Chapter 3 – Innate Supernatural Strength

After leaving the cemetery, Gu Qingfeng followed Ouyang Ye and looked at the surrounding scenery . This used to be his hometown, and he vaguely remembered that here used to be a lot of villages, but now due to passage of time or perhaps due to the tribulation, this land turned into a mountain range .

Looking around, he noticed that many mountains were shrouded in a faint colored layer of light which should be formations . Through these formations, he vaguely saw a few ancient villas on top of the mountains . Since there were formations that shrouded the mountains, there must be a spiritual vein at the foot of each mountain .

Gu Qingfeng knew that after the tribulation, along with the revival of heaven and earth, everything will surely recover, however, he did not expect that the recovery will be so strong that even his barren hometown had produced so many spiritual veins .

As he was walking, Ouyang Ye in front of him suddenly stopped, turned around, stared at Gu Qingfeng with a disgruntled face and asked, “Why are you following me?”

Gu Qingfeng was silent for a moment, then smiled, “Little girl, are you a disciple of Redcloud Sect?”

Because Gu Qingfeng badmouthed Sovereign Bloodheaven moments ago, Ouyang Ye obviously didn’t like him very much, and her words were full of anger, “So what if I am?”

“In that case, Elder Huode that you spoke of in the cemetery is Daoist Huode?”

Ouyang Ye’s voice was still cold, “So what?”

“So what?” Gu Qingfeng frowned slightly and said, “Little girl, the Elder Huode of your Redcloud Sect and I are old friends . Can you take me to him?”

Ouyang Ye burst out laughing after hearing him . She folded her arms while sizing up Gu Qingfeng, and smiled, “Judging by your appearance, you should be in your twenties at most . ”

“Girl, since you are a cultivator, you should definitely know that after cultivating to Golden Core you can stay young forever . ”

“I know . But I can’t sense any Golden Core aura from you . Not to mention Golden Core, but I can’t even feel the slightest spiritual force aura on you . How dare you say that you are a Golden Core expert? ”

“My cultivation base was crippled . ”

“Oh? How was it crippled? Tell me about it . ”

But as soon as Ouyang Ye heard him, she sneered, “Damned swindler, next time when you want to deceive someone, do your basic homework . Elder Huode hasn’t left the sect for nearly a decade . I warn you, when you disrespected the Sovereign in the cemetery moments ago, I took pity on you and didn’t do anything to you . If you follow me again, don’t blame me for being rude!”

Gu Qingfeng sighed secretly and really felt helpless as he looked around at all the mountains . He simply couldn’t remember where the Redcloud Sect was .

Since that girl regarded himself as a swindler, Gu Qingfeng didn’t bother to pester her anymore . He just planned on finding other people and asking them about the Redcloud Sect .

“Seriously? A hundred years have passed since the tribulation and instead of decreasing, there are more and more swindlers . They are either pretending to be a senior injured in the tribulation, an expert that reincarnated, someone that had lost his cultivation base, or a reincarnator with amnesia . ”

Ouyang Ye quickly left because she saw many swindlers like that and simply did not bother to pay them any attention . However, what made her surprised was that the damned swindler was still following her .

“This is ridiculous!”After Gu Qingfeng ignored her warnings so many times, Ouyang Ye finally got angry and with a flick of her finger, she shot a light beam straight at him .

In her imagination, that swindler was so weak that even a wisp of her spiritual force will have him rolling on the ground in pain . However, unlike her imagination, that swindler just lightly waved his hand, and her light beam inexplicably dispersed on the spot .

Impossible!

Ouyang Ye couldn’t believe that Gu Qingfeng had blocked her attack and simply thought that she didn’t see clearly, so with another flick of her hand, her spiritual force condensed into a light beam and went straight at Gu Qingfeng . However, just like before, that damned swindler immediately dispersed it with just a wave of his hand .

How was this possible?!

Gu Qingfeng looked at her with a cheerful smile, “Girl, I didn’t provoke you so why did you hit me?”

Ouyang Ye asked in surprise, “Damned swindler, who are you?”

Gu Qingfeng shrugged his shoulders and smiled, “I just told you, but you don’t believe it . ”

“Damned swindler, let’s see what you are capable of!” With a cold snort, Ouyang Ye sprang up like a flash of lightning and instantly arrived in front of Gu Qingfeng, attacking him with a sweep of her leg .

Gu Qingfeng just stood there with no intention of dodging and when Ouyang Ye’s attack was about to land, he gently raised his arm, and along with a bang, he tightly grasped Ouyang Ye’s ankle and said with a smile, “Little girl, your cultivation base is pretty good . ”

Having said that, Gu Qingfeng loosened his grip, allowing Ouyang Ye to withdraw . She just stood there with her face full of shock . She simply could not understand why this beggar without any cultivation base could easily block her Thunder Kick .

Without much thought, Ouyang Ye continued to attack and exerted all kinds of martial arts but in the end, all of them were useless . No matter how mysterious her moves were or how powerful the spiritual force inside of them was, all of them were easily blocked by Gu Qingfeng .

Gu Qingfeng looked at her with a playful smile and said, “Your martial arts skills aren’t bad either . ”

“Damn it!”

Ouyang Ye jumped up and brandished her fists again, but the more she hit him, the more frightened and incredible she felt . She felt that this damned beggar was like a mountain, and even if she used her full strength she wouldn’t be able to move him one bit .

Gu Qingfeng, who looked extremely weak and beaten down just stood there lazily, easily blocking all of Ouyang Ye’s attack with one hand . He smiled and said, “Girl, that’s enough . Even if I was a real swindler, you don’t have to be so adamant about it . If you attack me again, I’ll strike back . ”

“So what if you strike back!”Ouyang Ye simply couldn’t accept this . Ever since she was young, she had been gifted with extraordinary talent, wits, and comprehension and in everyone’s eyes, she was a proud daughter of heaven .

Both her cultivation base and martial arts skills were outstanding among her peers, and yet, she couldn’t do anything to this weak-looking beggar . How could she accept this?

Gu Qingfeng shook his head feeling a little helpless . He raised his arm and sent out a punch .

With a loud bang, the earth-shattering force that Ouyang Ye was about to release had dispersed immediately and she was forced to retreat . After backing down for ten meters, along with a groan she came to a halt and stared at Gu Qingfeng in horror, “How can your physical strength be so strong!”

Looking at the girl’s horrified appearance, Gu Qingfeng laughed happily and joked: “I can’t do anything about it, I was just born with innate supernatural strength . ”

Innate supernatural strength?

Ouyang Ye looked at him in amazement and doubt . She once heard the elders of her sect that some people with special physiques were born with unimaginable power because of their amazing bones .

But she only heard about this and she had never met those kinds of people before . Was this damned beggar someone with innate supernatural strength like the people in those legends?

“Just who are you?” Ouyang Ye frowned deeply as she stared at the face of this weak-looking beggar . Se couldn’t figure out why this guy’s physical body was so strong .

Did he really really had innate supernatural strength? No! This was very unlikely, and if it was true, then he definitely had an Exquisite Body, which would’ve made him a proud son of heaven . Looking at this guy’s disheveled hair and battered appearance, he didn’t look like he had an Exquisite Body, which was a legendary thing .

“Who am I? This question is rather complicated . ”

Gu Qingfeng conveniently picked a wild fruit from a big tree nearby and tasted it . He then picked another one since it tasted good and replied, “Girl, how should I say this… We are a little bit related . ”

“Bullshit! Don’t flatter yourself, I have nothing to do with a damned swindler like you!”

Back then, the Redcloud Sect thought that my talent was inferior and my spirit root was not good, so I was not accepted . They didn’t even let me become an outer sect disciple .
