Chapter 603: 603
Time back two minutes ago,
The giant frog, whose breath was completely pierced through the jaw, stood with the weak young girl with many blood stains on her body . The impactful picture made Wang De several people unable to return for a long time .
“Cough, cough . “
It was still the injured shield awakener who coughed up blood before waking everyone up .
Wang De called the medical forces of the 13th Bureau, but was not too worried . With the vitality of their awakened people, as long as they were not dying, they could be rescued .
And all this comes down to the girl in front of her .
Apart from thanking them, they were also curious, where did such a fierce man come from?
Why has never heard of this master?
The 20-year-old woman in the four-person team quickly became acquainted with Uemiya Bell .
Uemiya Bell learned a lot from them about the awakening circle, the 13th game, and the black seam .
“Black seam?”
“Yes, according to scientists’ analysis, it is an unstable space crack that connects another world . The appearance of black slits is irregular and most of them last only a short time, but there are often various strange beasts from the black slit . Came across .
And our 13 bureaus are the departments that deal with this type of incident .
Originally, black seams were not common, but in recent months, the frequency of black seams seems to be getting higher and higher . “
The woman wiping her sword sighed .
They are no longer weak in the awakening circle . Captain Wang De is even a master, but in the face of strange animals, most of the time they are still weak .
Just like today, a triple giant frog almost killed them .
She talked about some common sense in the circle of awakenings, and she also knew that Shanggong Ling was completely new in their circle . I was afraid that even the other awakenings had not dealt with much .

She was a little curious, “Xiao Ling, how long have you been awake? Uh, if you don’t want to, you can not answer . “
Uemiya bell stretched out a finger .
She has realized that she seems to be improving a bit faster?
These seniors are really . . . so ordinary .
In order not to be appalling, and to not attack these seniors, Shang Gongling plans to say he has been awake for a month .
However, the words have not yet been said,
The woman with two swords marveled, “In one year, you awakened twice in one year to reach the dual power, and you also have the power to slay the triple beast . . .
Xiao Ling, you are a real genius! “
Uemiya Bell looked at the four people with amazement, a little dazed .
Can we have dual strength in one year?
How is it different from the cultivator world you imagine?
She asked carefully, “Sister Lin, how long have you been awake?”
The eyes of the women in Shuangjian flashed memories, “I first awakened more than two years ago, and later joined the 13 games . After training for a period of time, I began to perform the task . About nine months ago, in a dangerous task , I had two teammates killed by a strange beast . At that time, grief and despair made me wake up again and stepped into the second place . “
“I am one of the faster ones . Among the 13 innings, there were many who awakened five or six years ago . They still remain at the top, and there are more non-official awakeners .
And like our captain, I awakened three times, which is rare in the 13 games, and belongs to the master class . “
Speaking of these swords, the woman suddenly felt a little awkward .
The girl in front of me has only awakened for a year, but she is stronger than the captain, and she is a well-deserved master!
However, as a senior, the Swordswoman still has something to say, “Although Xiao Ling, you are a genius, but you must not be proud and complacent . As far as I know, in our Anhu branch, there is a senior who has awakened within a year . Three times, now that senior is a giant . “

Uemiya Bell nodded blankly .
Is that right?
But I just woke up today .
Even the master said that my talent was average .
and also,
Isn’t it possible to break through just by practicing?
Isn’t this simple and commonplace?
Although Uemiya Bell is simple, she is keenly aware that things are not simple .
She may be different from these people .
She didn’t say the cultivation method, but just one sentence at a time, asking the “common sense” of the awakening circle .
until……
With a bang, the tall building in a building not far away collapsed, waking everyone up .
“Why, how fat ?!”
Wang De’s teeth trembled .
It wasn’t just the building that collapsed, but he felt a sense of terror, rising from the ruins of the collapsed building .
“Black, black seams have appeared again!”
Uemiya Suzu also noticed that her face was a little pale .
The intensity of the breath, similar to that of the giant wolf in the morning, is undoubtedly fivefold .
However, more than one!
The sound of gurgling sounded .
In front of a few people,
A huge scorpion with a length of three or four meters, wrapped in black carapace, opened the rubble and crawled out . The tail with a stinger fluttered and fluttered, exuding a cold light .
Wang Deman looked desperate, “Scorpions, poisonous, are very difficult to get around!”
Of course, even changing to an ordinary, awakening quintet is enough to destroy them .
There is no difference in thinking about it that way .
Several giant scorpions were approaching, and the pressure of the breath was getting heavier . Wang De, who picked up the spear, held it tightly .
He opened the communicator equipped in the 13th inning, and hissed loudly:
“S-level disaster, the construction site in Chaoxia District is an s-level disaster, and you need to dispatch the army as soon as possible! Repeat again, you need to dispatch the army as soon as possible!”
Yes,
Looking at it, there are more than eight heads and five giant scorpions . Under the collapsed building, there may be unknown threats . To this extent, it can only be solved unless the giants in the 13th game are dispatched .
However, with the exception of the General Administration of the People’s Republic of China and a few special locations, the giants were hardly seen on weekdays . It was also helpless to use heavy fire to kill them .
just,
If the giant scorpion only stays on the construction site, it can be solved at a small cost . If the giant scorpion rushes into the downtown area before the army arrives, then . . .
Wang De dare not imagine .
By then, not only will the casualties be heavy, I am afraid that the existence of strange beasts and black seams will also be hidden .
“You, to this day, we can only fight desperately . “
The shadow flickered, and the tail with a stinger flicked like a whip .
When Wang De reacted, the sharp stinger almost reached his face, and the threat of death was shrouded in terror .
He just realized that even the desperate fight was an extravagant hope .
It’s a pity that the young girl that day will also die here .
suddenly,
嗞 ——
A red light beam swept over, and the tail of the giant scorpion was cut open, and there was still hot smoke at the fracture .
A huge figure appeared in front of him, punching out .
The giant scorpion carapace shattered, and the whole body flew out for dozens of meters .
With one punch, the horror is like . . .
Wang De’s eyes widened, and he looked at the strong man in front of him, showing surprise, “Deputy and Deputy Director, what are you doing here!”

Sword System Academia
2/17 NOTICE: I'm putting this on hiatus, possibly permanently. I didn't want to spam with an "update chapter", so hopefully here and in the story blurb will get enough eyeballs. There are a couple reasons for ending SSA for now. 1) I wrote the next chapter but wasn't happy with it. I've been less and less satisfied with SSA's quality the more I thought about it. Part of the reason is... 2) I am seriously thinking about trying to publish some novels to help pay the bills, since I don't have my other source of income anymore. I have never asked for anything from SSA readers, no money, not even a review or rating. SSA is written for fun to amuse myself, primarily, and I would kind of feel bad actually charging someone money for something as unserious as that. I don't think it is good enough to ask anything in return. To use an analogy from music, SSA is more like a jam session with a bunch of friends. You're just chiling and having fun playing some music. I mean, if you are Mozart or even Eminem, your jam session is good enough to sell, but for an amateur beginner like myself, haha, no. If I want to publish something, I feel like I need to go the proper route of practice and rehearsals, which might be more similar to a classical concert performance. With SSA, I work from worldbuilding notes and a loose outline, but what you are essentially getting is the first draft with lots of so-called pantsing. Pushing out a web novel like this also means it is very difficult to go back and improve things without breaking everything else downstream. I wanted to try this "jamming" approach, as it was a good way to teach me about another aspect of writing, but to move forward, I think I need to hone my "classical" techniques, which emphasize rewriting, or at least, revising outlines. 3) While I intend to try to make $$$, my actual current goal is to "get gud". I've spent a lot of time recently trying to understand the self-publishing industry, and I'm pretty sure I can make some money by using short-term strategies with my current amateur skill level. But I've seen too many authors come and go/burnout, and really, the only way that I think I can enjoy writing and still make money on a long-term basis is to become a better writer. And the next step for me, which I haven't done much before, is to spend more time on rewriting and outlines. That is pretty much antithetical to the way SSA is developing. I've always been kind of 20/80 plotting/pantsing, but I want to spend a lot more time outlining before I even start writing. SSA jam sessions don't really fit my goal anymore. If you're curious about what's next, read on... Among other regrets, I regret not finishing SSA. It's the first story I've dropped, but then again, it's the first web novel I've attempted, so I suppose that's not a surprise. I don't think traditional web novel formats suit me that well. The whole SSA story I had loosely planned (beyond a first book or major arc) is way too large as well. Big story = good for neverending webnovel with Patreons, bad for penniless and fickle writer like me. I am currently outlining a complete trilogy to another story in great detail. I want the story to end concisely, and I also want the chance to really spend a lot of time on the full outline to spot pacing problems, character issues, lost themes, and so on. I'll still share this story on RR. What I intend to do is finish book 1, flash-publish the whole thing here for a few weeks, then publish on the big Zon. Repeat for books 2 and 3. The upcoming story will be about crafting heroes. The backdrop is an isekai-like setting, where elves will summon humans to their world as heroes, but the whole hero crafting business is still in its infancy. The elven mage researchers are figuring out how to imbue heroes with power, while the heroes are trying to figure out how to use the powers that they gain. Humans are the best hero templates because they are blank and have no intrinsic magic. Or at least that what the elves thought. The human MC has his own secrets... There will be some similarities with litrpgs, but I would call it more a progression fantasy or gamelit story. For example, the stats are very low, at least initially. Say we have a stat called Str. Going from Str = 1 to Str = 2 is a huge deal. Also, going from Dex = 0 to Dex = 1 is an even bigger deal. I guess you could call it a "low-stat litrpg", haha. Also, the heroes won't be gaining stats simply by killing things or leveling up. You can't increase stats arbitrarily, either. There will be rules to how stats can increase, and how they work with each other. The elven mages will be figuring out these rules in order to craft stronger and stronger heroes. Some inspiration will be from cultivation magic systems, but there won't be overt cultivation, at least for now. A theme I really want to explore is the idea of interactions. That includes things like hero crafter vs hero, tactics vs strategy, skill synergies, racial interactions (dwarves, elves, etc), and son. Yeah, so hero crafting. I'm super excited about this project and venturing into publishing. If you want to check out the upcoming story, you can follow my RR author profile to see when it drops here. Finally... THANK YOU TO EVERYONE! I'm very sorry that SSA is stopping, but I hope at least some of you will find the next story at least as enjoyable, if not more. Thanks to all the readers who gave SSA a shot. Big hug or solid fistbump to all of you, whichever you prefer! I hope this message is not a downer but an upper, because I am psyched!! -purlcray -------------- BLURB: Talen, youngest Master of the Koroi, makes his way to the Empire's capital to salvage his clan's fate. But the bustling city has few opportunities for the traditionalist. For the old sword clans are fading. With the rise of alchemy, gold can purchase strength that ordinarily took years of training to cultivate. Sword artists, once rare and accomplished, are quickly growing in number, especially among the wealthy noble class. Even with such alchemy, though, no one has advanced to the rank of Grandmaster in countless years. Talen's true dream is to walk the path of a sword artist to the very end while fulfilling his clan duties. And then the Swordgeists return, fabled founders of all sword arts, gods who had touched the world long ago and vanished. These myths turned into reality warn of a coming threat. Alongside this warning, they issue an invitation to the Sword System Academy, a path to power beyond the mortal realm. But first, they will hold an entrance exam... Story notes:Sword System Academia blends elements of western and asian fantasy such as xianxia and litrpg. I took parts from different genres I enjoyed and twisted them into my own creation. There will be an explicit system, both of the litrpg kind and the hard(ish) magic kind, but it is embedded within an academic structure that will develop over the course of the story. This is my attempt to design a unique type of system, the System Academia.
