Chapter 25
Coming out of the bath . Nera returned to her bed . She was waiting for the guard to bring her food . Then she could meditate again .
But . . . hour after hour they were freaking out, but nobody came to bring her food . Nera thought it strange since it’s never happened before .
“Are you having a problem? I hope so!”
If possible, she hoped someone would find the place and destroy and kill them all . But that was just her wish, which she knew wouldn’t be easily realized .
Nera with her small structure, jumped a long sigh . It wasn’t like she was very hungry . Because of this, she didn’t care too much whether they would bring her food now or not .
But one thing she was sure of . Something happened . Although she doesn’t know what it was, she hoped these bastards were having a hard time .
Yawning, she thought, “I’m getting sleepy, I’m going to sleep . Apparently, they’re not coming today . ”

The next morning .
“Number 0!” A guard came into the room and called her .
“Mm?” Waking up sleepy . Nera looks at the guard with her half-open eyes .
Whoever woke her up this time was a tall, muscular man . His eyes looked at Nera with no expression, but Nera could have sworn she saw a glimmer of pity in her eyes . . .
“Come quick!” He said, “Dr . Aisten’s trying to see you . ”
Nera’s face went white . Fear was visible on her face . If there was anyone, Nera feared most, it was Aisten . Trembling because of fear . She started to dress pretty fast .
The guard understood her fear . Since you have someone who did the worst, riskiest experiments, it was Aisten .
Nera could not repress the fear she was feeling by following the guard through the bedroom door .
The more they walked . . . the more afraid she felt .
“Come on, if you don’t want me to drag you down!” The guard screamed when he saw that Nera slowed down her steps .
Nera bit her lower lip and started walking faster .
By the time they arrived in front of Dr . Aisten’s door, Nera’s heart was already at a thousand . She knew being called here wasn’t good news . Besides, she was even more frightened because of the possible reason they didn’t give her food yesterday .

The guard opened the door and said, “Dr . Aisten, I brought Number 0 . ”
“Right . Send her in!” A sinister voice came from inside the room .
Nera was dragged by the guard . She could barely contain her fear . Looking at the tall, thin man almost 2 meters tall, bent a little forward . It was like she was seeing the devil himself in person .
But soon her fear was replaced by anger!
That’s the doctor who was the last one to call your friend Yui . Inside the room something made her tremble with anger and hatred, a hatred so great that her shoulders began to tremble, uncontrollably .
Hanging in a corner of the room, there was a pair of beautiful snow-white wings . Besides, she noticed her friend without wings inside a big pot full of transparent liquid and full of cables connected to her .
Nera could have imagined that she was still alive . . . , yet was it really good that she was still alive in this state? Without Nera noticing, warm tears began to flow from her eyes . She could not imagine the pain her friend felt when they removed her wings and left her in this state .
“Yui . . . Yui . . . Yui . . . ”
She tried to get close, but she was stopped by the guard .
“How can you? How can there be such inhuman beings?” She sobbed loudly in anguish . “Why don’t these people . . . no! Why can these evil beings do that and get away with it? The stories I’ve heard that good always wins, all that was a lie? This, this . . . ”
Nera couldn’t even complete what was going on in her mind when she fell to her knees on the ground .
“Why are you doing so much drama?” Doctor Aisten snorted . Then he said angrily, with his eyes full of ferocity: “Don’t think you’ll gain any empathy from me . ” He mocked, “You’re just another guinea pig from my experiments . Don’t think you have any value other than that!”
He laughed sinisterly, “You’re nothing but a lab rat . You will live and die here!”
“You bastard!” Nera shouted in the middle of her tears, “You’re a monster!” Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click www . webnovel . com for visiting .

“Hahahahahaha!”
Instead of being offended . An evil laugh echoed in the room . Aisten laughed out loud like there was no tomorrow .
After he stopped laughing . Aisten looked at the guard who was still in the room, his eyes showing no humanity, his eyes were full of the purest cruelty when he ordered, “Guard, lock her in this chair!”
“Yes!” The guard nodded with fear . He’s approaching Nera who was kneeling on the floor . Catching her the strength, he dragged her to the chair, without worrying about the screams of Nera who refused to obey .
Stuck in a chair . With her hands and feet tied . Nera looked at Aisten as if she could eat him alive . The right corner of her nose trembled like a rabid dog, looking at Aisten full of hatred and anger .
Why is that? Why did she have to go through all this?
Just before I thought of an answer . She mocked herself . It was all her own sister’s fault that she went through all this . Your sister, blood of your blood, sold it to these psychopaths .
Aisten took a suitcase without taking a second look at Nera . He put the briefcase on a table and opened it . Inside there was a syringe and a small glass jar with bright red blood inside .
He took the syringe and then took the blood out of the little jar . Turning back to Nera, he had a smile full of cruelty that made anyone tremble with fear .
Nera seeing his smile . I knew she probably wouldn’t make it this time . Then Nera’s emotions rained like a storm . Her shoulders began to tremble when the tears fell like rain, threatening to drown her inside . The sadness and loneliness that dried up in his veins ran like a cold, endless river .
Why did your sister do this to her? Why didn’t she doubt her when she said to hide in the boat? Why did she have to be deceived by her own sister and sold to these evil beings? Why is that? Why is that?
Seeing Nera’s despair . . . Aisten’s laughter got even more out of control . He loved to see desperate people . It was like that was the real meaning of life . Having people desperate because of you .
When Aisten stopped laughing . He started saying, “You’re lucky, Number 0 . You will have the honor of receiving the cells of a rare animal . I don’t even know what kind of animal it is, but did you notice the glow and how intimidating this blood is?” He laughed, “Of course, if you can survive, it’s a totally different story . ”
Without waiting for an answer . Aisten injects the blood into the vein of Nera’s left arm .
Nothing happened at first . But . . . after a few seconds, she started to become totally blood red and she started screaming . . . her screams were desperate! The pain she was feeling was so strong that it didn’t even give her a chance to faint, because the moment she fainted, Nera woke up from the pain once again .
His skin began to dislodge and his blood burst, just like a soap bubble . The sound of her bursting blood resolves in her mind, tormenting her, intensifying her pain .
Burst . . . burst . . . burst . . . burst . . . burst . . . burst . . . burst . . . burst . . .
Her blood bubbled and burst, bubbled and burst, bubbled and burst . Her body was already soaked in her own blood . Her veins were visible to the naked eye . Blood comes out of her eyes, nose, mouth, ear . She wanted to keep screaming, but she didn’t have a voice anymore .
Even the guard who saw a lot of scary, disgusting things . . . He couldn’t help himself and throw up .
It was a horrible sight . Nera’s skin was torn all over her body . She was in living flesh . Even in some parts of her body, it was possible to see her bones .
Her eyes rolled over and turned white, but they were stained with her blood . It was a frightening sight .

A note from the Author: PLEASE leave a review and alert me of any plot holes, weak portions, and anything else. I am in desperate need of beta readers and feedback. I wrote this around the new year, 2020. It's about 40k words and the first in a planned series that follows Gar "Alany" Darron and his agency of detectives as they track missing persons in the city of Throne. I have the sequel planned but not written. Once this one is completely uploaded, I'll be uploading another, unrelated series that as of right now is roughly 160k words long, and somewhere in there, I'll write the sequel to Frame of Mind. I plan to go back and forth between the two series for the foreseeable future. Thanks for reading.
