Battling Records of the Chosen One Chapter 150: Hatred Taking Root
Rumbling~
The formidable momentum like landslides and tidal waves unstoppably rushed toward Shu Sanqi.
Shu Sanqi, with a cold sneer, suddenly threw a simple punch, which made Shin Rutie change his face slightly and have to use his palm to block it.
Unexpectedly, Shu Sanqi leaned forward with his right fist smashing into Shin’s palm. In the meantime, Shu Sanqi’s left arm swung out and banged hard on Shin’s shoulder.
Promptly, Shin Rutie’s body shook violently, and his face became livid. In the end, he couldn’t help taking one step back.
“You!”
Shin Rutie became furious. As he was about to counterattack, Shu Sanqi suddenly pulled his Qi back, stood sideways and said coldly, “Do you really want a fight with me?”
Shin Rutie fixed his eyes on Shu Sanqi for a long time. Afterward, he suddenly laughed, “Old chap, you’ve been never willing to suffer a loss.”

Hearing this, Lin Xun wrinkled his eyebrows, wondering why Shu changed his attitude.
Young Man’s look changed quickly, but she bit her tongue.
However, Old Mo burst into laughter at this moment, “Well, I am done with this remote place. If I can return to the Academy of Spiritual Implements of our empire, I’ll feel not bad.”
Shin Rutie glanced at Shu Sanqi, “I was ordered to take both of them back!”
Shu Sanqi said coldly, “You come here only for the new-type Ziying Battleship and Meteors Crossbow. I tell you clearly that Old Mo refined them and that they have nothing to do with Lin Xun.”
Now, Lin Xun knew the ultimate cause of Shin’s arrival finally. It was all about the Ziying Battleship and the Meteors Crossbow.
For a moment, Lin was in an emotional turmoil. What was this? The precious stone landed its innocent possessor in jail?
At first sight, he knew that with an influential background, Shin Rutie was apparently a big shot in the upper class of the empire. However, Shin condescended to come here for two persons, which thereby showed the empire attached importance to this matter.
It should be good for both Old Mo and Lin Xun. But, according to the looks of Shu Sanqi, Young Man, and Old Mo, such a good matter wouldn’t be absolutely so simple.
Shin Rutie replied with an “oh”, showing his apparent disbelief in Shu. Without even changing his attitude and resolution, he said directly, “No matter whether the boy is involved in this matter, I’ll take him to the Forbidden City for assessment.”
During his dispute with Shu Sanqi, he subconsciously glanced at Lin Xun, making Lin feel bloodcurdling as if his Qi was totally frozen and he was stared at by an ancient ferocious beast which wanted to swallow him.

How horrendous was Shin Rutie’s cultivation?
Lin Xun couldn’t figure it out.
It really oppressed him. Being targeted by such a big shot would cause him an unpredictable result.
“If you want to take him away, you have to kill me right away!” said Old Mo abruptly with his skinny old face full of resolution.
At this moment, Old Mo was totally different from before. Getting rid out of the sordid aura, he looked composed and arrogant as if he was ready for his death unflinchingly.
Lin Xun felt so touched because of this scene that various feelings grew in his heart. He thought of those experiences of working with Old Mo. The scenes seemed to unfold before his eyes.
The situation that a spiritual tattoo master used his own life to threaten Shin Rutie was a little knotty for Shin. Shin couldn’t help frowning and said chillingly, “Master Mo, do you know you are against the empire’s order?”
“Enough!”
Having taken a deep breath, Shu Sanqi said indifferently, “I’ll bear all the consequences. If you still refuse my offer, we might have a fight again.”
As Shin Rutie’s face became sullen, the atmosphere became tense accordingly, making the others present difficult to breathe.
“Good, very good, Shu Sanqi! Now that you’re so daring, let’s wait and see how the big shots in the Forbidden City will deal with this matter!”
Having said those coldly, Shin Rutie turned around and left.
Before reaching the door of the warehouse, he turned his head suddenly and said, “I hope Master Mo can take the initiative to leave with me prior to the dawn tomorrow. If any accident happens, the Bloodthirsty Camp will probably be shut down as it was before.”
His figure had already disappeared in the darkness before he finished his words.
Silence enveloped the warehouse. Shu Sanqi kept silent as if he was thinking of something. Young Man’s face was gloomy, and she seemed battered out of her senses.
On the contrary, Old Mo looked more composed. He patted Lin on his shoulder and said, “Son, don’t overthink it. My departure doesn’t mean I’ll die. Since I possess the secret of remolding Ziying Battleships, they won’t treat me badly.”
With a chuckle, he continued arrogantly, “To the contrary, they will treat me as well as possible. By then, I’ll get what I want, such as beautiful women, wealth, status, honor…”
Looking at his face, Lin Xun relapsed into a trance. After a long time, he said seriously, “Old Mo, your acting is so fake, and we don’t feel any better at all.”
Old Mo’s look was frozen for a second, and then he asked with a bitter smile, “What do you want me to say?”
Having taken a deep breath, Lin Xun said decisively, “No matter who made the order to take you away, I’ll let him pay a price someday!

Old Mo felt moved immediately with his lips’ corner shaking for several times. Finally, he said nothing. He just clapped hard on Lin’s shoulder with a thankful smile.
At the moment, Shu Sanqi turned his around and said, “The consequence isn’t too bad. Even if Shin Rutie didn’t come here this time, someone else will come here someday.”
Old Mo said with a nod, “Chief Shu is right. The secret of the Ziying Battleship can’t be kept forever. Only Academy of Spiritual Implements can bring into full play the force of such kind of powerful weapon.”
Knowing that Old Mo was reasonable, Shu Sanqi said with a nod, “I’ll see you off in person tomorrow morning.”
Then, he turned around and walked away.
After a long time’s trance, Old Mo shook his head, “I’ll prepare some stuff, too.” He rushed toward his own room in the depth of the warehouse.
Lin Xun knew that Old Mo didn’t want to speak too much at the moment, for fear that Lin might misunderstand and worry.
“The old man…” Lin Xun sighed, emotionally upset.
Old Mo was a good person. During the period, Old Mo accompanied Lin Xun like one of his old friends. But now, Old Mo was forced to leave, and Lin couldn’t do anything. Lin Xun felt extremely uncomfortable because of such kind of helpless and powerless feeling.
“Old Mo’s leaving has nothing to do with you, so why do you make such a decision?” asked Young Man standing next to him in a low voice.
“You are wrong!”
Lin Xun continued without any hesitation, “Without me, the Ziying Battleship wouldn’t have been remolded successfully, neither would the Meteors Crossbow. If so, do you think what happened today would happen?”
As Young Man was about to say something, Lin Xun interrupted her, “I don’t care about the interests of the empire, but I’m concerned about Old Mo who will be taken away. That is the reason why I must seek justice for Old Mo!”
Young Man suddenly discovered that the teenager had unknowingly possessed the courage to face all kinds of difficulties alone, upon seeing his chiseled handsome face and composed and resolved expression and listening to his forceful words.
That was the mind and demeanor of a true man!
…
It was still dark on the next morning.
A medium Falcon Battleship was going to take off with roars.
Callous and dignified, Shin Rutie stood in front of the battleship with his hands clasped behind his back. As he saw Shu Sanqi send Old Mo here in person, an intangible sneer crossed Shin’s lips corners.
“Master Mo, please!”
Shin Rutie stood sideways and invited Old Mo to board the battleship.
“Thank you!” Old Mo nodded with his mind wandering and then boarded the battleship. In the halfway, he couldn’t help looking back, but he saw nothing but the darkness.
He couldn’t help jeering at himself. Afterward, he quickly came into the battleship without any hesitation.
“Old chap, you should know that you’ve violated the upper class’ will of our empire since you keep the teenager named Lin Xun here. I’m afraid it’s not easy for you to bear the consequences.”
Having witnessed Old Mo enter the battleship, Shin Rutie turned his head to see Shu Sanqi and said, “I hope we still have a chance to fight with each other. Goodbye.”
As he turned around and was ready to leave, Shu Sanqi said suddenly, “Do you know who sent Lin Xun here?”
Immediately, Shin Rutie stopped, and then said, “Ha, do you want to use the force behind him to threaten me? So ridiculous! I’m on behalf of our empire’s will. I’m not afraid to offend anyone in the empire.”
With a sneer, he strode toward the battleship.
As soon as Shin arrived at the door of the battleship, Shu’s voice arose, “The empire’s will is unshakable, but as far as I know, a hostler in the empire has never changed his attitude because of our empire’s will.”
Shin Rutie was slightly in a daze, and then he seemed to think of something. His face changed quickly, and he turned around, only finding that Shu had already disappeared.
“Did…did he mean the one of Heiyao Shrine?”
After entering the battleship, Shin Rutie hadn’t become calm yet. He was pondering whether the hostler was that one or not. After all, there was only one in the empire who could be mentioned by Shu Sanqi and wouldn’t change his own attitude because of the empire’s will.
A trace of gloom appeared on Shin’s face. Somewhat, he resented Shu Sanqi. Shu didn’t tell him this until he left, which was quite abhorrent.
Bang~ Falcon Battleship took off, marched on against the clouds and disappeared on the vast horizon.
Just at the moment, it was dawn. A ray of light pierced through the darkness like lightning and illuminated the world.
In the camp, Lin Xun drew back his sight and turned away.
Against the morning sunlight, the slender and straight figure of the teenager was covered with a layer of dreamy luster. No one knew what he was thinking now.
Young Man stared at Lin Xun till he disappeared. Suddenly, she slowly sighed, thinking of what Lin said last night. An idea popped into her head-
Just like lot or luck by which people were brought together, some hatreds would take root by accident.

Legacy
After a gruesome accident, John can't live a normal life anymore. While he's in a coma, he is offered an interesting proposal. If he can't live a normal life in the real world, maybe he could try living a good one in the virtual world. It sounds like an easy solution but things may not go as planned. Chapter 1 and 2 can be considered prologues but I advise you to read them to get a better understanding of both the characters and the world. The story picks up after chapter 4 so if you wish to read a story with a """"slightly"""" dark main character, please be patient. Warning! Some chapters may include : strong coarse language, violence, scenes that are suggestive of or depicting sexual intercourse, rape and ritualistic murders.

I added the tramtising tag since the whole demon lord thing isn't entirely moral and I guess that's what that tag means, better safe than sorry I guess. This is a rewrite and I still do small edits on earlier chapters for grammar and style every now and then so let me know any critiques you have or even if you just think something is stupid. The whole point of writing this is so I can improve while (hopefully) entertaining some people. My update schedule can be erratic but I will finish this eventually. Eventually being in a few years... Magikind
Disclaimer: This is a low-fantasy, soft-sci-fi genre. In fact, it's a variety of genres, so don't be too put off by the tags Through several centuries of selective breeding, these beings, known as mages, have become part of the very foundations of society. However, some humans refused to change or adapt along with them. They believed in purity and refused to interbreed with magikind. Known as the manush, they were a rarity among society. Now, in the fifth millennia, the manush are thought to be extinct. With magikind ruling the world, a three-way war grips society between Eurasia, Afro-Australian Alliance and The Americas. In these uncertain times, a manush called Gin enters the Eurasian army. From there, our journey unfolds. A story of how mankind could realistically evolve while still pushing boundaries. PS.
