Monster Pet Evolution Chapter 123 A New Group
“You were the one who destroyed my house, right?” Gao Peng said to the Flaming Red Crane and pointed to his messy home.
The Flaming Red Crane pretended not to understand what he was talking about. It looked to the ceiling.
Its body language was saying, “I’m just a bird, I have no idea what you are talking about.”
“Let us just focus on the facts. I know you understand me. I will ask directly. Did you mess up my home?” Gao Peng asked while turning over the sofa. He then sat on the sofa.
The Flaming Red Crane rolled its eyes and then fell on the floor. It pretended to be dead. It definitely understood Gao Peng.
This was a monster with a high intelligence. After all, it would reach the Lord tier when it grew up.
Gao Peng let out a long sigh. If he wanted to re-buy all the sofas and the other furniture, he would need to spend at least a couple dozen Alliance credits. Gao Peng felt a pain in his heart when he thought about it.
“Do you know how expensive the furniture was? Even if I were to sell you would still-“
Gao Peng suddenly thought of something, and changed what he was going to say. “Still be guilty.”
Guilty! Da Zi said in its mind while waving its feet. It gave the Flaming Red Crane an evil look.
Da Zi was punished badly by the master when it bit the sofa in the past. It was now taking pleasure in the misfortune of others and wanted to see the Flaming Red Crane get punished.
When it thought about Gao Peng pinning this Flaming Red Crane to the ground, it couldn’t help but let out a laugh.
The Flaming Red Crane looked at Gao Peng with a dull look. It seemed to be suggesting to Gao Peng that he never even said that it wasn’t allowed to tear up his house.
When it was living in its old house, it could destroy things as it pleased. The monsters that were responsible for guarding the place didn’t dare to interfere with what it did. Why couldn’t it do the same now?

The Flaming Red Crane suddenly thought of something. Its eyes went dim, his head slumped down. It seemingly accepted defeat.
Gao Peng didn’t have the energy to deal with the Flaming Red Crane anymore, “Fine, fine. Forget about it. Just don’t do it again.”
Da Zi was stupefied. What? He wasn’t going to hit it? He would give it another chance?
Gao Peng didn’t act like this when Da Zi was being punished!
Da Zi looked at his master in shock. Gao Peng did not know about all the thoughts that were going on in Da Zi’s mind within this short period of time.
Gao Peng called the furniture store and put down an order for new furniture. The person who picked up the phone immediately took down the order and promised to have them delivered within two hours.
The person from the furniture store had seen such cases of needing to replace a large amounts of furniture. After all, most familiars were very active. It was normal for them to destroy the furniture in their homes. However, this was the first time he had received such a large order to replace all the destroyed furniture in a person’s house.
Gao Peng thought in silence and started to carefully look over the Flaming Red Crane. This Flaming Red Crane had an Epic grade, which was the same as Dumby’s. It would automatically reach the Lord tier when it grew up. It would definitely evolve quickly.
Dumby’s Epic grade allowed it to be promoted to the Commander and Lord tier, but the evolution speed couldn’t be compared to the Flaming Red Crane’s.
Gao Peng did not think that his grandfather would give him such a big gift. How strong would a Lord tier monster be at its peak? Gao Peng could only use the Desert Ruler as a reference.
He took a deep breath. It seemed that his grandfather was much more powerful than he thought.
This was a good thing. He should have been happy that his grandfather was strong; he was his relative after all.
At the same time, Gao Peng also started to worry. How big of a problem was his grandfather facing if even he couldn’t resolve it? Would Gao Peng be strong enough to deal with it?

“Let’s give you a name.” Gao Peng was sitting on the stone bench in the garden facing the Flaming Red Crane. It was looking into the pond, trying to see if there were any fish in it.
The Flaming Red Crane only had a single leg, so it had to hop to move around on land.
It stretched its neck, observing the fish in the pond. It made a sound to indicate to Gao Peng that he didn’t care what name he gave it.
Suddenly the Flaming Red Crane’s beak pierced through the water like a sword. It struck the back of a fish. It lifted up its head and threw the fish into the air, opened its mouth, and swallowed the fish.
It squinted its eyes. The fish tasted pretty good.
“Since you have the word Flaming in your name, I’ll call you Flamy.”
The Flaming Red Crane blinked and turned its head. It didn’t know what that meant anyway. As long as it sounded good. It called twice to show that it was fine with the name.
Gao Peng thought that Flamy might be a bit nervous since it had only just arrived. He decided against signing the Blood Contract straight away. He would let Flamy relax a bit before doing anything.
He was lucky that he had bought this villa, otherwise, he wouldn’t have been able to fit all his familiars in one place.
Dumby and Stripey realized that they no longer had to take turns to sleep in the underground parking lot. They were so happy that they laid down on the grass to enjoy the night breeze and to look at the stars.
Da Zi was given to Gao Peng by his parents, and so was the most precious to him. Silly, Dumby, and Stripey were acquired within a similar timespan, so they were grouped together.
Now that Flamy was here, there would be a new group.
Gao Peng felt that he was very good at giving names. He was able to come up with a name on the spot.
“Flamy, come here,” Gao Peng called. Flamy was taking in the night breeze. Gao Peng was sitting on a swing and closed the book in his hand.
Flamy turned its head towards Gao Peng. It spread its wings and flew over. It turned its head and looked at Gao Peng with uncertainty.
Gao Peng put down the book in his hands and took out a blood collection device from his pocket.
Gao Peng placed his left hand on Flamy’s head. He closed his eyes.
He entered into Flammy’s consciousness, and something started to appear.
The clarity of what appeared might have been a direct correlation to how intelligent the familiar was.
Gao Peng could even see some scattered memories within Flamy’s mind.
It was a large swamp. Water plants were flourishing in that area. There were a large number of different creatures living in the middle of the swamp.
A large number of unwelcome guests suddenly appeared in the swamps.
Silhouettes of large creatures appeared beneath the waters. Green tortoise shells that looked like rocks moved across the surface of the water.
They were moving rapidly. The water was turbulent.
The image Gao Peng was looking at suddenly had a red filter all over it and Flamy saw a figure coming down from the sky.
The swamp most likely contained something that beneficial to the growth of monsters, otherwise other Lord tier monsters wouldn’t go and try to take over the area. Gao Peng started to think. Within Flamy’s mind, there was one memory that was particularly vivid. A large Flaming Red Crane that looked similar to Flamy was bitten by a giant crocodile that was at least a 300 feet long. The crane was dragged into the water and it struggled until it died. Its blood turned the water red.
Gao Peng could feel the pain from this horrifying scene.
