Monster Pet Evolution Chapter 100: Departure from the Valley

The warning reverberated in the valley. Every examinee heard the high-pitched sound.

The startled Mu Tieying, who had not yet regained her composure, finally came to her senses. Once she saw Da Zi she knew who the person behind the attack was. She looked curiously at Dumby, but she did not know what was polite to ask. Instead, she profusely thanked Gao Peng who emerged from the other side of the jungle, saying, "Thank you, really thank you!"

After that, he waved to dismiss the students.

In the car, Gao Peng looked at the scenery outside the window and let his thoughts run wild.

This was the world after the Cataclysm. There was no absolutely safe place. He remembered that in Africa last month, a base camp city fell to a wave of frenzied monsters. According to the investigation conducted by the Alliance, it appeared that someone had taken the cub of a Lord tier monster into the city. So, the angered Lord tier monster led a swarm of monsters to attack and broke through the defense of the base city.

Only after returning the cub were they able to remove the Lord tier monster from the city.

The base suffered heavy losses. Their casualties were in the tens of thousands, and many buildings were destroyed.

However, as it was quite a distance away from the Huaxia region, that incident did not garner much attention.

"Thank you very much for today," Mu Qingluan thanked Gao Peng again.

"You're welcome. Anyone would have done the same as long as it was within their power," Gao Peng said. He shook his head to indicate it was nothing.

After that, the four of them started chatting away in the car.

Gao Peng turned around unintentionally. He was startled as he saw a guy with a crew cut and earrings leaning on the back of Gao Peng's seat. He was very close, so close that Gao Peng could feel his breath.

The guy with the crew cut said to Gao Peng with a faint smile, "Brother, I remember we were seated close to each other in the morning as well. We sure are fated, right?"

Gao Peng recognized him. He was one of the guys he locked inside the safe house last time.

"Indeed, we are fated," Gao Peng nodded.

"I feel like I've met you before somewhere. Have I?" the crew cut youngster said.

"Indeed you have. We've met; we were once separated only by a wall." Gao Peng's lip curved upward. He admitted it honestly since from the look of these people, they recognized his voice. Instead of waiting for the group of people to continue annoying him, he wanted to settle things quickly.

He had nothing to be afraid of. Every bus had a Silver Moon Wolf, belonging to the instructor. There was no way this bunch of people would dare to do anything on the bus. As for after they left the bus… It would be difficult to tell who would be the one doing the bullying.

The crew cut guy was stunned for a moment. He never imagined that the kid would have admitted himself so quickly.

The crew cut was stunned. Although Mu Tieying was a girl, her strong body was intimidating.

Mu Tieying did not speak that day, so he did not know that Mu Tieying had also been there. He opened his mouth to say something but stopped. In the end, he forgot what he wanted to say.

After getting off the bus, Gao Peng, Mu Tieying, and the gang chatted joyously before waving each other goodbye. Gao Peng went home alone.

As soon as he made a turn at a junction, two people appeared before him. Among them was the crew cut youngster from the bus. Behind Gao Peng was another two people blocking his path.

Standing beside these people were four familiars.

With a snicker, the crew cut youngster said, "Didn't expect this, did you? You didn't expect us to wait for you on the way home, right? Aren't you surprised?"

Behind them stood four differently-shaped familiars. However, none of them were above level 10.

Gao Peng was speechless. It was like looking at a bunch of idiots.
