Monster Pet Evolution Chapter 151 Return to Chang’an
After talking, Ji Hanwu and Gao Peng left the hotel room to go down for a meal at the restaurant on the second floor of the hotel. When they entered the restaurant, not a single person was inside. It was extremely quiet.
After the meal, Gao Peng took his grandfather to meet his familiars.
When Da Zi saw Ji Hanwu, it was rather suspicious of him. It lay along the side of the cage, eyeing Ji Hanwu with its unmoving pitch-black eyes. It wondered who the old man standing next to its master was.
Ji Hanwu smiled. “This is an adorable little fella.”
When Da Zi heard that, it happily raised its head, waving its antennae. After Gao Peng told Da Zi that the man was his grandfather, it became even happier, twisting its body around in glee.
Silly, on the other hand, panicked. It quickly flew out of the cage, squeezing through the bars easily with its soft and boneless body. It anxiously flew in front of Ji Hanwu, then reached a few tentacles into its personal space dimension and rummaged about before fishing out a cup of fruit juice and passing it to Ji Hanwu.
“Fruit jus, drink fruit jus!”
Silly flew around Ji Hanwu in an attempt to please him, but, at the same time, it seemed very reluctant to actually part with its fruit juice. When Ji Hanwu declined the juice, Silly let out a sigh of relief.
Pachi!
The bright blob flopped onto Gao Peng’s head, waving its tentacles around in satisfaction. Ah, this familiar feeling…
Ji Hanwu looked at them and smiled without saying a word.
…
“Do you have any ideas about you are going to do now that you’ve finished the college entrance examinations?”
“I’ll start applying for a school I guess.” Actually, he could have started applying the moment the results were out, but he had procrastinated. Of course, with the kind of results that he had gotten from the first and second rounds, he could pick any famous school in the world.
“Oh? Which school?” Ji Hanwu asked casually.
“Yuzhou University.”
“Oh? Not going to take the opportunity to venture farther while you’re young?” Ji Hanwu sounded as though he was questioning Gao Peng’s decision, but the smile on his face gave it all away. At that moment, Ji Hanwu was in a rather good mood.

“I’ll apply to Neon University then,” said Gao Peng cheekily.
Ji Hanwu turned his head and gave Gao Peng a look. “Don’t fool around. Yuzhou University it is!”
“OK.”
Gao Peng was amused. His grandpa was an old man whose words did not match the thought in his mind.
Leaving the hotel, Gao Peng took out his phone to withdraw from the competition. But then he suddenly realized that he didn’t know who to contact, and he froze on the sport awkwardly.
Ji Hanwu laughed at the sight. He took out his phone to make a few calls, then turned it off again. “Alright, the matter has been settled.”
Ji Hanwu noticed that his grandson still had some doubts and could not help but offer some words of encouragement. He patted Gao Peng on the shoulder and said, “Don’t worry so much. Just take the right steps, one step at a time. You are the owner of your own life. Grandpa will not interfere…”
As Ji Hanwu finished his words, his voice sank a little. He was thinking of his own daughter. She had run away from home exactly because he kept forcing his own ideas on her.
“Say, Grandpa. In life, do you think that one needs to care about what others think of them?” Gao Peng asked suddenly. This was something that he had kept in his heart for a long time without any answer.
“Why bother with how others see you? Are you living your life for others?” Ji Hanwu questioned in return.
Gao Peng was silent for two seconds. Then he shook his head.
“That’s right. Just take Grandpa, for example. If I cared about how others viewed me, I wouldn’t have gotten where I am today.” Ji Hanwu laughed loudly. “You must remember, in this life, as long as you keep working hard and moving forward, you will end up as the villain in some people’s stories.”
“What about you, Grandpa?”
“Me?” Ji Hanwu paused, then continue to laugh. “I’ve been notorious since long ago.”
…
There were issues to settle back at the company, so Ji Hanwu had to leave that very night.

Gao Peng also left that night, but he didn’t take the same flight as Ji Hanwu. Under his grandpa’s arrangements, he flew back to Chang’an.
Although he had decided to go to Yuzhou, Gao Peng still needed to return to Chang’an to settle certain matters before leaving, such as his old home, Flying Roc Studios, and the small villa that he had bought but barely had time to live in.
Gao Peng was the sole passenger in the plane, but he had a total of twelve flight attendants serving him throughout the flight, as well as the pilot and copilot.
When they arrived in Chang’an, the pilot said to Gao Peng, “Young Master Gao, the plane will be here at the airport. Please tell us whenever you are ready to fly again. Usually just one day in advance will do. We will arrange a time to take off with the airport.”
“Don’t you all have to get back to work?” Gao Peng asked after a moment of pause.
“You must be joking, sir. This is your personal aircraft. Our full-time work is to provide service for you,” the pilot replied with a smile.
“…Alright.” Gao Peng nodded. He was trying his best to get used to this.
When he arrived back at his villa, it was already four in the afternoon. He took a bath and then went over to Uncle Liu’s to retrieve Flamy.
Entering Uncle Liu’s home, Gao Peng was greeted by a fat white penguin hobbling over to meet him.
“Uncle Liu?” Gao Peng shouted, but there was no response from Uncle Liu.
Where is he? Gao Peng was a little puzzled. Where could Uncle Liu have gone?
Tweet, tweet. The fat penguin circled around Gao Peng many times, looking anxious.
“Since when did Uncle Liu raise a penguin in his home?”
Gao Peng squinted as he observed the penguin carefully. Suddenly, he noticed that the way the penguin walked was rather peculiar. It looked as though it was hopping, but it was too fat to actually hop properly, so it hobbled instead.
The penguin lifted its white and fluffy belly, which then spilled forward, causing it to hobble two steps forward, and it had to flap its wings to maintain balance.
Why does this penguin look so familiar?
Gao Peng was in deep thought.
Silly curiously circled the penguin with no hint of fear at all.
Tweet, tweet!! The penguin cried as loud as it could.
Because it was too fat, even its voice seemed sharper than it should be, as though it was slick with a layer of oil.
Gao Peng suddenly thought of a scary possibility. His eyes twitched.
“Fl-Flamy?”
Seeing that its master finally recognized it, Flamy excitedly flapped its wings and hopped around happily.
Gao Peng almost threw up blood.
From a thin and slender crane into a penguin? What on earth were you feeding it, Uncle Liu?
Seeing that its master was not giving it a warm embrace, Flamy tweeted indignantly.
You don’t like me anymore!
Flamy continued to tweet loudly in protest, flapping its wings and thrashing about the living room. Its sharp beak pierced a hole through the sofa and ripped out the white cotton material. With a turn of its body, it smashed an antique wooden chair.
Then Flamy stopped. It stole a glance at its owner and saw that he still was not trying to comfort it. Angrily, Flamy continued to demolish the house.
Slap!
A black shadow flashed past. Flamy spun in the air a full 1080 degrees before falling flat on the ground.
Because it was too fat, Flamy’s belly simply bounced off the ground. It helplessly beat its wings about but only managed to roll around on the ground.
A pitch-black cat as large as a leopard quietly sat in the middle of the living room. It gently licked its paw, looking at Flamy with contempt.
Dare you try to demolish the house again?
Gao Peng found this both infuriating and amusing. He picked the fat crane up from the ground. Seeing Softy’s practiced motions, it was clear that this was not the first time that Flamy had tried to demolish the house.
