Dantera sighed deeply as Yoreno sat in a chair. There were dozens of guards about. “It wasn’t your fault, Yoreno.”
“If I could have just—“
“No!” Dantera snapped. “Cypia was a competent adventurer and mage—more so than you. What happened was the fault of that—that killer! Do you understand?”
Yoreno nodded.
“Now,” she said. “I suppose there is no point trying to learn the identity of this Lord Brailar you’ve told me about. Apparently this shape shifter has changed forms yet again when he attacked you. We can safely assume that Sir Moryss is also dead.”
“We should lock the castle down,” Sir Cedrik said. “We search for the killer until we find him.”
“I will speak to the king,” Dantera said. “I think we should consider stopping the festivities.”
“Do you think he will allow it?” Yoreno asked.
“I do not know. But we must try, or else the next victim could be a visiting noble, or gods forbid, someone from their royal families. This can start a war.”
“They usually have very good security,” Sir Cedrik said. “Even with his shape shifting powers—and apparently his ability to navigate the castle by way of the windows and outside ledges, it would still be difficult.”
“But still possible,” Dantera said. “We do not know this killer’s motives. For all we know, his next target is the king or the princess. Come, Yoreno. We will speak with the king.”
He stood, feeling completely numb.
“Hey,” she said, snapping her fingers. “We have to stay focused. I am angry and distraught about Cypia as well, but we will have to mourn her later. For now—we must be adventurers—professionals. We will find this threat and we will end it, Yoreno! I swear!”

Glancing into her eyes, he nodded, feeling a new sense of resolve and strength in his spirits. Dantera was a leader. She knew what had to be done.
From numbness, Yoreno’s feelings resolved into anger and hatred. She was right. They would find this man—and they were going to kill him. If not for the first few he had murdered, then for Cypia.
She had been his friend.
Yoreno would avenge her.
“All right,” he said, nodding firmly as he made tight firsts.

Force of Will
This is my attempt at blending a typical fantasy isekai of sword and sorcery with a xianxia cultivation style. Hopefully its a good attempt. I am a first time writer, so feel free to critique me! Comments, ratings, messages whatever! I'm taking it all as constructive feedback I promise! =========================================================================================================================== There was William a bright young lad who, through his father's rigorous training starting at a young age, managed to be accepted as a Page with a potential for knighthood with enough hard work. The kid was going to go places. There was also William, fresh out of college and just aimlessly working at local restaurants and bars just enjoying life and not doing anything with his degree. Pretty much just spending his life having a good time doing whatever he wants. Obviously these are two different Williams. Or are they? Join the second Will as he awakes in a new body and discovers exactly what this new experience entails for him.

"Elves of the Northern Vale" A Tundrawolf Story
As happened many times in the past the Fell Ice once again charged down from the north and attacked the world in its effort to turn it into a frozen ball of ice. Only the White Magic and it's ally the Sun could stand against such a vast enemy. From their home in the Valley of the Sun the great tribe of Elves could only watch as the monumental fight unfolded. As the battle intensified and the valley became threatened the tribe separated back into their four original tribes and each made their way back to their ancestral homes. Within their Vales, behind thick stone walls and under powerful domes of magic, they were protected from the onslaught upon the earth. The Elves watched for thousands upon thousands of turns as the war raged overhead. The Fell Ice against the Sun and the White Magic were locked in a struggle lasting for an age, with neither side claiming victory as the earth was ravaged. In time the Fell Ice retreated, as it had so many times in the past. Beaten, yet not defeated, only biding it's time for the next attack. It returned to its frozen Kingdom at the Top of the World, thus ending this last Age of Ice. This time, as the earth warmed around them, the Elves remained secluded from the world in their hidden Vales. They observed from afar life returning to the lands and took stock of man becoming the dominant ones as their numbers grew and spread. As the Elves watched they felt safe and secure in their Vale strongholds. They had no idea of the danger that was about to befall them. This is a stand-alone sequel to my story "Druids Bane".
