Supreme Lord Chapter 71

The fact that Rende had actually come here was already a surprise for Huode, but the words he had just said completely baffled him.
Although the two of them had disagreements ever since they were kids, after all, they had been cultivating together for around eight centuries. Huode knew that although Rende was extremely obstinate and serious, he was trustworthy.
“Senior brother, if you really want to help me and care about our sect, then you should make Gu Qingfeng a direct disciple as fast as possible.”
Now that Rende stated the reason for his visit, Huode became honest too, “Shuide has always been working behind the scene. I think the Nineglory Alliance will make a big move at the end of the year.”
“But Jinde won’t give up so easily. He must also know that Nineglory Alliance is planning something so he will definitely speed-up his plan and try to seize the Sect Master’s position by force relying on the numerous people behind him. We must make Gu Qingfeng a direct disciple before any of this happens. As long as he becomes a direct disciple, then we won’t have to worry about Jinde or even the Nineglory Alliance.”
Rende nodded. Although he was a little more serious and stubborn, he was not stupid or blind so he clearly understood whet Huode was talking about.
“Gu Qingfeng is now the chief of the prime disciples so he is qualified to participate in the examination for becoming a direct disciple. But…”
Rende frowned deeply, “I think Jinde and Shuide probably guessed that Gu Qingfeng is the successor that you chose and will try everything they can to stop his path. Of course, as long as Gu Qingfeng manages to pass the examination, their objections wouldn’t mean anything.”
Huode took a sip of wine and guaranteed, “That’s not a problem. You don’t need to doubt’s that brat’s power. No matter what things those two bastards try to do to stop him, it will be useless.”
“Then that’s perfect. But…is Gu Qingfeng really just someone with a mutant body?”

“Well, kind of.”
Elder Rende was stunned by his answer, “What do you mean, kind of?”
Looking at Rende’s puzzled expression, Huode shook his head, “Don’t ask me, I don’t know either.”
“Although there is no rule in our Redcloud Sect that says that someone who failed his Foundation Establishment can’t become a direct disciple, Shuide and Jinde might try to use this point to create troubles.”
Huode could tell what Rende meant and he let out a hollow laugh, “Senior brother, I really don’t know what that brat’s condition really is. However, he said he could redo his Foundation Establishment and I believe him. As for when he would do it, I have no idea.”
Huode had asked Gu Qingfeng about this and he mentioned that he had to wait for his body to be completely recovered before establishing his foundation once again. Huode had no idea how long it would take, but he guessed that even if with Gu Qingfeng’s monstrous power, he still needed at least a hundred years to recover since he had faced Heaven’s tribulation.
“In that case, we need to figure out a good way to deal with Shuide and Jinde.”
—
Night.
The moon was somewhat dim and the night breeze was rather dreary.
The Bluesun Domain was located in the northwestern territory of this world, where the weather was strange and unpredictable. In the Near Ancient Era, during the day, the sun was so hot that it could burn people to their deaths, and during the night, it was so cold that people could freeze to death.
Perhaps because of the recovery of all matter, the weather in the Bluesun Domain had become much milder and ever since Gu Qingfeng had returned to this world, the weather had been extremely normal.
At this moment, Gu Qingfeng was sitting in the lotus position on the bed and meditated. He only wore a pair of pants, his hair was untied, his eyes were slightly closed and he had a calm expression on his face.

A piece of bone jade the size of a thumb was hanging around his neck. It looked very decrepit and seemed ordinary.
His body was extremely vigorous and it was as if every inch of his flesh contained an immeasurable amount of strength. If one took a closer look, it could see that every pore of Gu Qingfeng’s body was like a greedy vortex that was crazily absorbing the spiritual energy of the world.
Every single part of his body, from bones to blood and organs was dyed in a bronze color as well as a dark purple color.
His strange meridians were intertwined with each other and looked like the roots of an old tree. However, a spiritual force as vast as an ocean and as powerful as a tsunami resided inside those meridians.
Moreover, that spiritual force was completely pure, without even a tinge of impurity. No matter how impure the spiritual energy of the world was, as soon as it entered Gu Qingfeng’s body, it would be refined to the purest level.
He has no shortage of spiritual force, and with one big breath, he could absorb the entire spiritual energy of the Bluesun Domain if he wanted to.
The spiritual force inside of him was already enough for redoing his Foundation Establishment, however, his body had not fully recovered yet.
His body had been injured by the Heavenly Dao’s tribulation and he didn’t know when he would be able to completely recover. He didn’t even know if a full recovery was even possible.
After a moment of contemplation, Gu Qingfeng decided that he would recover while continuing to cultivate, so he needed to find a good opportunity for establishing his foundation.
However, there was no need to hurry and it was better to go with the flow.
After cultivation for a while, he opened his eyes and looked at the little turtle at the other end of the bed. It leaned against the wall and seemed to be drunk as it had a jar of wine in its hands. Currently, the turtle’s head was slightly dangling down and it looked as if it was sleeping.
Ever since Gu Qingfeng returned with the turtle, all it did was eat and sleep, but two days ago it started drinking wine and got addicted to it. The turtle started drinking one or two jars of wine per day, and it looked like the number might increase as time went by.
However, Gu Qingfeng did not care about this since the turtle drank Huode’s wine and not his.
He took out the crystal that he obtained in the immortal cave and investigating it.
After so many days of research, he finally had an idea of the origin of the crystal. If his guess was right, then the crystal was a Dao Heart Stone.
A Dao Heart Stone was a very complex and special thing and it resembled the Buddhism’s sarira. With the help of a magical ability, after one died, his body could be transformed into a Dao Heart Stone.
However, no one really wanted to transform themselves into a Dao Heart Stone, unless they were forced to do so.
People mostly used Dao Heart Stones for reincarnation.
Gu Qingfeng had once read about this in an ancient book and learned that in the past, many people had transformed themselves into Dao Heart Stones before reincarnating. In order to reincarnate, the soul had to enter the Reincarnation Gate, but no one knew if they could safely reincarnate. Their soul could be shattered as soon as they entered the Reincarnation Gate, or they could be stranded into an eternal abyss of darkness.
And even if one was reincarnated, there was no guarantee that he would be able to awaken his memories of his past life. They could either spend their entire lives unaware that they had reincarnated, or they could just have a very vague feeling like deja-vu.
However, if they had left behind a Dao Heart Stone in their previous life, then they could awaken their memories with its help.

What do you wish for?
Norman hated his life. His peers ignored and bullied him. His mother nagged. His father was never home. Norman desperately wished for a miracle, but his prayers went unanswered. Until one night. **************************************** Note: This story is going to be very short. I would recommend reading it all at once. This story started out as a challenge I set for myself. I've recently felt bogged down because of the need to write more. That's why each chapter will be only 300 words long. Exactly 300 words long. At this point, I've pretty much written the whole thing, so I'm very confident that there will only be eight chapters.
