Chapter 57
Translator: Seven
Editor: Ana_Banana
[Corpse Explosion]
–>Requirements: Emissary of the Underworld
–>Level: Level 30 or higher
–>Effect:
After engraving a corpse, if you clasp your hands together and chant the spell name, the body will explode .
‘This was Johann Georg’s 18th skill . ’
In commemoration for achieving level 30, he had received a catalogue reward which turned out to be the skill Corpse Explosion . When he saw the skill, Kim Woo-jin couldn’t help but think of the King of Undead .
Corpse Explosion had been one of the skills the King of Undead used the most . After acquiring it, he used it liberally like a child who’d been given a box of firecrackers .
Of course, the skill’s power was not weak .
‘I almost died many times because of this . ’
Even Kim Woo-jin had almost been killed by the King of Undead with the use of this skill . Thanks to the experience he had facing such a horrible power, Kim Woo-jin was well aware of the utility of the skill .
He knew that it was much more powerful to use the corpse explosion as a landmine rather than use them to simply explode near the target .
[The Needle Snake has been afflicted with Blood Poison . ]
In addition, they had put sharp debris using the Blood Weapon and Bone Sword skills on the bodies to use them like a shrapnel grenade .
Shaaa!
Under such a vicious attack, the Needle Snake’s skin which boasted extreme toughness, began to bleed . But it wasn’t just that the snake had been fatally wounded .
Kya!
The Needle Snake found that it couldn’t move away .
Kya!
The snake that had been fiercely escaping just a moment ago was now writhing on the ground, its mouth open in a threatening gesture .
It could never have imagined that the bodies it had been travelling on could explode as if it was on a minefield .
‘Just as I expected . ’
Of course, the Needle Snake had seen the skeleton and had decided to destroy it . It was very clever and it remembered seeing a similar skeleton with the prey who injured it . However it wasn’t smart enough to realize that the bodies on the ground were a trap .

Tuck!
Kim Woo-jin slowly walked to the snake which then opened its mouth and hissed at him threateningly .
But Woo-jin didn’t intend to launch an attack, he didn’t need to .
[The Needle Snake has been afflicted with Blood Poison . ]
[The Needle Snake’s health has reduced . ]
[The Needle Snake’s resistance has been reduced . ]
‘It’s started . ’
Because the time was on his side .
As more time passed, the health of the snake would keep decreasing and the blood poison would eat up it’s health faster .
Kya!
However, the current situation was very volatile and it would be dumb to just sit and wait for it to die . Of course, it would be equally as stupid to just let it go .
This was why Kim Woo-jin pretended to attack it by moving around it .
Kya!
This forced the Needle Snake to also move in response, to keep him in its sights .
But every time it moved, its stamina and concentration were consumed .
Boom!
At that moment, the Skeleton Soldiers began arriving one by one and also surrounded the snake .
Shaa!!
The Needle Snake which was focused on Kim Woo-jin was forced to split its attention even more .
Of course, the Skeleton Soldiers followed Kim Woo-jin’s actions and only made the snake move around instead of attacking it .
They threw weapons to force the snake to dodge, sometimes throwing even nearby rocks of pieces of red bamboo at their feet .
[The Needle Snake’s health has greatly reduced . ]
[The Needle Snake’s resistance has been greatly reduced . ]
As time passed, the Needle Snake became noticeably weaker . However, Kim Woo-jin was still wary . Like a string of tension wrapped around his heart .
[You have slain the Needle Snake . ]
Soon, the notification announcing the death of the snake was heard . It was a reminder that it had ended . But Kim Woo-jin was still nervous .
[The Needle Snake has been slain . ]
On the ninth day since entering the dungeon, a notification was issued, informing the players of the end of the quest .
This was a moment that would be remembered in history . The first time a Needle Snake was successfully hunted .

[You’ve gained the achievement “First Needle Snake Hunter” . ]
[You’ve gained the achievement “Needle Snake Hunter” . ]
Naturally such a historic event came with sweet rewards .
[First Needle Snake Hunter]
–>Rarity: Unique
–>Effect: All stats +20
[Needle Snake Hunter]
–>Rarity: Rare
–>Effect: All stats +3
It was a really sweet reward .
[The Emissary of the Underworld admires your abilities . ]
[The Emissary of the Underworld has conveyed some power to you . ]
[The rank of the Blood Poison skill has increased by one . ]
[A Skill Stone(C) has been awarded . ]
Notifications came repeatedly . It was a joyous moment .
However in the face of the notifications, Kim Woo-jin didn’t express any joy, rather he was moving around busily .
Kim Woo-jin approached the corpse of the Needle Snake and began cutting into the skin just behind its head, around the Yellow Dragon’s Spirit Orb .
The skeletons also began to move .
Meanwhile .
“Someone hunted the needle snake?”
“Who the hell?”
The players who had been watching from far away began to move .
“This is the place! The Needle Snake is over there!”
Everyone started to approach the scene of the great battle
‘Who is it?’
‘I have to see who it is . ’
Some had questions or appreciation for the players who hunted the Needle Snake, others had opposite intentions .
‘I can’t go out of the dungeon without any harvest . ’
‘I have to take a piece of the Needle Snake’s skin . ’
‘If you’re smart, then you always aim to be the oriole . ’
The players approached like a pack of hyena’s aiming to steal the prey of others .
Most of the players were those with bad intentions . Even those who approached in good faith were inwardly hoping for an opportunity to plunder .
But this was to be expected .
Nothing was off limits in the dungeon .
Killing a successful hunter and stealing their prey was something that happened frequently .
The number of people who went missing in dungeons was uncountable .
“Stop . ”
Lee Jin-ah said as he appeared in front of the crowd who were running toward the Needle Snake .
“Eh!”
“Wha-, what the?”
Those who were running didn’t have a choice but to stop and the situation became tense . Even if this was one of the players who defeated the Needle Snake, even a lion couldn’t fight against an entire herd .
However it was clear that players usually wouldn’t do something they didn’t have a slight amount of confidence in .
“I’m just going to watch huh? Let us through to see how it’s going . ”
One person shamelessly stepped forward and spoke to Lee Jin-ah confidently .
“You don’t speak korean?”
He spat the words and approached closer to Lee Jin-ah .
“Should I speak English? Oh, what was it in English again?”
His goal was to simply narrow the distance to Lee Jin-ah and then quickly dash past him .
“Can any of you speak english?”
Lee Jin-ah still didn’t respond, instead he disappeared and reappeared with his fist embedded in that player’s face .
Paak!
With a gut wrenching sound, the player’s body fell backward, unmoving .
Gulp!
As the players watched this scene they couldn’t help but gulp slightly in fear .
‘Oh my God . ’
‘This guy is a monster . ’
The players who’d successfully entered the 2nd Floor found themselves unable to measure the power Lee Jin-ah had shown .
In fact, in the opinions of most players, Lee Jin-ah’s abilities made him quite the monster .
Out of all the players recruited by Oh Se-chan, Lee Jin-ah was the one who had the best talent . He was among the few players who completely overwhelmed everyone around their own level .
And he wasn’t the only opponent that these players had to face .
Boom!
From behind Lee Jin-ah, black skeletons began appearing, one by one .
‘Skeleton Soldier skill? Necromancer?’
‘A necromancer helped fight the Needle Snake? What is he like?’
With the appearance of the rare skeletons, the player became even more hesitant to move forward . In fact, the situation had already come to an end . Because the players knew they wouldn’t be able to get anything by fighting, moreover they didn’t know if there were any more players behind the two they knew of .
So at that moment, there was only one thing they could do .
‘Damn, let’s just leave the dungeon . ’
‘I’ll remember your face . ’
Some of them decided to fight outside of the dungeon .
And with that, the dungeon was cleared .

Join Dan in his adventures through this fantasy world! This is an offshoot to my other series, Bunnymancer. Past that though we will get into a new plotline, though if you've already read through bunnymancer I would suggest starting at chapter 7 when reading through this. This is a book within the Completionist Chronicles Universe. I was given permission to make this as long as I did not publish it as an official Mountain Dale Press work or sell it for money.
