Everyone quickly finished washing up and went downstairs as they started to solidified the entrance of the Hotel as they pushed the still intact cars in front of the entrance forming a semi-circle with them, like that if ever some of the beasts push the car it will block the entrance and leave them enough time to react to escape if things were dangerous.

it makes them feel safer than just having the entrance wide open for any beasts to enter.

Since with their huge body, few beasts could enter through the hall door and could only destroy the building which shouldn't be that easy, only some small insects could enter, and although they were fast, it was easy to slow them down with Sarah's skill they killed them.

" We need to be quick and go harvest some food before it gets totally dark, our supply won't last long with how much we need to eat to stay in good shape and be able to fight "

Sarah said to Claire as they were going downstairs her face filled with worry as she was thinking what their group needed, she just checked Chris state and he seemed to heal faster than she tough even if he looked like he won't awake today it was a good start, and for Hector, she already healed him he just needed to rest and he would be fine although he would have a scar on his left cheek he would survive everyone here had some scar, so it was common by now and it seemed that it could disappear as long they keep leveling up making those scar slowly disappear.

now clean and wearing decent clothes, they seemed much more like normal people before the Apocalypse with no blood covering them and ragged clothes only riding their sensitive part when they came back from their hunt.

" no need for that this hotel seems pretty big we can just search the different floors, and found the kitchen and the food storage it should last us enough long and if we check the others hotel not far from here, it should last us at least for a month depending on how much we need to eat "

Claire said she didn't found Sarah idea bad but for now, instead of food it was better to think of to increase their strength first, she sighed as she thought that she missed Chris at least with him in charge they always go out making her feel free now having to think of the life of other depending on their choices she felt like suffocating, the sound of their footstep reseasoning in the empty stairs.

Once John asked the state of Chris everyone who was chatting among themself as they were enjoying the beautiful sunset looked back at her.

She could think of it since she was on the back and could see the complete image of the battlefield while they fight.

apart maybe for Lester group that was new everyone was ok with this as by now they all realized that the old world is collapsing and now they needed the strength to survive in the new one which is why Chris was so eager to level up and without they know, they too had the same thought.

But were still reluctant to admit that it was their new life-fighting eating sleeping and then again fighting......

For now, they need to search for food.

The search for food quickly started as the group was divided into three Sarah, Emily, Philip, Eillen, and John with Lester and Clement, and George group would secure the last floors still not cleared about four of them, making sure there weren't some insects hiding or some beasts enough small to stay in the hotel.

While the other will go to check the surroundings to search for water and food and after that comeback and check the hotel storage, for now, it was the more important, after securing the hotel.

Edward, are you crazy...!, can't you open it less loudly, or do you want to attract unwanted beasts," Claire said almost freaking out as she was looking outside from a window and turned when she heard the noise this idiot is making she did her best to not yell at him sending him a firing glare instead, they were now in front of a door leading to the underground of the hotel they already searched all the customer room at the ground-floor and they only found some snacks and a lot of drink from whisky, beers, and wine stocked in some empty room only with fridge and sofa and tables.

Alex and Fred were next to them and looked at her reaction and chuckled, this hotel so far was full and needed all that a customer could want a small sports room to workout, a cafeteria, or what it looked like with several small tables dispersed in a room that was as big as three or four-chamber which were on the west wing of the hotel.

now they were in the west wings a corridor that led to an exit at the end it was the same for the east wing this hotel seemed cheap from the outside but once inside it was bigger than they thought it was surely because of the long corridor and the architecture, at each floor a corridor to the west and east and with room on each side, and at the end staircase for those that don't want to take the elevator making it look like a small labyrinth if someone isn't familiar with the place.

Edward only looked at her and shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly as there wasn't any key it was the only way and he was too lazy to wait to search for it and didn't try to explain it to her.

the door opened they started to go downstairs, and once there, there was a door leading to the parking with cars that could be seen from the small window on the door, at their head height, and to their right a small corridor that they followed.

and there were only two doors door one to the left was written the word 'storage' and at their right was written 'Staffroom', seeing that, they smiled at each other they may have enough food but this feeling to be able to take what you want was intoxicating no more having to care about money.

Edward with his shield in his hands pushed the door open like if it was nothing after three consecutive hits as he used his fool strength he was able to withstand one to two hits of some huge evolved beasts so it wasn't that difficult for him, his arms and shoulders became sore from it but he smiled as he was more excited to witness that he was becoming a superhuman being able to open a door with row strength, this time Claire didn't complain they were in the underground so it was ok.

The sound of a loud crash was heard as they felt the ground shake on their foot, followed by the sound of cars sound resounded with broken glasses like if a car accident happened, making their heart beat faster as they turned to where the sounds came from.

But just as they rushed to the garage door, and opened it they heard two beasts howl coming from the parking entrance as the shadow of the head of a beast that looked like a tiger or at least something close to it peaking at the entrance.

And another one coming from inside the parking as they saw, cars were being turned over like if they were mere toys, the light of the setting sun entering the deem parking showing the figure of a two-meter cat with black fur his yellow iris shining with slit pupils proving it was indeed a cat, and at the parking entrance a real tiger was growling in its direction his figure completely blocking the entrance like a mighty king.

So far it was the size of this cat and the tiger didn't intimidate them that much, they knew that their size made them only have row power and unless they can hit them, it was pretty useless to have a big body if not having the corresponding agility to use this body to its full extent.

but as they compared the huge pigs and rats they fought against to those two beasts, it wasn't the same at all they only encountered rats and insects so far and only some dogs group reached them a good lesson as those ones know how to use their body and used their small gain in intelligence to fight in a group.

Being natural predators the feeling, those beasts gave off made them feel uneasy much stronger than they ever met before, and their animal instinct was starting to kick in, telling them to close the door and leave quietly, as they gulped saliva, their hands tightening the grip on their weapons.

" Stop it, calm down guys we just go check on them if they are to deal with we can leave, Edward go in front we back you up from each side like always "

Claire said her eyes that were filled with happiness from finding food, were now shining with killing intent as she draws her sword out from its sheath and opened the door slowly.

Her mind was telling her it was a bad idea but she first looked at their environment, so she felt less scared to go take a closer look.

looking if some beasts or insects were around waiting in ambush, as she walked slowly, Edward came in front of her, his shield raised in front of him as his gaze looked in front his body tensing as he cursed Claire inwardly,'Why wanting to bring them down with her just to take a closer look at those beasts '

leaving his side to the others, he focused on the cat who was standing in the middle of the Underground parking entrance wide road space his body almost touching the sail of the parking.

The shadow of the huge cat leaping forward out of the parking toward the entrance was the only thing he was able to see just when he tried to look closely at the cat.

bumping against the tiger, the cat rolled on his back trying to bite the tiger neck, the latter retreated, raising his pow hitting the face of the cat who was trying to raise seeing that he missed his attack, sending it to the ground a few feet away from the entrance of the parking as the cat staggered to raise shooking its head.

The group was stunned at what just happened they just heard the sound of the ground cracking near where the cat stood up a moment ago before his figure reappeared next to the tiger at the entrance.

howls and sound of something being hit were heard after that as the cat body was sent rolling, leaving their sight.

what what happened was so fast that they hadn't time to process what was happening but they came out of their thought when they felt the others coming out too, as they looked at each other not sure why they even went outside, in the first place too confident because they knew the door wasn't far from them, and this cat was rather big and should have a hard time to move easily.

But after seeing how it leaped at the tiger and turned its body on the ground swiftly to the tiger's neck they felt goosebumps as they imagined themself at the place of the tiger and none of them were able to say they would even be able to react in time.

Maybe Edward with his shield could survive but the others didn't have any hope, Claire might have a strong bloodline ability but if she can't use it in time it's completely useless.

But just as they were about to come out to see how was going the fight between the two beasts, a horrendous pressure fell on them like as they felt a wave of energy coursing on their body as the figure of two beasts entangled each other in the air, before falling to the ground making the ground slightly tremble. bammm! broommm!!! their ears who calmed down, ringed once again as they looked at the clash of the two beasts of three-meter tall from downward from the exit of the underground parking, the pressure swapped their body as the same feeling of being a prey coursed all the fiber of their bodies, but they quickly shuddered as they took back the control over their body, as beads of sweat formed on their forehead. Making her want to kill herself, she never felt so painful before compared to the headache after drinking too much or because of a fever, it was nothing at all. After learning what she said they quickly calmed down although they still stayed away in case she became crazy again, and seeing that Claire even if most of the time she was indifferent about how others looked at her when even her best friend looked at her like that she had to think if their relationship was so weak that because of what she did unconsciously after so much day of fighting it was normal for her to react like that when she became unconscious suddenly thinking it was the wave of energy was some kind of attack of the beasts who were fighting.
