“Demon…”

Smiling happily, the English teacher asked, “Are you talking about my physique, Student Chen Yu?”

“Hah…” Sighing, Chen Yu entered the classroom and sat on the sole “treasured seat . ” He then asked, “Aren’t you guys going a little too far?”

“This is the principal’s instruction . In order to test your true standard, we must not let other students disturb you . ”

“You guys are afraid that I’ll cheat, right?” Chen Yu stated, exposing the true meaning of his English teacher’s words .

“Mhm,” the English teacher admitted without hesitation .

Chen Yu: “…”

“The first test is English . I’ll be your invigilator,” the English teacher said . She then took a look at her wristwatch and continued, “There’s still half an hour until the test . It’s a little early, so you can sleep for now, Student Chen Yu . ”

“And then oversleep and miss the test?”

“That would be for the best,” the English teacher said, her lips curling up into a wide smile .

The principal had previously declared that whichever subject Chen Yu scored the lowest in, the teacher responsible for teaching him the said subject would receive a bonus!

Hence, for her, it would be for the best if Chen Yu slept straight through his English test and scored a zero .

“Sorry to disappoint you, but I won’t be sleeping, Teacher,” Chen Yu said, smiling . He then set down his bag and pulled out his pen and paper . After readying his exam utensils, he quietly waited for the start of the test .

Having studied arduously for the past half-month, he was confident he could score within his class’s top 25 if he fully utilized the knowledge he learned .

Regardless of the situation he was put in, he would not be afraid! Instead, he would smile while facing it!

“Student Chen Yu, I need to inspect your utensils,” the English teacher said before she snatched up Chen Yu’s pen and paper and carefully inspected them .

“I can guarantee that there are no cheat sheets . You can check them all you want . ”

“Mhm… There are indeed none…” Slightly disappointed, the English teacher returned Chen Yu’s utensils .

“Right . ” Suddenly thinking of something, Chen Yu asked, “Teacher, where are my test papers? Isn’t there only half an hour left?”

“Ah!” Exaggeratedly smacking her thigh, the English teacher said, “I forgot to bring them!”

“Crap!” Enraged, Chen Yu bellowed, “Are you screwing with me?! If I only noticed the missing test papers after the exam started, what’s going to happen to my listening questions?!”

“I’ll go grab them right away . ”

Chen Yu: “…”

After the English teacher left, Chen Yu’s heart gradually filled with despair as he sat inside the empty classroom .

At this point, he could faintly sense that Sixth High’s bastard teachers were going to toy with him until he was senseless .

Ten minutes later, Chen Yu’s English teacher returned with his test papers .

Another fifteen minutes later, the English test officially began .

After opening his test papers, Chen Yu first wrote his name at the top of the first page . He then patiently waited for the listening questions to start .

“Oooh la la! Pzz… Pzz…”

Suddenly, a fuzzy voice speaking indiscernible English echoed throughout the classroom .

Chen Yu: “…”

“Oh, heavens . ” Clapping her hands, the English teacher said, “The PA system in this classroom is actually broken . ”

In this situation, Chen Yu’s hand and the pen he gripped started trembling slightly .

Just how terrible did a high school need to be in order to utilize such despicable measures?

“Pzz… Pzz…”

“Pzz… *&##&&%…”

“Fa… dun… dun…”

The noise continued .

After stabilizing his crumbling spirit, Chen Yu ignored the listening questions and started answering the written part of the examination .

For Chen Yu, it wouldn’t affect him much if he missed out on the listening questions’ marks . After all, he had only been studying books during this period . His listening ability was still sorely lacking . So long as he answered well in the written examination, he would have no problems overtaking Class 2’s “garbage . ”

Since Chen Yu had started answering questions, the English teacher walked up to his side without hesitation . She then stared at him without blinking .

After answering a few questions, Chen Yu started feeling uncomfortable under her fixed gaze . “Teacher, can you not look at me like that?”

“You’re the only examinee inside this classroom . Who should I look at if not you?”

“But you can’t just look at me constantly . ”

“You answer your questions . Why bother with what I’m doing?”

“…Fine . ”

Helpless, Chen Yu lowered his head and focused his attention on his test papers .

Scribble… Scribble…

As Chen Yu rapidly filled in the blanks of his test paper, the English teacher’s complexion grew increasingly grim .

She knew very clearly what kind of grades Chen Yu originally got . His grades were at the very bottom of his class . He was someone that didn’t even know how many letters there were in the English alphabet .

Now, however, no matter how she looked at Chen Yu’s answers, they did not look like the answers of someone with barely any English knowledge . Aside from a few difficult questions, Chen Yu had basically answered every other question correctly!

My bonus…

Suddenly feeling slightly anxious, the English teacher pointed at one of the answer spaces on the test paper and said, “Student Chen Yu, you answered this incorrectly!”

“What are you doing?” Chen Yu asked as he looked up skeptically .

“I’m helping you . ”

“Aren’t you an invigilator?!”

“It’s fine . There’s just the two of us here . If neither you nor I say a word, nobody will find out . ”

“There’s a surveillance camera there!” Chen Yu said as he pointed at the camera above the blackboard .

“I’ll block it for you! Hurry up and fix your answer . ”

“Teacher…” Tightening his grip on his ballpoint pen, Chen Yu shrugged and said, “Do you think I will believe you? Are you really that kind to help me correct an answer?”

“Aren’t I pretty?”

“What does being pretty have to do with this?! Is your brain functioning properly?!” Pushing the English teacher away, Chen Yu said, “I’ve seen through you already! You’re clearly trying to interrupt my examination! Don’t touch me! If you want me to acknowledge our bet, mustn’t you first play fairly?!”

“That’s right . Your words are very much correct . ”

“Then, stop talking to me, OK?”

“Alright . Teacher will stop talking to you . ”

“…”

“I won’t speak anymore . ”

“…”

“Student Chen Yu, answer your questions properly . ”

“Why are you still speaking?!”

Two hours later, Sixth High’s monthly English test finally came to an end . Holding Chen Yu’s test papers, Chen Yu’s English teacher dejectedly left the classroom .

“Phew…”

Breathing out a sigh of relief, Chen Yu leaned back in his chair tiredly .

Today, he finally understood the saying of “one woman was equivalent to 500 ducks . ”

Once he started correctly answering his test, his English teacher had never once stopped “buzzing” by his ears, speaking all sorts of nonsense to affect his thinking process .

Fortunately, his will was firm, and he remained unaffected as he answered every question in the test .

This won’t do! I must have a proper talk with the principal! Otherwise, how am I supposed to take the rest of my tests?!

Chen Yu stood up, walked out of the test venue, and dashed toward the principal’s office, located on the school building’s top floor .

Bang! Bang! Bang!

“Please enter . ”

Pushing apart the redwood doors, Chen Yu stalked into the principal’s office after gaining permission .

“Oh? It’s you, Student Chen Yu . How are your tests coming along? Are you able to adequately exhibit your knowledge?” Seeing that it was Chen Yu, Principal Pang smiled as he stood up from his seat .

“Principal, don’t you think our bet needs to be fair?” Chen Yu asked, going straight into the point . “You’re using all sorts of means to make me get a bad grade . I’m not satisfied with this . At this rate, even if I lose our bet, I won’t be willing to learn sports . ”

“Uh… What happened?”

“I’m sure you know what exactly happened . I have two conditions . One, give me whatever marks I deserve . Two, do not let the test invigilators interrupt my test! Otherwise, our bet is off!”

After saying so, Chen Yu left the office without giving Principal Pang an opportunity to explain himself .

“This school is absolute garbage! Just hurry up and dissolve it!”

Chen Yu muttered curses while he made his way back to the test venue .

However, shortly after he sat back on his seat, he “exploded” once more .

“***! Where’s my pen?! Who stole my pen?!

“Bastards!!!”
