Battling Records of the Chosen One Chapter 44: A Flying Rainbow
Fiery-maned pig was an extremely aggressive animal with flaming fur all over its body, which was seemingly soft but, in fact, so ultimately hard that it could resist swords.
It was very irritable with no equals in strength. A pair of tusks in its large and fierce-looking mouth was enough to make the strongest in the fourth level of Martial Realm dare not to face its brunt.
Compared with the irascible fiery-maned pig, the snow-spot leopard and one-horned lizard were even qualified to be called mild and tame animals.
Bang!
In the courtyard, the fierce beast let out a miserable roar with its four feet planted firmly on the ground when Shia Zhi loosened the rattans tied on its body, making dust spinning in the air. Then it dashed fiercely to Lin Xun like a moving mountain with its body as big as that of a bull.
Its tusks were extremely sharp like a pair of swords, shiny and sparkly with bloodthirsty gloss.
Bang!
Seeing this, Lin Xun ducked away from it , concentrated the strength of his palm and fingers, then punched hard in the side of its neck. However, the pig simply shook its head as if nothing happened, then suddenly turned around with its tusks pointing at the stomach of Lin Xun like a sharp sword cutting through the air.
Lin Xun narrowed his eyes and dodged the attack with quick steps. But it indeed surprised him. Although he merely used his physical strength on that strike, it would be too much for a practitioner in the fourth level of Martial Realm.
However, to the fiery-maned pig, it was nothing.
Bang!
The fiery-maned pig was extremely arrogant and aggressive with its blood-red eyes fixed on Lin Xun , dashing around madly in the courtyard.
With a second of negligence, Lin Xun failed to escape and had to fight it recklessly. Suddenly, like being hit by a huge rock, he retreated uncontrollably with his blood and Qi rolling all over the body. What a great force!
Lin Xun’s face fell. His muscles were now all tightened like steel wire. Suddenly he moved swiftly like a leaping leopard, went forth with his palm and fingers curled, then grabbed one of the beast’s tusks with his hand. At the same time, he exerted force with his wrists, tightened the muscles in his arms, then lifted the beast!
The fiery-maned pig that weighed more than 500 kilograms was surprisingly lifted up!
Afterwards, Lin Xun moved his arm muscles as fast as fluctuating tide and concentrated all force on his wrists. Then with a sudden eruption, he shook his wrists violently. Bang!
The wild pig was shivering uncontrollably in the air with all
Its muscles and bones cracking. Then it was smashed onto the ground, leaving a big pit on it.
Lin Xun learnt this move from Shia Zhi. With just one strike, the strength vibrated and spread like tidewater, strong enough to break apart all the power of the opponent, or even shatter his internal organs into pieces.

However, the fiery-maned pig simply shook itself and stood up again with its blood-red eyes looking extremely aggressive before Lin Xun could ease up a little. It dashed to Lin Xun again, howling.
Lin Xun got surprised with his eyes wide open, wondering how the beast could be so strong.
He observed while he was ducking its attack, only to find the fiery-maned pig indeed suffered no harm at all and got more and more aggressive and brutal.
It rushed across the courtyard with its four hooves flying, leaving a puff of smoke. The floor was trod with clear cracks.
Without Shia Zhi controlling the situation, the mere dashing would ruin all Lin Xun’s cottages.
“You damn beast!”
Lin Xun got so irritated that all the blood was boiling within his body. There was no way that he would admit he was inferior to a pig. If so, how could he ever face Shia Zhi with dignity.
Bang!
Lin Xun stopped dodging at once, dashed forward with his arms stretching, and confronted the fiery-maned pig head on. His hands grabbed its tusks tightly, which surprisingly warded off the beast.
The fiery-maned pig howled crazily, clearly infuriated. Its four hooves exerted strength and its body twisted violently, trying to shake off Lin Xun’s arms.
All of a sudden, Lin Xun exerted the strength of his arms. Just like winding up a rope, he twisted off the tusks of the fiery-maned pig after sounds of cracking, which made it roar franticly with blood splashing.
Lin Xun was nearly thrown out.
Then, he lowered his body, locked the beast’s leg joint with his arms, then twisted hard. Crack! The beast’s joint on its right foreleg was ripped off, its body crashing down heavily right after.
This was not the end. Lin Xun seized the chance and removed all four leg joints of the fiery-maned pig in the same way with just a few breaths, making it lose all the support and scream miserably on the ground.
Not until now did Lin Xun stand up and pat his hands, exhaling the foul air in one breath.
Looking at the fiery-maned pig that was now completely conquered, although he was worn out, a sense of pride rose in his heart.
Months ago, he was just a thin and weak guy. But now, he was able to beat a fierce animal that equaled a practitioner in the fourth level of Martial Realm with mere physical power. How could Lin Xun not be excited about such a great change!
He owed what he had achieved to his diligent practice, and more importantly, all the help he got from Shia Zhi.
It was the insistent fight with Shia Zhi that built up Lin Xun’s body day by day. Now his muscles and bones were hard like iron and steel, full of bursting strength.
Meanwhile, with all the exercise these days, Lin Xun got the hang of body fighting and could easily gather the strength in every inch of his body!
“Even without spiritual force, it seems that I can still compete with a practitioner in the fourth level of Martial Realm using my muscle strength.”

Lin Xun thought for a while then shook his head.
Practitioners were different from fierce animals. A practitioner was armed with equipments, weapons and martial arts, above all, fighting wisdom and experience on with a beast could never compete with.
So, it must be much more difficult to defeat a practitioner in the fourth level of Martial Realm by physical strength.
Shia Zhi came over, patting lightly on the head of the fiery-maned pig with her white, delicate and small hand. The latter immediately fainted, as if it experienced a thunder shock.
“You are slightly better than the pig.” Shia Zhi said, looking at Lin Xun.
The pride in Lin Xun’s heart suddenly disappeared. He shrugged his shoulders, saying with a forced smile, “Can’t you just give me some credit?”
Shia Zhi frowned, thinking over for a while and said, “What for?”
Lin Xun was suddenly speechless.
……
When eating lunch, Lin Xun thought of a question and said, “Compared with spiritual force, physical strength is only suitable for hand to hand combat. Even though you build up your body to the limit, the power you obtain would not seem to be as strong as that of spiritual practice .”
Hearing this, Shia Zhi said nothing. Collimating her fingers as a knife, she swiped them slightly in the air.
A jet of air as sharp as a dagger swept out, cutting down a section of the willow branch more than thirty-three meters away.
Lin Xun suddenly fell into a daze.
However, Shia Zhi busied herself with food again.
It was a long while before Lin Xun opened his mouth again with a mixed expression, “How could you do that?”
Just now, he saw clearly that there wasn’t any spiritual power in her strike which completely burst out with accumulated force within her body!
In other words, this fact proved that physical strength could completely break the limit of close combat when it reached a certain high level.
According to what Lin Xun knew, one could only let out spiritual power and kill the enemy from a distance when he stepped into Gang Spiritual Realm even though he was a spiritual practitioner.
Compared to that, Shia Zhi’s capability to wield great strength across separated space only by physical power illustrated that she could never be weak.
Shia Zhi was doubtful and said, “It’s quite easy. I could do it as long as I can remember.”
Lin Xun wasn’t shocked this time. Instead, he simply believed it. Over these last few days, he found there were many unbelievable things in Shia Zhi who almost had no difference from some legendary talents born with knowledge. .
Otherwise, who would expect a little girl at the age of five or six to be equipped with such a horrifying fighting ability?
Lin Xun thought for a long time and finally gave up the intention to dig over it. He asked Shia Zhi the name of this fighting technique.
From his perspective, this kind of body fighting technique was just like a type of martial arts, which wouldn’t appear out of thin air..
Shia Zhi shook her head, saying, “It doesn’t have a name.”
Lin Xun forced a bitter smile and said, “Then let’s give it a name.”
Shia Zhi let out a word “oh” , absent-minded.
However, Lin Xun appeared to be very interested and pondered over it, finally saying, “How about the Martial Art of Relocating Bones?”
He had grasped many body fighting techniques these days like the Martial Art of Vibrating after a sudden shake, Killing by Twisting Two Arms, Locking Bones and so on.
None of these techniques were not simple, straight and quick, especially aiming at the most critical part of the enemy. Like the Martial Art of Relocating Bones, it stood out for being brutal and fierce.
Shia Zhi nodded her head, not really paying any attention. However, it didn’t hurt Lin Xun’s enthusiasm.
Eyes shining, he said happily, “This martial art remains to be improved. But I believe, with our combined wisdom, it will become better and better. Maybe its fame will shake the world and its name will stay in the history.”
Shia Zhi focused on eating as if she didn’t hear him.
Lin Xun kept talking for a long time. Having noticed that nobody was listening to him, he suddenly felt very bored and embarrassed, shaking his head and saying, “ Never mind. This is not urgent. Let’s talk about it some other day.”
At this time, Shia Zhi suddenly raised her head, looking at Lin Xun, and said, “ You said you were going to the Green-sun Tribe before?”
Lin Xun nodded and replied, “Yeah, if everything goes well, I will set out five days later.”
He said so because according to his calculation, it would be time to pass the second test of the Heaven-Accessing Place three days from now. It only made sense if he finished this before going to the Green Sun Tribe.
With these days of body refining, there was more confidence in Lin Xun’s heart and he had more prospect for the coming test.
Thinking of this, Lin Xun suddenly realized something, saying, “Why did you ask?”
“I don’t really want you to leave”, Shia Zhi said.
“It’s alright. I’ll come back soon.” Lin Xun felt a bit touched. Although the little girl never stopped humiliating him these days, she still seemed like to have a good conscience.
However, at the next moment, Shia Zhi shook her head and said, “I’m just wondering who will do the cooking when you are away.”
Lin Xun suddenly looked glazed, thinking, “That’s why she doesn’t want me to leave…”
He spitted out his words, “Don’t worry. I won’t let you starve to death even when I’m not here.”
Shia Zhi uttered a word “Oh”, looking quiet and calm, “Then it’s okay.”
And she continued to eat right after……
Meanwhile, from the deep mountains and forests more than ten kilometers away from Feiyun Village, a rainbow flew over with glaring light across the sky.

An Unwavering Craftsman
Given the hereditary nature of classes, everyone expects Damien—the child of two high-tiered adventurers—to be granted a high-tier combat class of his own. Expectations are betrayed, however, when Damien finds himself instead saddled with a crafting class of the lowest possible tier: [Neophyte Tailor]. Left practically crippled compared to those with better classes, Damien wants to avoid becoming a pawn in the machinations of the nobility, desiring only to grind his level in peace while wondering why the usual rules of inheritance were broken. Was it his desire to excel by his own effort, rather than an unearned blessing from a god? Did the Five take offence at his opinions on the unfairness of hereditary classes? Or maybe it was something to do with the alien voice that intruded on his ceremony? A voice that offers great power, and freedom from the tyranny of the Five, but that never names its price. This story is litRPG-lite. While the class someone possesses controls most of their lives, people don't get dinged at for every level they gain, nor can they see their status without undergoing a special ritual. The MC has no romantic interest. Crafting is merely a way to game the system, and doesn't feature heavily in the story, aside from a few descriptions on how they're carrying out the system abuse. There is, on one unfortunate occasion, maths. The pace is quick. This was a participant in the Spring 2022 writathon. (i.e. it was posted as-written at high speed. I may give it another editing pass in the future.)
