《How am I Supposed to Save This World with No Power?》Chapter 162: Summer Selections: Surpass Your Limits

The last time Yuna faced against someone with so much overwhelming power was back at the semi-finals of the Winter Wars against Fatera. Just like back then, she had her element of speed, and she had the upper hand even as Fatera pushed herself further and further into her Killa mode when suddenly, the fight was over.
Yuna couldn't remember much afterwards beyond her attack being caught, and Fatera knocking her out with a titanic headbutt that literally rocked her entire universe. She let go of the strand of victory for an instant, and Fatera was able to turn everything around.
"Quite a de javu, right?" Yuna murmured to herself as her body was relentlessly slammed into the ground. She thought of her past fights in between hits from Bez. She replenished her Wave armour the same way Lera did with her Bubble bubble, and she endured the earth-shaking attacks from Bez's punches the same way Fatera did.
Ignoring the exploding pain from all around her body, Yuna hunted the opening in Bez's body. Having been completely taken over by his demonic half, Bez is essentially fighting as a Channeler with his manifest. All she needed is one opening...one opportunity to turn everything around.
If she is to achieve her dreams of seeing everything in the world, she needed to push beyond the level she is currently at...she needed to become much stronger...she needed to become strong enough for her dreams, and the dreams of those two idiots...
Yuna started breathing in out and slower, kicking her body out of the state of panic as time seemed to slow down all around her. She saw the attacks slow down from Bez's arms, caught the twitching of his demonic muscles, and felt the rhythm of the battle in the air. Reaching her hand up, she exerted her own pressure onto the environment, pressing herself up an instant after Bez landed another hit to the right side of her body.
Riding the momentum of the hit, Yuna spun around and slammed the back of her heel into Bez's jaw, her white Wave rushing out from her body and pushing back against Bez's very own presence in the Wave.
"I will not fall here!" Yuna shouted, "I ain't losing yet!"
Then, as Yuna pushed Bez back further and further with a knee to his chest, the figure of Braka slashed through the air, arriving right beside her as he threw both arms forward, the blood from his body forming a pair of tiger claws over his hands and pushing back against Bez's arms.

"BRAKA!" Yuna caught his movements, and it looked strangely familiar. Then, the two shared a knowing glance and moved in synchrony, starting with a light turn in the ankles before both delivering a spinning back kick straight in the chest of Bez, throwing him back as his body bounced through the ground like a pinball, the tiny black lines attempting to brake his momentum but not doing it that successfully.
"Yuna-sama." Braka said, bowing his head slightly as blood dripped down his chin, "I want to fight alongside you. Forever."
"Then, you'd better keep up." Yuna smiled warmly before she squeezed her broken ribs tight, popping it back in place, "I can't be waiting for you forever."
"Yes." Braka crouched down near the ground the same time as Yuna did so too, "You have waited for us long enough."
At that moment, both of them pushed their Wave out from their body, Yuna channeling the Wave through the white outline of the tiger as patches of red decorated the armor itself with her blood seeping through. Right beside her, Braka constructed an identical Wave armor out of his own blood, his eyes surrounded by red, and only seeing red.
They say the wounded beasts are the most dangerous, and now, Bez had pissed off two of them.
Without needing to say a word to one another, Yuna and Braka rocketed forward through the air with so much speed that their after images were all but a blur in place.
"COME!" Bez called out, slamming his six arms into one another before creating a massive dark bubble and pushing it outward, the tiny creepy black arms from his Manifest clawing towards the two, "Let's see how you fare against my Perfect Synchrony!"
"Dominance mode..." Yuna said, more and more raw power flooding out from her body as her movements and Braka's movements gelled together into a pair of spiralling light, one red and one white, "Dominance of the TIGER!"
Suddenly, all of the noise in the forest were shushed. All of the sounds, the sights, and the vibrations in the Wave shut down, leaving behind only Yuna's presence, and her presence alone. Bez's expansion of his Wave was slammed head-on by the influence from Yuna's Dominance mode, and it was contained in a tiny bubble while Yuna dominated over the entire corner of the forest.
At that moment, she was the king of the entire jungle.
"A dominance mode activation in the midst of battle!" Bez breathed in and out excitedly, "Perfect for devouring you! Hammer of Hell!"

Then, he lunged forward, both hands creating massive columns of the dark demonic matter before a pair of hammers the size of buildings grew from his hands. He slammed them down, the flat head of the demonic clashing against the combined attack from Yuna and Braka as an explosion swallowed everything up.
However, the shockwave didn't even propagate much further beyond the point of impact, as Yuna's dominance mode contained everything within.
There it was. Yuna grinned, her body feeling stronger and more powerful than ever as she pushed forward. Her claws instantly cracked the surface of the hammer, and she started tearing through it.
There it was. Victory.
Yuna broke through the other side, and her body floated inches away from the surprised face of Bez before she wound her leg back, ready to deliver the final blow.
That was when Bez tilted his body to the side, the hammer on his left and rapidly retracting and disassembling until it revealed a pile of goop that was once Braka. He reached it across, putting in between Yuna and himself as a human meat shield, though Braka at his current state wouldn’t have shielded anything.
Even through her own Dominance mode, Braka's presence in the Wave persevered, but as the clock of his Blood Brink continued ticking, Yuna knew she didn't have much time. She needed to win, and she needed to win now.
"That's right." Bez said, shoving Braka's body into Yuna and pushing her back, "If you surround yourself with weakness, it won't matter how strong you are!"
"Shut up!" Yuna caught Braka in her arms, "He's is far from weak!"
"Look at the shape he's in now!" Bez laughed, cocking his free hand back as yet another Hammer of Hell was conjured up, "He is done for!"
"Just like you are."
Emerging from a dark fluid right behind Bez, Matty's cold voice came through. His short white hair flowing in the air and bright blue eyes locked onto Bez's back as he held the golden chains dropped by Bez way earlier in his hand.
"What?!" Bez half turned around when Matty slung the chains around his body, the Cast imprinted within it activating the moment it contacted the demonic part of Bez's body.
The Hammer of Hell disappeared from his hand as the darkness covering his body retracted rapidly. Bez cursed and frantically reached for the chains when Yuna's boot suddenly appeared in front of his eyes.
"Lights. Out."
With a kick delivered straight to Bez's jaw as he's half turned around, his head whipped back before bouncing back in place as his eyes rolled up and his body softened. All of his presence in the Wave were wiped away, and his unconscious body folded in Matty's hands as he still held the chains around his body.
Yuna landed back onto the ground, Braka's body still held firmly in her hands as she held back the tears. Matty breathed heavily and dropped onto the ground, the patches of blood covering the gaping wound over his stomach now melting back into liquid before it streamed down onto his trousers.
"I don't know how that idiot does it..." Matty grimaced, "Scar Casting fucking hurts."
"He will endure that pain if it was for us..." Yuna said, putting Braka's body down as his features were barely visible, "Can you..."
"Healing Cast?" Matty rolled over and grabbed onto Braka's hands, "He is tough enough to heal himself. We just need to give him as much of the Wave as possible."
Yuna nodded, and she grabbed onto Matty's hands too as they both poured all they have back into Braka's body. He honestly looked like a sausage, but with the fresh injection of the Wave from the two of them, Braka somehow managed to regenerated his internal organs despite his skin still looking like a torn-up rag.
"Wh...what happened?" Braka asked, his voice weak as air leaked out from the side of his cheek, "Aw, fuck."
"You are one crazy bloke." Matty said, sitting back and stopping his own bleeding, "I know you will make it."
"Braka!" Yuna rushed over, hugging his broken body and nearly breaking things further, "You...both of you...you both pushed way further than you did before. Matty! You used his Scar Casting, and Braka...you called me Yuna-sama!"
"That's was your takeaway?" Braka immediately presented his deniability, "I certainly didn't call you that. I am sure you misheard in the heat of battle."
"Yes you did!" Yuna said, clinging onto him, "You said you would fight by my side forever!"
"Forever is a long time." Matty commented, and Braka looked towards him before making a face, though Matty couldn't really tell what expression he was making.
"Right?!" Braka asked, when Yuna suddenly applied some pressure around his neck.
"Admit it." She threatened, and Braka yielded immediately without any resistance. After all, he could never say no to her. Though as a reward, he got a kiss on the forehead.

That must make it good. Right? Character-focused, low-stakes, post-death upload. Hard system: if the stats say she loses a fight, she'll lose the fight. Rebirth of Destiny I
In a world where magical runes called Rebirths rest in the hands of hostile nations, fourteen-year-old Aiden lived a quiet life in a small town conveniently named Khalm. Born with crescent-shaped irises and silver hair, young Aiden was never bothered by his unusual birthmarks until the night his life as a simple delivery boy changed. He was the 'Rebirth Destroyer', someone ruling powers deemed a threat. Chased by death and the foretelling of the world ending by his hands, Aiden soon finds that there are few people he can trust. My stories are fantasy-based and heavily influenced by classic Final Fantasy games ( by classic I mean 1-10 ) and other Japanese Role-Playing Games I used to enjoy, with one difference; the main characters are Black. July 2022 update! After months of deliberation, I've decided to continue with this cast of characters in the next books instead. The loose ends in this story have been keeping me up all night. I've gotten started on 2 sequels to this; Rebirth of Destiny II based on the good ending and the alternative ending. After I get a good backlog built up they'll be published once a week.

I'm Sure It'll be Fine! ...right?
We live to die, and die to live again. This Cycle continues, neither to Begin nor End. Ever Beginning, never to End, we come to the story of our Unusual Friend. The Gods are as varied and unique as the mortals that worship them. Some are kind, others are fluffy, and (given the nature of the multiverse) a few are Eldrich Abominations of Unspeakable Horror. But that's fine, those few tend to mind their own business... At least until an Eldrich Abomination (an interdimensional cosmic slime-mold specifically) gets itself devoured by a Lich during a ritual to obtain Godhood... Especially because anyone, even a Lich, who's willing to eat an ENTIRE COSMIC SLIME-MOLD for any reason, even godhood, is undoubtedly a madman...who's now set his unsightly gaze upon replacing (likely by devouring) the Godess of Magic herself! She could probably use some help...if only to avoid touching the slimy Lichgod directly. Also, the Eldrich Gods are protesting these events in their usual manner...by trying to destroy all of Creation.
