The Legendary Rebuilding of a World by a Realist Demon King Chapter 3
The Demon King’s Secretary
The pale limbs of a woman slipped out from the pot.
She was naked. Just as she was born.
I wasn’t sure where to look, but the Goddess said, ‘A gentleman should not stare,’ and so I looked away.
The sounds of rustling could be heard behind me. The Goddess had prepared clothes and the secretary was thrusting her arms through the sleeves.
“Woah, you have bigger breasts than me.”
I heard.
After a while, they said that I could turn around, and so I did.
There was a girl in a maid outfit.
She appeared to be 15 or 16.
She had beautiful silver hair that was tied up.
It was strange for someone that was only just born to have tied up hair, but when you think about it, it was really more strange for someone to be born and not be a baby.
I suppose this was all the grace of the Goddess.
Or so I thought, but the Goddess denied this.
“It is because of this Klein bottle that’s been set in this Demon King Castle. These ‘bottles’ are inside of every Demon King’s castle, and they allow you to summon monsters like this with the right ingredients and magic.”
“Monsters?”
I looked at the maid.
“Yes, this one is a demon. See, there is a tail coming out of her back. And was there not a mark on her thigh?”
“I was not staring very hard.”
“A true gentleman. Do you want to see the mark?”
“I wouldn’t mind.”
I said jokingly.
It really was a joke. This was a world where Goddesses existed, and I could use powerful magic. And I was now used to the idea of monsters and demons. But this one didn’t seem to understand jokes.

“Yes, master. I will show you the mark so you can confirm that I am a demon.”
She raised the side of her skirt.
There really was a magic rune that shone there.
I glanced briefly.
“That’s enough…”
And told her to stop.
She bowed. Apparently, she would listen to any order I gave her. She would probably die if I jokingly asked her to. I might have to be careful about what I say while drinking.
With that decided, I started to question her. I could have just asked the Goddess, but this maid was supposed to be an intelligent secretary type. And I wanted to rely on her as soon as possible.
“So, you over there.”
“Are you referring to me?”
“Yes. …Ahh, perhaps this is confusing.”
“Yes, indeed. Your subordinates will only increase from here. I would be grateful for a proper name.”
“Then you will be called Eve.”
“Eve?”
“Do you not like it?”
“No, but, what does it mean?”
“There is another world called ‘Earth’ that I once researched. It is a name that appears in one of the religions of that place. She was said to be the first woman.”
“I understand. And I am the first person that you created, and so you have given me that name.”
To be precise, the Goddess created her, but it did involve my hair. And she was my first minion, so there was some fondness there.
“Well, there it is. Now that you have a name, let’s get to work.”
“Yes.”
Eve bowed reverently.
“The first thing I would like to know is your abilities. What can you do, Eve?”
“I am a secretary. I may not be the best suited for combat, but I am second to none in terms of knowledge.”

“A walking database perhaps?”
“A serving database, if you please. Aside from my knowledge, I am confident in my abilities as a maid.”
“So you can take care of the household affairs. That will be useful here. However, your knowledge is more important now. Hmm, you did say that you were ill-equipped for combat, but is it possible for me to summon monsters from the pot that are well suited?”
“It is possible. If you have the ingredients and magic.”
“Well, we should do that then.”
“I would advise you to. This castle is understaffed.”
“There was a category called ‘Rarity.’ The Goddess was very excited when she saw yours.”
The Goddess herself replied to this.
“Oh, that. Each summoned monster is rated by how rare they are.
Starting at the top:
Bronze Rare ☆
Silver Rare ☆☆
Gold Rare ☆☆☆
Mithril Rare ☆☆☆☆
Legend Rare ☆☆☆☆☆
“That’s how it is.”
“That is amazing. Eve is the highest rank.”
“Yes, yes. Even a Goddess will get excited if they create a Legend Rare.”
“I see. I understand now. Summoned monsters have levels of rarity. And the rarer ones are stronger.”
“Exactly.”
The Goddess said with a smile.
“It is very impressive for you to get a Legend on your first try. You really were born to be the hero.”
“I think that should be ‘villain.’ I am a Demon King after all.”
“That’s true. Then become the best villain.”
The Goddess chuckled and finally said:
“Well, I better be off now. You can hear the rest from that secretary over there. And do your best to expand this castle.”
“I am reluctant to see you leave, but I will do that. That being said, will we never meet again?”
“Oh, of course not. I’m sure we’ll meet after every milestone.”
“I understand. Well, goodbye for now then.”
“Hm? What is with the hand?”
“This is a greeting from my old world. A handshake. I don’t know if it is common here.”
“Oh, a handshake. They do that here too. But not in the realm of gods.”
Still, she accepted my hand. It was a soft, feminine hand.
“Goodbye then. I have faith that you will become the Great Demon King.”
“I will try.”
She said ‘bye-bye’ as space began to distort, and she vanished.
A Goddess who had suddenly appeared and just as suddenly vanished.
It seemed very like her to come and go like that. She said that we would meet again, and I did not feel the least bit sad to see her leave.
Now that she was gone, I looked towards the maid again.
“Alright, let’s start strategizing. I saw that aside from your knowledge, you also had skills for military strategy and politics.”
“Why of course, master. You have a very discerning eye.”
She smiled in agreement, but then added that there was one thing that needed to be done before we began.
She needed to serve her master a cup of tea.
The self-respecting maid in her could not allow a meeting to begin without tea.
This was very annoying, but I allowed it. As I did want to see what the tea in this world tasted like.

The Fiasco
When you’ve seen as many catastrophes as I have, “disaster” becomes a relative term. Us perpetual kidnap victims get to hang our heads while waiting for the tights-wearing crowd to arrive. I'm extra special. Why? Because my only real power is being kept alive by constantly attracting insane events. That's me. Adam. The wrong guy in the wrong place, every single time. Sit back, grab your drink or drug of choice, and follow along as I hit some of the highlights. We'll start with Ted, a reporter with a scheme of petty revenge. We'll meet Alice, a psychopath with personality problems whose out to make babies or disembowel me. I'm never sure. We'll watch me fail at being a glorified field trip supervisor for a powered collage. There's a whole host of other heroes and villains along the way. At the end of this story about me and those suffering my presence, I'll end the world. Because that's the logical last step. Book 1 – The Fiasco in News (Complete, Cover) Book 2 – The Fiasco in School (Complete) Book 3 – The Fiasco in an Apocalypse (Incomplete, WIP)
8 350A Gray and Grey world
What if adventurers are not as they seemed. In the tales of old, adventurers were the ones who vanquished the demons and beasts from the land, the ones who sealed the great evil away, the ones who saved the world from destruction and kept peace within the lands. But, what if that wasn't really what happened? What if adventurers are selfish, narcissicistic, and- depending on who you ask- evil. What if they weren't the paragons of good that their history books show. As they say, it is the victors that write history. In this world, this broken world, the true nature of adventurers will be told, unveiled to the masses. In this world, where history has yet to be written, the true heroes will be shown. Or- at least, that's what should've happened. But then again- heroes, villains-... everything is relative to the one who sees it. Everything changes depending on who's perspective... Perhaps the heroes of this story- may not be the heroes that you might think. Author : Hello everyone! I just want you all to know that this is a first time story. I'm the one who's doing the draft, editing, proofreading and revisioning!
