Battling Records of the Chosen One Chapter 160: Benefits from Spiritual Transformation
At the bottom of the volcano.
Lin Xun sat upright, cross-legged, with a quiet look on his handsome face.
Wisps of pure azure spiritual air shrouded him, which added an ethereal aura to Lin.
In his body, the turbulent spiritual power was like a tempestuous river. After continuous refinement by four spiritual vortexes, the spiritual power became clear as an azure stone, glittering with bright light blue faintly, and showing a rarely ethereal characteristic.
It meant that the quality of Lin Xun's spiritual power was at an amazing level that could hardly be reached!
The stronger the spiritual power was, the firmer a practitioner’s foundation was.
And the higher the quality was, the more powerful the spiritual power would be in battle!
Lin Xun's body emitted a rumbling noise due to tremendous spiritual power surging inside, like mountains in collision. His veins, acupoints and viscera were filled with surging spiritual power.
In his flesh, muscles, bones and skin, the strength formed a unique resonance with the spiritual Qi in the body.
Inside, Qi was the root of power.

The unity of spiritual Qi and robust body was the essence of Nature Insight & Spirit-devouring Scripture, which meant to refine and perfect spiritual Qi and one’s body at the same time!
Lin Xun did not notice that there was an amazing transformation inside and outside his body.
This transformation began with inner spiritual power…
In the term of cultivation, this change was called “spiritual transformation”!
…
Two more days passed quickly.
The atmosphere around this volcano was getting more and more tense. In the past two days, a lot of strong Water Barbarians came and stayed around the volcano.
At the same time, there were many figures of human practitioners too, hiding in different areas near the volcano, and many strong barbarians belonging to the other branches of the Voodoo-barbarian Tribe stayed.
Strangely, in such a situation, there was no fighting from beginning to end.
Both the human practitioners and strong Voodoo-barbarians seemed to be waiting for something to break the deadlock.
Everyone knew that a storm was brewing, and its result was bound to be unpredictable!
Shrizi became more and more agitated and knitted his eyebrows.
His wounds all healed up and his physical strength returned to its peak. But he was anxious since Lin Xun had not appeared yet. The growing tension around the volcano aggravated Shrizi’s worries.
Shrizi was not afraid of fighting. He was worried about whether there would be too many variables in the action of recapturing Amrita Saint Pearl in this situation.

“Anyway, tomorrow, if he doesn't show up, I'll enter the volcano in person!” Shrizi took a deep breath and a touch of determination flashed across his eyes.
…
“Why don’t they take any action since so many barbarians have assembled here?”
“They're waiting. Maybe a treasure is about to come out of the volcano. Maybe there's a secret that's very important to Water Barbarians. Otherwise, they'll never be so serious.”
“Treasure? Secret? Is it impossible?”
“Would it be a trap to lure us in and wipe us out?”
“It can't be a trap. You see, the strong Water Barbarians guard the whole volcano. Even the Fire Barbarians, Wood Barbarians, Earth Barbarians and Gold Barbarians, who all belonged to Voodoo-barbarian Tribe, can't get close to the volcano. How can this be a trap?”
“Anyway, the truth will surely be revealed soon. Maybe there will be a fierce battle at that time. We should be careful. If the situation is too dangerous, it's better to get away early.”
Talks like this took place in every area near the volcano, where were hiding practitioners from the empire, trainees from Bloodthirsty Camp and soldiers from Reshahar Army.
No one could guess what the strong Water Barbarians were doing.
But everyone knew that this battle might break out at any moment!
…
When the night fell, Shrizi finally got a good news.
Quill Flamen brought a suit of “Frost Armor”! It was carved with mysterious frost barbarian tattoos, which could emit a chilly light. Wearing it, Shrizi could be completely unafraid of the invasion of the magma.
However, this “Frost Armor” was refined in a hurry. According to Quill Flamen, it could only last about half an hour in the molten lava.
“That’s enough. It won't take half an hour to kill him if the human is not dead!” Shrizi put on the Frost Armor and he was in his high spirits.
Shrizi was a little impatient. He had never been so eager to kill a man after entering the Demon-cloud Ridge.
“Be careful,” Quill Flamen said beside Shrizi, his voice was hoarse, and his skinny and swarthy face looked ghastly pale.
In order to refine Frost Armor, Quill Flamen hardly ever shut his eyes these days. He expended all his energies on it, which made him exhausted physically and mentally.
“Thank you for your hard work. I will bring you the Amrita Saint Pearl!” Shrizi said earnestly.
Quill Flamen gritted his teeth and said, “Not only Amrita Saint Pearl, but also the human bastard. You must bring back his corpse. I will make a wine bowl with his head and drink his blood to counteract the anger and hatred in my heart!”

Shrizi smiled, revealing his white teeth, “That's what I am going to do.”
“Really?”
Suddenly, a voice arose.
Shrizi and Quill Flamen turned their heads in unison. They saw a handsome figure appear on the edge of the crater.
It was Lin Xun!
Enemies’ eyes blazed with hate when they met. At this moment, Quill Flamen’s eyes widened, and a grim smile appeared on his old face. He shouted, “Small bastard, you finally show up! Kill him! Be quick! Go to kill him!”
How could he expect that the murderer who had been hidden for many days would jump out on his own initiative? It was so exciting!
With a clang, Shrizi pulled out his bronze dagger, and the killing intention was obvious on his handsome face, “This time, I will not give you any chance to escape!”
Boom!
Shrizi rushed out like a flash of lightning, and the bronze dagger cut the air at an incredible speed, stabbing towards Lin Xun’s throat.
But Shrizi felt his vision blurred, and then Lin Xun's figure disappeared.
What was wrong?
Shrizi was shocked; he turned his head and saw Lin Xun had hijacked Quill Flamen. One of Lin’s powerful hands was grasping the neck of Quill Flamen, making his old face dark purple and eyes bulging, and almost suffocating him to death.
Crack!
There was no nonsense at all. Lin Xun flexed his wrist slightly and broke the neck of Quill Flamen, while Quill Flamen had no time to let out a cry before he died with his head aslant feebly.
His old face was full of resentment and unwillingness.
Lin Xun was too fast!
In a blink of an eye, Lin Xun killed Quill Flamen as if it was just a breeze, leaving no time for Shrizi to rescue Quill Flamen.
“Damn you!”
Shrizi’s face darkened, and at the same time he was shocked and bewildered.
Compared with himself a few days ago, Lin Xun seemed to become another person with a different temperament which made Shrizi feel oppressed.
Did he have another adventure that promoted his cultivation in the past few days?
This thought flickered in Shrizi’s mind, but his movements were not slow at all. He rushed to Lin Xun with his dagger.
Bang!
Lin Xun landed a simple blow with his saber, but the tremendous force, whose shock made the right arm of Shrizi hurt, and Shrizi lost his balance and staggered seven or eight steps back, as if he was hit by a tsunami just now.
“How can you be so powerful?!”
Shrizi was shocked. How could this guy's fighting capacity change so dramatically within just a few days?
The last time when Shrizi and Lin fought with each other, Lin Xun could barely defeat Shrizi, but now something changed…
Shrizi had some difficulty in accepting this fact.
Puff~ As Lin Xun turned his blade and easily cut off the Totem Barbarian Tattoo on the chest of Quill Flamen.
Then he said, “Isn't it surprising?”
Shrizi looked sullen, “How did you change so much?”
Lin Xun smiled and threw the corpse of Quill Flamen into the crater behind him like that was just garbage. He said, “Thanks to the sacred treasure of your Water Barbarian Branch; it is really a nice treasure.”
The sacred treasure!
Shrizi felt a sudden flush of outrage. This despicable human bastard should profane and use the power of the sacred treasure. It was absolutely a sin that even God could not forgive!
Boom!
Shrizi brandished his dagger with anger like lightning, with his bronze dagger emitting a strange hum like the scream of a devil wanting to eat souls.
Almost at the same time, Lin Xun moved, too. The Army Breacher lightly launched a blow, but produced a kind of landslide and tsunami-like enormous force which rushed at Shrizi.
With a deafening crash and sparks flying, Shrizi coughed up blood. He was pushed away and tumbled down to the ground in a poor way.
“You… You…”
Shrizi’s handsome face twisted in amazement. The transformation of Lin Xun's fighting capacity was so amazing that it was hard for him to withstand even one attack! It was incredible!
Clearly, Lin Xun had not reached Gang Spirit Realm. Why was his fighting capacity so terrible?
Shrizi couldn’t understand, and there was a touch of irrepressible fear in his heart.
Whoosh!
Lin Xun closed in on Shrizi, like an overweening tiger.
“Help! Kill him! Kill him now!”
Shrizi dared not fight against Lin directly. The situation was too disadvantageous for him. He turned around subconsciously and ran away for help.
At this moment, Shrizi abandoned his pride, panic-stricken as a stray dog, without graces at all.
Shrizi felt helpless because with such terribly-high combat effectiveness, Lin Xun could kill him easily.
Shrizi’s fighting spirit was still there, but he knew that he didn’t have enough strength to fight with Lin.
He must seek for help now!
This fucking bastard improved himself by the sacred treasure. He should be torn to pieces!
Lin Xun did not chase after Shrizi. He noticed groups of figures at the foot of the mountain coming this way quickly.
There were strong Water Barbarians everywhere. Obviously, the short battle just happened had attracted their attention.
Lin Xun stood still on the mountain, with his black eyes clear as crystals. The terrible killing intent was surging in his heart, since he had been chased and almost killed.
Now, it was the time for revenge!

The Dao of Magic
Here I am, sitting on a mountain so far away from civilisation it might as well be the godforsaken arse of the world, about to ascend. Can't wait to leave this crapfest of a planet... Turns out that the higher ups decided that an unaffiliated rogue like me is too big of a risk to let run around free. Seems like this entire cultivation world is a late stage capitalist money making machine for the powers that be in the higher realms, and me stealing the good loot in front of their descendants and sect disciples noses finally pissed them off enough to take action. First, they sent all the sect masters and hidden dao protectors to off me - which failed, obviously. Heh, afterwards they simply bitch slapped me out of their universe though. That is interesting and all, but I just woke up in a valley watching some critters murder each other while trying not to freak out about how bad it smells here.Soo… where the fuck am I? Why is that deer fighting a feathery squirrel? Why am I teaching this baby rabbit saved from a cannibalistic mother how to kick beings in the face with the power of qi?Releases a couple of times a week!
