After that, we went back to the underground parking the first thing we did was to eat all the food we found and we once again witnessed how much we needed to eat to be satisfied since even with the food we found we needed to eat close to half of the food to be full like if with our strengthening our need for food also increased.

'maybe it's time to think to eat the meat of evolved beasts it sounds like a bad idea but if we keep like that even all the food in this mall wouldn't last us long'

I told to myself since even if we found some foods that were still intact it seemed those rats and some other beasts went to find food and eating human food is ok for them, most of the shops with food were destroyed turned upside down.

Lisa after finishing her can of food had still some left on her cheeks and came to me it was strange to see her like that as if it was a normal day but with her body with marks left by the clacks and bites of the evolved beasts it left a huge contrast.

" nothing just that we may have to try to eat the meat of evolved beasts who know it might be good "

- " yeah but how will we be able to keep them for a long period we don't have fridges anymore"

She said while checking her status and it was true that it was a problem but for now, we don't have to think about this so I just told her that we will deal with it when it's time, for now, we needed to level up and faster and tomorrow will be a new hunt.

While we were talking the others also were trying to find how to pass their time it was already dark outside after we came back and it was completely silent making it feel like some beasts were waiting for a foolish prey to make noise and kill them, but we were in the underground parking and a little far from the stairs so we could talk but still without being too loud since as long we can concentrate ourself we could hear noise from a long distance the beasts outside should also be able to do it even better than us.

The others after were now checking their status Edward was sitting with the groups and checked his status he was now level three and he allocates his stat point he gained after leveling up since they needed to adapt to the new energy after the level up they couldn't add their stat directly but after their quick look outside they had the time to accept this new energy, he chooses mainly the strength and endurance and with the help of energy, it was a good choice since he could now use his heavy shield like a weapon and not just to protect his body.

it was the same for everyone with the system they choose to allocate to a special stats with five stats point each level up and the energy to boost them, to help them fighting more easily and stabilize the lack for some stat, for Emily it was dexterity and intelligence making her having a better control for her aim and combat ability to shot more energy arrow.

Philip, Alex, Fred, and Eillen did the same that Edward, and by now with the fact that they didn't need to lift a huge shield it ma them faster and stronger all that was left was Sarah that allocate always two stats point to her INT and the rest to strength and dexterity.

Claire, Lisa, and John had already finished checking their screen and their bloodline was now at medium stage1 bloodline all they needed is three more energy core and they will be at high stage1 but they heard from Chris they would have a bottleneck so they didn't rush it and tried to feel their bloodline.

The group of clement couldn't be more than happy to have a strong group near them for the night they didn't gain a level but at least they know more in what situation the city and maybe the world is.

The night went quick the two groups have woken up at what seemed to be 9 A.M but being underground it was like if it was just sunset with some light coming from the stairs not far from them.

I woke up with Lisa in my arms we were sleeping in a huge size sleeping bag and it was strange to wake up with someone in my arms but I liked it, I kissed her forehead and came out of the sleeping bag letting her sleep before everyone is completely waking up, then took one bottle of water in my bag and washed my face a little away from the group, it felt good and with the air being fresh this morning it felt really great.

yesterday after everyone checked their status screen we talked for some time about the level of the beasts being stronger and the fact that we will stay in this underground for one more day even if Emily was a little against it but after we explained her she calmed down.

I then heard footsteps and turned my head from where came the footstep and saw clement.

" Hey Chris did you sleep well "

" yeah it was the first night we sleep without being worried to have a beast attack us at any time "

I told him even if I wasn't completely sure about that, but my tired body after lying down did the rest itself.

" so you will leave today "

he asked and I could feel he was tense about it

" no we will stay a little longer and after that, we will leave "

I said and drunk my water.

" So what will you guys do today "

I quickly told him we would go out hunting, he asked to come with us with his group but I told him it was too dangerous we already have to drag a kid with us that we needed to protect all the time so it wouldn't possible.

After that, he came back to his group I did the same too everyone already woke up.

when I came back the first thing I heard was Philip's son voice, he was with his parents eating a piece of bread with dry sausage and water next to him and the fact he was still cheerful even after all that he went through with us was already good for a kid of his ages.

I greeted them and went to eat too we didn't take long to eat, the morning was good everyone had a smile on his face after a good night without stress.

Our small talk of the morning after relaxing to prepare ourselves for the new days of fight, was as always about someplace to take when needed in the group but by now it was just to waste time before we go out.

We went upstairs after some time, the group of clement followed us but stayed near the stairs we gave them some advice when fighting they decided to stay in the mall and look for some low-level beasts even if the lowest bests they will found would be two levels higher than them but it was already good that they had the courage even if they know they may die or just that they didn't have any choice anymore and we went outside the mall outside like always was filled with growls and howls of evolved beasts.

And we saw some lone beasts of level three but not level four or five near this area but after they saw our group they turned in one of the alleys of the three roads of the plaza.

" What about this we should be able to survive the same group of beasts we can use a bet with the faster in our group attract some beasts like that we won't lose our time searching without a goal "

Sarah said and everyone was ok with this plan but the problem was who will play the bet.

We placed ourselves at the center of the plaza and placed some vehicles around us attracting some beasts, that were killed by Sarah and Emily before they could even leave their range of attack most of them at level three.

Ten or so minutes later Lisa came back but compared to our plan it was a group like the one we faced before yesterday but now we were stronger it will be easier and in the last options, we could use the mall to kill them one by one.

She was running like she never did before in her life compared when running in a group, running alone with a group of level three beasts at your back is pretty much unpleasant she could feel that every small movement she made could kill her with no one next to her to protect her.

' You guys better be ready or I swear I will kill you '

She didn't have to wait too long as she saw an arrow and ice cone hitting the beasts behind her at the head or the torso.

But her decision to turn her head make her slow down for a small second but those beasts behind were already almost next to her she turned her body and slashed at the beasts jumping at her while pushing herself backward.

the beasts jumping at her was cut the throat, it looked like a squirrel but of the size of a normal dog, but he was quickly stamped by the beasts behind him, a prompt appeared in front of her but she dismissed it as she continued to run toward the group after rolling on her back.

and When she was just next to the group and was about to jump behind the cars, she saw a shadow pass her and kill one cat of the size of a tiger in a swift motion, slicing his head off she didn't stand there and went behind the cars followed by Chris just behind her after he killed another evolved beasts.

She thanked him that he returned with a smile, the group was already fighting with the newly arrived beasts after they came behind the cars the others advanced covering them and started an easy battle but after the fight in the mall, they were already able to fight a high number of beasts and still keep their formation in form no letting a single beasts pass them unless they do it in purpose.

at first, it was a mess with the beasts attacking them from the corner or simply a huge number of them pushing the cars almost making them fall but Edward and Hector were able to stand for a split second before the group responded by an ice cone and arrow killing those beats pushing the cars.

after that, it was just a battle of endurance the beasts was at the same level as them but with the basic movement each of them learned from their path it could be sword basic movement or hammer basic movement it depended on their weapon and they were now taking this battle as a training session.

Even if they paid it by the mark of bites or claws on their shoulder and arms with sometimes huge gashes but they found a new solution for this Sarah only used her ice cone skills when there were too many beasts, slowing them with her skill killing some while making the group take a quick breathe and kill those that were frozen in this split second.

And she only used her healing skills if the wound was really serious even if any wound they had was serious they had to wait for the end of the battle, like that Sarah gained a path in how to use properly a dag making her look like an assassin when using the movement she learned but her low stat in dexterity showed as she always lacked the precision to definitely kill the beasts but with her energy, she could still finish them boosting her attack.

We weren't sure how long the battle lasted but we didn't have the time for that has now a new group of beasts came at us, attracted by the noise even if they seemed more to fight among them being of different species from the insect of two-meter with different subspecies and there was even larva huge as a car but this one was killed due to his slow speed even if he sprayed a liquid that corroded the beasts that came in contact with this liquid.

" Ok guys this group seems a little lost what should we do "

Alex asked since only a small part of the group came at us around thirty evolved beasts and there were chickens and lizards all of them was at least two meters high, and some snake mixed in this group.

" it's our chance we will kill them like that those in the back will be an easy cake "

Fred came in front of the cars with his body now soaked in blood like everyone he now emitted an aura like everyone around him when he was immersed in battle.

" I will go deal with the lizards with hector Edward you stay with Lisa to deal with the remaining evolved beasts "

Edward although wanted to also go for the lizard know that he got a place and if he left his position almost all the group will be in danger.

she knows that everyone was eager to fight compared to before when they didn't want to take any risk by now they understood the more they fought or make something that could be recognized by the system there is a good chance to get a better path.

Chris and hector placed themself in front of the cars and when the lizard around four of them, their scales was shinning with the sunlight in red color, they growled at us before the four of them charged at us, like always Hector went in front blocking the first attack but this time he was pushed back, his shield with a huge crack was now almost destroyed after this attack even if he deviated most of the blow it still wouldn't last long.

He only sighed before he let down his shield it was now useless he knows that it wouldn't last long better start to adapt to fight without a shield-like Chris and maybe at the end of the day he will get a path of short sword movement.

The others behind were fighting the rest of the beasts that attacked from the sides, Chris didn't wait for the lizard to attack after Hector was pushed backs, he stepped aside and pushed his sword piercing the eye of the lizard, he went in frenzied anger pushing even the others lizard.

He took this chance before getting attacked to pierce the remaining intact eye of the lizard, but he saw him coming, it attacked using his long and sharp claws to kill this puny human, followed by a gust of wind but Chris reacted in time dodging to the side and dashed to the lizard at the same time piercing his eyes using his energy to strengthen his blow pressing his word deep in the lizard head killing it in the spot.

He received a prompt for his killing but dismissed it took out his sword and went for the next lizard.

Hector too went to fight with the lizard and with Chris help they were able to kill the four lizards but he didn't escape without having his tight cut by the sharp claw of the lizard he was fighting.

but it wasn't for nothing that they had to fight those lizards since the others were able to take down the other beasts they had to adapt to the new beast but with Emily support and Edward and Lisa cover they finished them with some injury but now with their bodies being tougher than before unless they fought with an evolved beasts like the lizards with their body being protected by hard scales that were harder to kill, the others beasts could've been killed by aiming at their vital point.

After finishing this group of beasts the other beasts that were still fighting a little far from the plaza were frozen by Sarah's skill during their fight, and we finished them but this time only Lisa and Edward advanced side by side.

and the others behind supported them and once they were exhausted or needed a break the others passed in the front fighting head-on just like that they killed all the beast's group with some that were attracted by the noise.
