《How am I Supposed to Save This World with No Power?》Chapter 109: Wu's Squad VS Ghost

With a loud angry grunt, the Ghost rose up from the patches of melting snow, his deep eyes locking onto Fatera. He was a man mountain with a long hair tied behind his head, a glorious mustache, and a frame wide enough to make even Kaire Jin, the giant girl, felt a little strange inside. "Let me show you, the true strength of a member of the Boarded." The Ghost said, his footsteps digging deep into the snow and flattening the soil underneath, "Who you had beaten was nothing but a fringe weakling of the Boarded." "It won't be after this fight!" Fatera said, her mind getting wound up before she leapt in for the one on one. "Fatera!" Wu shouted, "We are fighting together!" "Stay out of this!" Fatera shot back, "Don't get in my fun!" "It's okay..." Ver said, landing softly next to Wu, "We have already gotten our objective here, and it's him that's on the back foot. Well…barring the poor kid." "This is the first time we are fighting all together, right?" Wu said, glancing briefly at Ver and Lera, "Well, to be honest, we all kind of knew Fatera is a loose cannon...but regardless of that, we will win together, and…we will take care of Augen…" "Yep." Lera said, "She may not want to fight with us, but that doesn't mean we don't want to fight with her." Lera sounded exactly like Wu's coach back at the university. Back then, they had a star player with a horrendous attitude, yet he was always good enough to just squeak out a win if the others on the team contributed even just a tiny bit. And now, Fatera was their star player. Attitudes aside, she was also their best win condition. So long as the battle is slightly in her favour, she would be able to carry the momentum forward until her victory. Lera knew that exactly, and she had already laid out her Cast array around Fatera with Rapid Layering, making sure that the Ghost wasn't followed by anyone else. Though it was clear from what Ver and the Kraken said, the Ghost somehow managed to sneak in with them through the portals, and Fatera's attacks also went straight through. Assuming that was what his power is, Wu was able to use his Void Domain over him, disabling all use of the Wave and giving Fatera the briefest edge to land a hit. "A nifty trick by your Caster." Ghost smiled, avoiding Fatera's flurry of punches as his body contorted away with a cartoonish kind of agility, "A Cast to shut down other Casts? That's a lot like what John's power is." "I don't know what they do." Fatera said, spinning and sweeping down low as Ghost planted his feet firmly and shifted his weight onto it. There was a loud bang, and Fatera felt as if she had just kicked a steel pole, her leg bouncing straight back, "Ya are rock hard." "I am always rock hard." Ghost said, launching a pair of fist forward with a sharp breathe out, "HYAH!" A massive gust of wind slammed into Fatera's body, and she slipped back in the snow, her feet leaving a track behind though her body remained upright as she took in the hit. "So...are we going to take it seriously now?" Ghost asked, his feet stomping through a rising Trapping Cast and slashing aside pairs of Wave Orbs shot his way, the ranged attacks exploding over his skin and bouncing off like raindrops, "Show me your Killa mode." "Not in the mood yet." Fatera said, dropping into a lunge before a surge of Wave wrapped over her skin, the crimson semi-transparent layer of power coating all over her body as she charged forward, delivering a devastating kick straight to the mid-section of the Ghost, "Hard mode: Kicky Kick!" The tip of her feet cut through the air with so much force that the air formed a small dome right over it. To Ghost, it looked as if Fatera had conjured up a silvery shield over her Wave-boots. He wanted to take the hit, and he wanted to experience that energy. Standing tall with his arms dropped, the Ghost surrendered himself to the attack. It landed, and a burst of energy exploded right over Ghost's stomach. His body was launched away like a baseball. It slammed through all of the remaining trees, creating massive echoing explosions in the forest as the college students in the floating structures nearby wondered who the hell is doing demolish work at this time in the day. "So...that settles it." Wu said, reaching to Fatera, "You have won. Let's get out of here." That was when suddenly, an immense aura exploded from far out in the distance, sweeping over nearly everything as Lera, Ver, and Fatera's bodies all became alert naturally. Wu also felt it through the lines of Casts vibrating in his suit. So much raw power, so much influence on the Wave, so much...of it all. Fatera clenched her fist before even realizing, then, she closed her eye and clapped her hands together, sending forth a massive shockwave the crushed through the forest until the wavefront dissipated its energy fifty meters away. Fatera made a confused sound, when suddenly, the outline of the Ghost materialized out of thin air and he slammed his fist right into Fatera's shoulder, folding her body in half before she fell into the center of an impact crater. The ground rocked as cracks formed instantly, the bits of snow sent jetting in all directions as Wu, Ver, and Lera both became too surprised to move. "Fatera!" Lera shouted, activating her Cast array as countless thickened burning vines rushed towards the Ghost, however, his body disappeared into thin air once again as the attack hit onto nothing. He reformed behind Lera, preparing to strike her down when Wu wrapped his hands around her waist and dashed off with her. "Now!" Wu shouted as Ver emerged from a Whirlpool with the Sky Splitting Sword at the ready. "Whirlpool black: Sunder!" Ver shouted, lunging forward with her Sky Splitting Sword covered in the Kraken's oil and set ablaze as the bright red sword and its flames became the brightest thing nearby. The Ghost put a hand up before putting up a middle guard position, his forearm clashing against the blade as he twists his hand and strengthened the Wave near the point of impact. A loud metallic CLANK sent the shock of impact all the way back to Ver and her hands which was wrapped over by the Kraken's tendrils, and she was nearly knocked off her balance. "You are so weak in your human form." The Ghost said, reaching forward with his massive hand before the ground underneath him suddenly sank down, and he dropped into a pit that's chest high for him, but a whole person high for Lera. "Then you will meet him." Ver said, sweeping her hand over Ghost's body as she ignores the tingling sensation and the dull pain in her wrist, "Whirlpool Purple!" "I am not going anywhere." The Ghost said, his body rapidly dematerializing again before Wu leapt over him and put both hands right at the giant. "I am sorry!" Wu said, knowing that activating his Void Domain will undoubtedly mess with whatever Ver's next step is, however, they all knew that's the only way to stop Ghost from using his primary ability, "Void Domain!" A dark aura projected outward, and it stiffened the Ghost's movements enough as he became stuck in the middle of the activation of his powers. "Hahaha...this again." Ghost laughed, seeming relaxed before he glanced up at Wu, "I wanted to keep this to myself, a special treat for John, but since you are so passionate, I may as well give you a taste." "Watch out!" Lera said, an uneasy feeling sinking down in her stomach before the Ghost suddenly leapt up into the air with blinding speed and sent a punch right at Wu. Wu's eyes widened, and he watched as the Ghost's body rise up in the air despite the restrictions of the Void Domain. His mind rapidly spinning as he turned his foot, readjusting the direction of the blasts from his feet. "Get...up!" Wu grunted, sending more and more of his firepower into maneuvering in midair as he narrowly avoided Ghost's first punch while keeping the Void Domain focused on his body. The Void Domain was for sure working, as Ghost wasn't reliant on his power of dematerializing and rematerializing, but if that's the case, how was he moving so inhumanly fast?! That leaves only one option. Wu thought, as he bounced off the branch of a tree as the Ghost chased after him. Lera wanted to step in and help, but all of her tactics of delaying using Casts are fruitless as Wu's Void Domain actually disables it before it could do anything against the Ghost. But if Wu let up with the Void Domain, the Ghost will just sneak into his invisible form again, and that is far more dangerous than the game of cat and mouse that they are playing right now. Lera cursed at her uselessness once more, before something came to her. She may not have been able to directly hinder the Ghost, but who says she can't help Wu in some other ways? "Lightening! Strengthening!" Lera said, projecting her Cast onto Wu and doubling up on his physical enhancements which should make his movements a lot easier. Then, she pointed at Ver, "Cut the trees!" Ver nodded, realizing that the only way that the Ghost had been able to get around in midair to chase after Wu is by jumping from branch to branch. If they can't directly interfere in the battle, then they will work on altering the environments instead! With the Sky Splitting Sword tightly gripped in her hands, Ver spun around, dancing from tree to tree and slicing them in half as Lera activated her Bouldering Cast on each of the trees, causing them to collapse hard onto Ghost as he now had to deal with the shifting environmental factor. "Pests..." Ghost grunted in annoyance. Individually, they are all complete and utter weaklings apart from Fatera. Though, they all have a troubling set of abilities, and if left unchecked, they could pose a problem for the plans of himself and that of the PORA. Worse yet, with the Cast of Law of Combat in enacted in the entire Academy, there is no way that Ghost can straight up kill them here. At least not before the Academy is fully taken over. So now, he will just have to fight on the backfoot, and look for a chance to knock them all out. He dug his fingers into the trunk of a falling tree before he quickly clawed onto the other side, moving out of Wu's line of sight as a cloud of dust is stirred up. "I’ve lost him!" Wu said, as Lera and Ver went back to back with one another. Then, the presence of the Ghost returned within the Wave, as he charged right at Lera. That was when Fatera, covered in a dark red aura of the Wave, tackled the Ghost right in the ribs and slammed him into the ground. "Ya wanted to see my strength?!" Fatera said, her eyes nothing but glowing patches of dark red, "Ya will have it! Killa mode: Punchy Punch!" "Not so easy." The Ghost said, freeing his arm before he countered Fatera with a punch of his own. There was a loud BANG, and a massive shockwave exploded from Ghost's body as Fatera was sent flying away, a massive dent in her Wave armour over her face before she dropped onto the ground and rolled around a few times, coming to a dead stop eventually and was completely knocked out. "Not. Impressed." Ghost said, the shadow of his outline looming over Wu, Lera, and Ver, "Play time is over."

Naruto: The Ember Tomorrow
Synopsis: I enjoyed my job. I loved my life. I truly did not wish to die, but fate had other plans in store. Reborn into the body of Sasuke Uchiha just after the massacre of his clan, will I be able to forge a better path in this world of blood and death? Author's Note: This is a Naruto Isekai. I do not own Naruto nor am I making any monetary profit off of this fiction. It is purely for fun and growing my own skills as an author. This story will have many elements of the Naruto anime obviously, but there will be twists and turns. I don't much care for sticking too closely to canon. The fic will also delve somewhat into philosophy as the protagonist was a professor of such before his transmigration. I've marked the content tags of Gore, profanity, sexual content, and traumatizing content to allow myself the freedom to write as needed, but am unlikely to be excessively explicit in any of these areas; still, better to have the tag and the freedom as needed. Anyways, I hope you enjoy and feedback is always welcome.

Rebirth of Destiny I
In a world where magical runes called Rebirths rest in the hands of hostile nations, fourteen-year-old Aiden lived a quiet life in a small town conveniently named Khalm. Born with crescent-shaped irises and silver hair, young Aiden was never bothered by his unusual birthmarks until the night his life as a simple delivery boy changed. He was the 'Rebirth Destroyer', someone ruling powers deemed a threat. Chased by death and the foretelling of the world ending by his hands, Aiden soon finds that there are few people he can trust. My stories are fantasy-based and heavily influenced by classic Final Fantasy games ( by classic I mean 1-10 ) and other Japanese Role-Playing Games I used to enjoy, with one difference; the main characters are Black. July 2022 update! After months of deliberation, I've decided to continue with this cast of characters in the next books instead. The loose ends in this story have been keeping me up all night. I've gotten started on 2 sequels to this; Rebirth of Destiny II based on the good ending and the alternative ending. After I get a good backlog built up they'll be published once a week.
