stepped back, falling with a thump to the ground.
He was relieved to see the scarecrow didn’t take any other actions. It just stood in place silently.
The Mutated Tribe Monster Trainer got up and ran backwards.
Boom.
He seems to have hit something.
Turning around, he saw a scarecrow that was knocked over.
The hay on the scarecrow’s face separated, showing a black hole inside. It said eerily, “You touched me, so…let’s play a game~”
Gulp.
The Mutated Tribe Monster Trainer pretended to retreat. The Black and White Long-Tailed Ape was already behind him. Standing next to his Familiar, the Mutated Tribe Monster Trainer was somewhat comforted.
“Kill it!” The Mutated Tribe Monster Trainer commanded cruelly.
Game? Why would I play a game with you?
The scarecrow was expressionless. It raised its right hand, and lightly brought it upwards.
A rusty hook stuck out of the scarecrow and sank into the Black and White Long-Tailed Ape.
The Black and White Long-Tailed Ape’s soul was locked by the hook.
The Mutated Tribe Monster Trainer’s neck stiffened, thinking he might be hallucinating.
The Black and White Long-Tailed Ape fell with a bang.
The Familiar’s death caused the Blood Contract to bite back. The Mutated Tribe Monster Trainer spit out blood. He felt as if he had been sucked dry, like he hadn’t slept for three days straight. He was suddenly exhausted.
“Now there’s no one to distract us, so…let’s play a game?” The scarecrow’s voice resounded in his ears.

The Helena Chronicles
Espers are really no different than humans; they look like any normal human and in general behave like any normal human. However, there are a few key differences. The max life expectancy of espers ranges from forty-five to fifty. They naturally have a knack for mathematics and are extremely intelligent in general, this is because their abilities rely on the subconscious and conscious calculations. They also have a mysterious energy source they call Focus that is generated naturally by all espers. The continent of Elestveeve is populated by three major factions, each a governing force. On the west of the continent, there is the Noble Houses that subscribe to the Deity Faith. The Houses ruling with the Deity Faith as council since the religion's founding four-hundred years previous. Controlling most of the northeast is WITCH, an organization ruled by powerful espers; claiming the mysterious Genesis as their capital, they are a whispered myth among much of the continent's less technically advanced residents. In the southeast you have Tech City, a towering monolith of a capital with four sky layers and metropolis' leveled deep underground; it is a city brimming with technical advancement and cyber integration. Each faction contends with one another for their evolutionary ideology, by devout religious worship to receive miraculous gifts, unique genetic lineage to obtain ESP, and technological integration to become something more than human. Helena, a young genius and esper, awakes in a dark room with only fuzzy memories and the company of seven other children. She must determine how she got there and how to get back to where she came from. Warning: Due to time constraints, I don't have the time to keep up on my three stories; therefore, Helena will need to go in a stasis chamber until I can find more time to write between work and life. I love my first girl so much! however, it seems she is the least popular among the fans (the poor girl T_T). This world is much bigger than my other two novels and I'm not giving up on it, but simply having to put her on ice.
