Once we were in the house we took a look inside the house to be sure it was safe, after that we sat down on chairs or sofa too lazy to go upstairs to find a room, and this time no one talked we were too exhausted and only wanted to rest for some time before going out once again to at least attain the level two before starting to go find the others family since we only saw level two to 4 since we entered the city.

If we could gain one or two more levels we should be able to at least survived what will happen when we enter Centertown, I looked at Lisa who was lying next to me her eyes closed she seemed asleep so I didn't move even if the position wasn't the best.

it was hard to believe that even in this dangerous city where an evolved beast can jump at you to kill you even if you are in a house they were able to sleep so easily but if someone takes a closer look they will notice that when there was some scream from the beast outside the house they grabbed unconsciously their weapon.

After so many surprise attacks their body started to respond automatically to danger, which proved even with not so much danger the pressure meaning from the city was suffocating, and one mistake to underestimated even the weakest beast could be fatal.

After almost two or three hours we started to wake up slowly, even if we wanted a good sleep it wasn't the time so we ate something before going outside to hunt again.

" claire where do you think there more evolved beast "

when we were advancing through the road trying to stay not too close to the building or the street just enough to react to any situation that could occur, I heard the question of Sarah and could guess what she wanted to do.

"it's not like that it works and besides I can only feel if someone in front of me but maybe later I could use that like a detector and with the noise, these beast are doing it's should be easy to find them "

Sarah then asked us if it's should be fine but w didn't have a better idea so we decided to go with it.

It was strange that the city which was quite started slowly to get louder each hour that passed the howl and some scream could be heard all around the city.

we were advancing in the road and when we heard a fight not far from us we could see some building not far from us with a group of bird and dogs fighting each other it was the first time I saw a group of dogs that I tough they were some type of beast after the evolution they didn't work in a team but it seemed I was wrong.

while I wanted to distance myself from those beasts my curiosity takes advantage of me and I asked the others who were looking around afraid that the noise of the fight not far from us will attract some beast near us, so we took a place where we have a view of the ongoing fight.

" guys I have a plan since we can't hunt like that roaming in the street hoping to come across a lone beast to kill and besides we need more energy or stat point to level up once again "

I asked them since for me it was the best chance to gain energy point even if there is some risk, and my bloodline was starting to react with the view o the fight I could feel the energy slowly parkouring my body

" so what you want us to fight those beasts are you crazy they don't look like those weak rats that we barely managed to kill "

Edward directly rejected my idea and me who was thinking that he started to stop to think only of him not that I couldn't understand why he said that but it just been a day and the rat and dog are evolving faster than us and with some of them even stronger than their pair, we manage to kill those ones with sheer luck.

" shushhh don't start now we will wait and see what happen first and since their so much noise it will surely attract those rat they charge at anything they heard or saw, so if we use properly the building around us preparing for a hard fight and keep a look around us for not having to be taken by surprise by one of the stronger evolved beast we should be able to level up before the night I think "

hector was the one who came with a perfect plan at least better than the one I was about to propose; he looked at us waiting for our answer.

indeed his idea was good all the only new thing is to memorize our surroundings like that we wouldn't be in a panic about where to go if things get bad quickly.

So to resume the neighborhood wasn't that big there were three roads with abandoned vehicles not sure where was the person at who belong the cars, around here with a Carrefour behind the beast who were fighting and each road where leading ether to a little market area or to the house zone and the last one was heading toward Philip house so we decided to stay on the street which leads to the market area since even if there is large space in some part of the street the vehicle around was playing a role of a labyrinth which should limit somehow the beasts and if we couldn't keep on anymore we could still go inside one on the small store around here to be able to handle more easily the fight.

once we were sure that was good, we checked our equipment one last time, and even if they seemed like garbage now with how much we could our skin due to scratch of claw or bite but what surprised the group was that Emily and Sarah leather armor apart from some small scratch the overall seemed fine but given that they were what we could call long-range fighter it was normal.

We then slowly approached the beasts who were fighting the closer we wee the more I could feel the impression emanating from the beast it wasn't enough strong to make me unable to move or the other and it wasn't directed toward us so it was even weaker, when we were at a good distance to attack them quickly we stopped behind the cars, around the dogs all the cars were crushed or at least some part of them which surprised it's just the start of the evolution and they could already make so much damage what if they become even stronger.

I didn't taste know how much damage I could make but still for a normal person like me who was one day ago going to college now facing this scene was making me only more excited instead of afraid.

When I concentrated my look on the fight the dogs were about twenty of them and it was almost the same with the birds looking at the body in the ground they were surely more than what I counted but since we started preparing the area enough should have passed to have some of them die and they were mixed with some corpse of birds, they didn't have any advantage against the birds but they were fierce and each time one of the birds were piercing their skin they rolled on the ground making unable the bird to fly they bite their wind our nake making blood fall on their fur.

" Ok guys I think we should attack the dogs first while they are attacking the bird "

after noticing that they repeated the same method I told the other that we should take the chance while the dogs were distracted to quickly kill some of them then deal with the others since the birds will attack the dog we should not have to worry too much about them but just in case we prepared ourself with our back facing each other letting less weak point.

They looked at the fight and also noticed the same thing and followed what we decided keeping the same group when preparing the area we waited for the next attack of the birds.
