Chapter 40
Nero didn’t even turn around . She was more concerned with the spider coming towards them . Following Jana’s teachings . Nero started to conjure a ball of light, but she tried to imagine it as an arrow since she was an archer of light, you should succeed, right? It was just like that . It was even easier to create an arrow .
Jana’s mouth fell open when she saw this . ‘How did she manage to create an arrow so fast and with such property?’
“Tsk! What do you want Emily?” Breno made a popping sound with his tongue when he saw the girl with red hair tied, who had reached the second floor of the dungeon .
Nero was surprised to hear the way that Breno, who is always quiet and discreet to speak . But she did not lose focus and launched the arrow of light at the spider .
How laughable . The spider thought of jumping to dodge, but would that spider be faster than an arrow made of light?
“Swoosh!”
Even the group of five with the redhead; Emily being the leader, their jaws dropped when they saw a girl with perfect curves and pink wings on her back, using an arrow of light to attack .

‘Very good . ‘ Nero thought pleased with herself .
“Who is this girl?” Emily murmured .
Nero just took a look at the girl who just murmured . Seeing that they were all stunned on the spot . She was unsure whether to use loot as usual or to use the card . After thinking, she decided to keep it in the inventory and use it to loot afterward .
Approaching the spider, though disgusted, she put her hand on the spider and placed it in the Hunter Card inventory .

“Why did she do it?” A man with light skin and short dark messy hair, in Emily’s group, asked with doubt .
Choko, Jana, Jair, and Breno understood why she did this, but the group that arrived was not understanding . Of course, none of Choko’s group would say the reason .
“I do not know either . ” Emily also didn’t understand .
Nero returned to Choko’s side and the rest .
“They are?” Nero asked Choko . She listened and realized that Breno has a disagreement with this girl named Emily .
“Hrm, they were both engaged . . . ” Choko sighed .
“I understand,” Nero asked no more . She realized that she could touch on a delicate subject that had nothing to do with her . Instead of fueling her curiosity, Nero preferred not to meddle where she is not called .
“Say what do you want?” Breno said nonchalantly: “Didn’t you have something to say?”
“Humph! I have nothing to say to a loser like you . Only, I was surprised to see someone as weak as you on the second floor of the Dungeon . ” She scoffed .
“Emily, don’t waste your time with these “types” of people . ” Said the messy dark-haired boy .
“Fabio is right, Emily . He is not worth your time . ” Said a girl with blond hair and full breasts looking like she was going to explode at any moment .
‘It must be ridiculously heavy and uncomfortable to have breasts that size . . . ‘ Nero looked at her own breasts and nodded, satisfied with her size and shape .
“Hahaha . That’s right, spit on the plate you ate . ” Jana disdained .
“W . . . What do you mean, Jana?” Emily gets nervous . She gives Jana a meaningful look as if she doesn’t want her to say what she knows .
“Do you really want me to speak?” Jana said amusedly seeing Emily’s current expression, which was no different than a thief who is caught in the act .

“Come on . . . let’s go, I’m not in the mood to hunt today,” Emily said hastily . She turned and started to leave .
The group that was with her followed her without understanding what was happening .
“I know how to defend myself,” Breno said to Jana .
“I did it because I wanted to, it wasn’t exactly because of you . I just couldn’t stand the way she spoke, that’s all . . . ” As Jana spoke, her voice got quieter, until the end, it sounded like a whisper .
Breno remembers that Jana never got along with Emily, so she didn’t think much about it .
“It was good that they left . With them here, Nero couldn’t use her plunder ability . ” Choko said . She was always helpful and seeing that this group of people being close, could disturb Nero, because of that, she was happy when they all left .
Nero also felt more comfortable now that this group of people was gone . She took the spider out of the inventory .

“Now it’s your turn to kill, Choko . ” Said Jana .
“Right . ” Choko nodded with a serious look . She stood in an attack position, waiting for Jana to draw the attention of a spider .
While they were at it . Nero took this chance that everyone was focused on Choko’s fight, she took the 4 monster cores from the inventory .
The moment the cores appeared in her hand; a message came .

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)

"I don't know who you think you are coming here, and acting like you don't care about anything. Now listen here Princess, because I'm not going to repeat myself. Here's a couple of rules that I'd like to enlighten upon you. Number one, you do not talk back to me. And two, you don't mess with me or the rules," his breath fans my face and I close my eyes. The proximity between us was terrifying. "I've dealt with many bitches like you, so I suggest that you follow those rules unless you want to end up like them," - he leans in. His mouth lingers near my ear, "used."... "... You might think that you run this place, but you do not run me. Understand? And the sooner you understand that, the better it'll be for the both of us," I warn staring right into his eyes before walking away. I was more than amused by his dumbfounded expression. I stop, and turn back around, facing him, "And one piece of advice, know what you're fishing for before you start fishing. What if you find a shark and it reels you in, instead?"⇒Highest rank: 1 in Chicklit on 01.08.16
