With My energy perception, I was able to feel faintly the energy of the group getting more away from me, I didn't know how to feel I was ready to not be able to escape after I sent Hector.

But even if I know they didn't have any other choices, I was still affected by it.

My mind was going crazy the pain to have my flesh being torn apart was still vivid in my mind and was crushing my willpower to keep fighting to stay alive, if not from blood loss I will die it would be those beasts, I was barely able to support myself thank to my bloodline that was able to give me enough energy to escape the beasts that kept jumping at me, it was like I was a punching ball only escaping the serious injury the rest of the attack still hit my body while I dodged left to right.

But it wasn't a solution and by now some of the monsters with two horns were coming at me they had their mouth wide open with saliva running down.

I looked around me for a chance to escape I wasn't stupid enough to stay here and wait to die and started to run while escaping the beasts' attack but I wasn't able to dodge all of them and got hit in the back the claws of whatever beasts hit me letting a huge gash adding to the one I already got from when I protected Hector.

Sending me in the horde of beasts but I didn't let go my sword and with my left strength tried to balance my body in the air and jump on the body of the beasts below me but instead slipped my foot covered in blood and the back of the beast that had its fur soaked in blood too didn't help.

I thought while falling on the ground before I continued to run among the beasts, they weren't all trying to kill me, and the fact that I was one head smaller than them make it easier for me to escape them.

With some of them fighting each other making it possible for me to distance myself a little from the crowd, the growls, and screams of pain of some unlucky beasts that got killed being eaten alive by a group of beasts reasoning in my ears.

Once I came out of the slaughtering of the horde of beasts the street I was in was less crowded and seeing buildings in front of me.

I didn't think twice and run to one of the buildings in front of me that seemed fine from the beasts' fight in the street I was lucky the door was already open with blood flowing on the stairway and a lower part of a human body at the entrance.

I entered and closed the door behind me before I felt my body almost being pushed by a blow from the beasts that chased me trying to enter making the door and the walls tremble from their attack.

I looked around me the inside wasn't particularly big while putting my body against the door to stop them for a second to clear my mind on what to do but I was too weak and more and more part of the door was getting destroyed by them.

So I stopped blocking them and run inside the buildings not sure where I was going I couldn't use my energy sense anymore the pain taking all my willpower to keep my mind clear and my see almost blinded with the blood of monsters I could barely see where I was going.

Followed just behind by me were some of the small beasts that were t level two the level three and four beasts was too tall for the small door and kept trying to enter hitting the walls of the buildings but it seemed this one was able to support their attack for sometimes.

I let out a sigh of relief noticing that the stronger beasts wouldn't be able to enter quickly letting me the time to finish the level two beasts.

And just like that, I killed five level two raccoons that were chasing after me in the building using the stairway to go upstairs to kill them more easily, although I needed two minutes to finish them due to my weak states, now leaning panting heavily.

My shoulders and arms had some huge gashes to the point I could slightly see some of my bones.

I wasn't sure which floor I was on and it wasn't like if it mattered I could still hear the beasts hitting the building but not so strong as before but I didn't relax, these monster with two horns seemed to be at least as smart as a human or close enough and I doubt they would give up so easily.

But I quickly got up opening the stair door looking around the hallway empty and walked as rapidly I could trying to distance myself from the beasts trying to enter the building.

all the room in this building had their door open and some trace of blood that was going to the stairs I just came out but no corpse.

I entered a random room once I felt that I was a little away from the sounds of beasts in the hallway and closed the door.

Before collapsing and faint even before I could check if there was any danger in the room, but I saw a screen appear in front of me just before I fall completely unconscious that disappeared just as it came before I felt a surge of energy entering me.

I woke up sometime later trying to get up not sure how much time I was unconscious, but when I heard growls of beasts outside and the sun still lightening the room at least I didn't sleep more than two hours.

But I quickly remembered that I was still being chased by those assholes with two horns and looked around quickly taking a look from the window of the room.

It's then that I noticed that all the wounds on my arms and legs disappeared with only small gashes that weren't healed and when I touched my back I felt that the wound wasn't as wide as before my legs were too now the same but I couldn't still feel the pain like if I got trampled by a

I wanted to curse when I saw that all the energy point I gained for the last hour before the beasts' horde and for killing a dozen of level four during the last fight I had gained with hector, it was a fucking whole level I had lost but I quickly stopped thinking about it.

In exchange for one level, I got the serious wounds of my body healed to a certain degree and without that, I wasn't sure if I could even move before one day or two by letting my ability work on itself but with the beasts tracking me it wasn't an option.

I dismissed the screen and looked at my status screen a new case with my ability appeared.

But when I saw the part that I couldn't use my level how I want to heal me I wasn't that surprised and I wasn't stupid enough to use that option unless I don't have another choice.

My check on my status screen was interrupted when I saw a fucking huge spider near the window with his multiples eyes looking at me before it let out a pitched scream.

I searched for my sword it's now that I noticed that my sword was near the room door and ran to grab but the spider noticing its prey running used its leg hitting the window sending glasses everywhere in the room with some of them hitting me in the back before I roll taking my sword.

And dashed at the spider that although its huge body tried to enter hitting the walls of the room near the windows, making the room tremble.

I thought while starting to go for the door it was useless to fight this spider here and besides, it will attract more beasts.

Leaving the room the spider seeing its pry escape stopped hitting the wall with its legs that looked like some spears with a hard and sharp tip leaving before the wall collapse just a moment later due to all the holes it created in it.

Chris on the other hand didn't know that the spider stopped chasing after him and continued to search for the exit of the buildings taking the stairs descending to the ground floor but met some insect that was eating corpses of dogs and others type of beasts.

I didn't want to fight so many beasts now although I could feel my bloodline excited to fight even knowing that it would be hard for me to finish them, but I couldn't stay there I didn't know how the others were going and my body although my serious wounds were healed the rest of the wounds were still healing at a slower rate.

So I started to run not more trying to avoid beasts but the beasts following me seemed really fast I couldn't distance them although I kept turning on smalls alley so that they won't be able to enter but they somehow still find me and by doing that I was starting to lose the energy of the beast horde I was following to come back to Lisa and the group.

On the other hand, the situation with Lisa and the group was starting to be difficult they were escaping for almost one hour already and their body was starting to give up and it was even more visible with the new group of people that were with them some people were attacked by some spiders and birds as soon as someone started to slow down.

And Clement group lost the two guys that had a shield while they were protecting Louise and Stella that got almost killed by two Ants of the size of a car that appeared in one of the streets they took and wasn't able to react in time but were saved by the two guys but in exchange weren't able to retreat when a group of ant followed just behind overwhelming them, while the two women having remorse and the rest of clement group kept running trying to be as close of the snake that they were afraid of one or two hours before.

But it wasn't over since a hundred ants cornered the group making it possible for the beasts' horde to catch them up.

But they were lucky since the ants instead of continuing to attack them started to attack the horde beasts to protect themself from the horde beasts, with only a handful of beasts and ants continuing to attack the group.

But With Sarah and Emily's cover, Edward and John were able to take care of them and escaped while trying to not attract too much attention from the monsters with two horns, that were behind the horde of beasts but it wasn't really working and they have been noticed by some of those monsters that alerted their kin making the group understand that they were even more dangerous and intelligent that they thought.

And seeing that a group of twenty of them were coming toward them even with the beast fighting but were still able to advance steadily but with their pace, they would need more time to go through the beasts' horde.

Edward knew that or at least hoped it would be like that and didn't stop his advance with John and Lisa next to him advancing protecting each other their body screaming of pain after one hour of running and fighting in the city center alley.

with the others following behind Fred, claire, Philip, and Eillen doing their best to protect their back with Sarah and Emily help at the middle of the entire group and the new group to the sides with their shields raised.

They were now a little away from the beasts' horde but still kept their attention on the surroundings searching for a place where they could all rest it wasn't still night but they weren't in a state to fight anymore they were able to escape the two Horned monsters chase.

But only after claire killed right away one of them that was about to kill John by suddenly dashing at them and reaching them in one breath defying their logic dodging the beasts in front of him but still kept the same speed as if there wasn't any obstacle in front of him, the others seemed not being able to do the same and had to protect themself from the beasts' since now they weren't anymore waiting behind.

But they were lucky since it seemed that not all the monsters with two horns could do that and after killing him or rather making him fall unconscious and got eaten by some beasts that saw an easy prey laying on the ground.

The two-horned monsters seeing how ended their kin got angry letting out loud growls glancing at Claire that was barely doing her best to not faint, they tried their bests to advance but they were merely able to advance slowly since even with their strength they weren't able to tear a path through the group of beasts carelessly.

Making it possible for Edward and the group to escape although running mechanically their legs being about to give up, taking claire and John with them before starting to distance once again from the beasts' horde and the group of monsters.

Sarah and Emily did their best to minimize their losses but were barely able to protect themself only thank to Sarah snake, that protected them and Philip Son the poor kid doing his best to not be left by following what he was told.
