Battling Records of the Chosen One Chapter 192: Commune of Spiritual Tattooists
The next morning-
After breakfast, as Lin Xun was about to go out with the Snowfall Saber he had refined, he was stopped by Shue Jin.
“Boy, are you a spiritual tattooist?”
Lin Xun felt stunned first and then nodded his head, “Yes.”
He refined the spiritual weapon in his own room last night, without making too much noise, but Shue Jin absolutely knew what he did.
Shue Jin continued, “Oh, so are you planning to sell the spiritual weapon?”
Lin Xun said, “It’s quite normal, isn’t it? Without money, how can I buy liquor for you?”
Shue Jin said with a chuckle while shaking his hand, “Go ahead. I’m just checking.”
Lin Xun felt something strange with Shue Jin, “Jin, do you have a problem with me in selling the spiritual weapon?”
Shue Jin said slowly, “Well, I’m just wondering how a spiritual tattooist like you would descend to earning money by selling spiritual weapons. If the guys of the Commune of Spiritual Tattooists know this, they’ll come and kick your ass.”
Lin Xun was taken aback, “Why do you say that?”
Shue Jin lifted his head and took a mouthful of his liquor, wearing a look as if he was looking at an idiot, “Boy, are you really stupid or do you pretend to be stupid? Spiritual tattooists enjoy a highly honorable status in the empire. Wherever they go, they’ll be surrounded by a myriad of people. But you act like a lowly peddler, which is literally a disgrace to spiritual tattooists.”
Lin Xun asked surprisingly, “Are you serious?”
Shue Jin said scornfully, “Only you don’t take your status seriously.”
Lin Xun revealed a bitter smile, for he had never considered himself as a very honorable person.
Even so, he also knew that spiritual tattooists enjoyed an extremely noble position in the world. All forces always competed with each other in order to draw a real spiritual tattooist over to own side.
Spiritual tattooists remained to be the most unique occupation with extremely high status even in the entire empire, for the role of spiritual tattooists couldn’t be more significant. Everything involved in cultivation almost bore a close relationship with them,
such as refining spiritual weapons and equipment for practitioners; refining beast plates for beast trainers; setting spiritual formations for spiritual botanists and refining pill-making furnaces for chemists.
Spiritual tattooists almost played a role in all the respects of cultivation.
Unfortunately, the number of spiritual tattooists in the world was quite small, even scarce. You couldn’t even find one among every 1,000 practitioners.
In that case, spiritual tattooists became more and more exalted in the empire.

“It turns out that you know nothing. I really doubt how you became a spiritual tattooist. Didn’t your master tell you how to embody your value?” Shue Jin sighed.
“Jin, I really know nothing about that. Could you give me some advice?” Lin Xun humbly asked.
With a cold sneer, Shue Jin stretched out one finger, “A jar of Soul-burning liquor.”
Lin Xun nodded without any hesitation, “Deal.”
Shue Jin then said with a smile, “You’re very funny. Sometimes, you look damn smart, but sometimes you look like a moron.”
Afterward, Shue Jin finally gave Lin Xun a clear direction-
Commune of Spiritual Tattooists of the empire!
…
As an extremely large alliance of spiritual tattooists, Commune of Spiritual Tattooists of the empire had its branches scattered all over the 34 provinces of the empire.
There was, of course, a branch in Mist City, the capital of Southwestern Province.
As Lin Xun finally found the place after asking about it all the way along, he saw a magnificent and towering building being erected there like a Triton among the minnows.
On the top of the building was a line of vigorous and ancient big characters – “Commune of Spiritual Tattooists of Mist City”, reflected by a Phantom Spiritual Formation.
Each character was glittering and dreamlike like a gorgeous rosy cloud rising, which was dazzlingly beautiful.
Other practitioners might exclaim with admiration and be shocked by the considerable input of the Commune of Spiritual Tattooists.
While Lin’s first reaction deep in his heart was: the Commune of Spiritual Tattooists was so damn rich!
The Phantom Spiritual Formation kept miraculously transforming at the expense of plenty of spiritual crystals! But, such a spiritual formation was just used as a signboard, indicating how inhumanely rich the Commune was.
And this made Lin Xun more curious about the Commune.
Since he came to earn money, the richer the Commune of Spiritual Tattooists looked, the more money he could make here.
Lin Xun resolutely walked into the Commune.
“Welcome to the Commune of Spiritual Tattooists.”
The moment he entered the door, a charming maid ushered him in with dignity and decorum. She asked with a standard smile on her face, “Would you like to purchase treasures, issue missions, or sell items?”
“I want to take a look first,” said Lin Xun carelessly.
Lin Xun was attired in plain clothes, but he looked quite handsome. Though he was just 14 years old, he looked tall and graceful with deep eyes, an angular face and an ethereal air. Thereby, the charming maid didn’t dare to cold-shoulder him.
She nodded with a smile. “Childe, please take your time. If you need anything, I’ll be at your service.”

Then, she slightly bowed to him and walked away.
Lin Xun really appreciated the service attitude.
Gorgeous and magnificent, the spacious Commune of Spiritual Tattooists was divided into many different areas, including spiritual treasure area, exchange area, and mission area.
Although it was in the morning, the Commune was full of people, most of who were practitioners, which made it really prosperous.
These were just the areas of the Commune open to the public. As the alliance of spiritual tattooists of the empire, Commune of Spiritual Tattooists was actually established with only one real purpose, to serve the spiritual tattooists!
As long as a spiritual tattooist was successfully authenticated by the Commune, he could enjoy much convenience wherein.
Correspondingly, each spiritual tattooist needed to make some contributions to the Commune while enjoying the benefits. Of course, this kind of contributions wasn’t difficult at all and sometimes even quite easy.
For instance, a mission area was established in each Commune of Spiritual Tattooists. Different missions were published every day. Any spiritual tattooist who could help resolve one would get not only considerable money as payback but also corresponding credits.
The more credits a spiritual tattooist accumulated, the more privileges he would enjoy in the Commune.
Having loitered on the first floor for a long time, Lin Xun found it nothing special and no different from other Businesses.
As to the second floor, only the spiritual tattooists authenticated by the Commune and the honorable big shots could have access to it. Thus, Lin Xun couldn’t get in for now.
Lin Xun shortly left the distracting thoughts behind and directly came to the authentication area.
There were few people in the authentication area. As Lin Xun reached there, only a middle-aged man in gray sat there with his eyes closed tightly, making the others wonder whether he was in meditation or asleep.
But when Lin Xun got there, the middle-aged man in gray suddenly opened his eyes and gave Lin Xun a sincere smile.
As he noticed that Lin Xun was only a teenager, he felt a little strange and asked, “Childe, this area is for authenticating spiritual tattooists.”
Lin Xun said, “That’s why I am here.”
The middle-aged man in gray was a little surprised, “Are you a spiritual tattooist?”
Lin Xun said with a smile, “You may not believe what I said. But we’ll know after the authentication.”
The middle-aged man in gray felt surprised and suspicious, for the teenager in front of him was too young, only 14 or 15 years old at most. It was reasonable if he was a spiritual apprentice. But it was hard for anyone to believe that he was a spiritual tattooist.
“Childe, how…how old are you?” the middle-aged man couldn’t help asking.
Lin Xun asked in reply, “Is age a problem during the authentication of a spiritual tattooist?”
The middle-aged man felt a little embarrassed, “Childe, don’t take me wrong. I’m just a little curious.”
As he spoke, he waved to a maid, signaling her to come here. After thinking for a while, he said, “You take him to the second floor for the authentication.”
Coincidentally, the maid was the one who had served Lin Xun just now. On hearing that, she was also a little astonished. Then she immediately said, “Childe, please follow me.”
Afterward, she led Lin Xun to the second floor.
“The boy has an imposing appearance. He shouldn’t be a fraud. But, how can he, at such a young age, be qualified to be a spiritual tattooist?”
Watching Lin Xun leave, the middle-aged man felt a little confused, with his eyebrows knitted.
He knew it clearly that it was rather difficult to be a real spiritual tattooist. The Human-gang Realm was the lowest standard to judge a spiritual tattooist in terms of cultivation, which was relatively easy for a practitioner to achieve.
When it came to the spiritual tattoo, it required that the candidate be able to refine a spiritual tattoo formation by himself!
This wasn’t something any practitioner could easily do.
Without any exaggeration, there were numberless spiritual apprentices in the entire empire, but few could refine a spiritual tattoo formation by themselves!
The cruelest thing was that mot spiritual apprentices couldn’t step into the ranks of spiritual tattooists all their lives due to different reasons!
One could imagine how difficult it was for a practitioner to become a spiritual tattooist.
The middle-aged man had served many spiritual tattooists over those years, most of who were adult practitioners having lived for dozens or even hundreds of years. He had rarely seen teenagers like Lin Xun before.
At least he hadn’t met one in recent years.
Yes!
Definitely none!
So he was so astounded when he saw Lin Xun.
“Damn it! Is the boy a fraud?”
The middle-aged man was a little anxious, with his face twisted. But after thinking for a while, he hesitated again. If the boy was a fraud, what could he get from the Commune?
Thinking about it back and forth, he got totally perplexed, and could not stay calm anymore.
At the same time, Lin Xun was going to the second floor with the pretty maid.
The maid couldn’t help glancing at him all the way with curiosity and also doubt in her eyes. She also wondered how could such a young man be a spiritual tattooist.
Of course, Lin Xun noticed it. He smiled and asked in a flirting tone, “Girl, you seem interested in me, don’t you?”
The beautiful maid immediately blushed with embarrassment.
