《Killing [Gods] With My Sister》Chapter: 43

Both the creatures that came off the purple portal consisted of a dozen animals and mosnters’ heads stitched together into a ball of two meters in diameter, but each cranium had a perforation of a different size, exposing the brain.
“What… is this…?”, Nif asked.
“I don’t know, but it is [Level: 110]”, I said, as my sister and I shielded the rest of the [Party]. Turning back to the others, I concluded: “Stay away.”
There wasn’t any more time to dialogue; all of the creature’s mouths stitched into the [Treppaned Experiments] opened up, and with a guttural scream, they conjured magic: a dozen of smaller portals similar to the large one behind the enemies opened up, and deformed hands extended out of it, in pursue of my sister and I, the limbs extending impossibly long.
“[Lungs Strengthening]!”, Tapa quickly conjured, and gave back some [SP] to Hunah, adding it to the energy twin my twin sister had naturally recovered since the end of the boss fight.
Immediately after this, Hunah jumped into action and cracked her whip, cutting and slashing the hands that came for her.
Just like when we battled inside Incute’s pocket dimension for the first time, both of us understood we wouldn’t be able to win against the enemies if they fought together, and so I moved away from my sister, who wasn’t so much concerned with her lack of [Stamina Points] anymore, and brought one of the [Treppaned Experiments] with me; my magic-user mummy used the same electrical attack with which he stopped the hatchling dragon’s breath, and carbonized the limbs that pursed me so that they crumbled under their own weight, into ashes.
“[Summon: Fake Dagger]”, just like my sister, quite far from the ideal energy reserves, I was forced to summon a weaker weapon before dashing after the enemy.

That abomination of a creature, however, was [Level: 114], it didn’t have only one attack, and as I was approached, the [Treppaned Experiment] let out another painful scream, and all of the mouths around its levitating and somewhat spherical body started to spill out blood, which pooled underneath it. Just as I was about to hit the creature, then, the blood morphed into dozens of vicious spikes, which shoot upwards.
I was protected by the copper armor I summoned previously, and ended up simply pushed back as my protection vanished in magical particles.
Even before I touched the ground again, however, the blood pool quickly moved to beneath me, and the spikes appeared a second time.
Until, that is, they were completely evaporated by the [Thunder Idolater]’s electrical magic.
I fell back safely, but the monster ahead just turned its attention to my summon, all of its dozens of animal and monster’s faces frowning and bearing their teeth, angered. My opponent flew straight, and at incredibly high speeds; while bringing out of a new portal a giant gaping maw of a crocodile; after my summon, but I saw that as an opportunity, and as the monster was passing by, I managed to follow it with my eyes thanks to my high [Perception], and drove my greenish transparent dagger straight into one of the thing’s exposed brains.
The monster screamed in pain, as it flew away, and I saw, thankfully, that even my weak attack was able to cause massive damage to the being:
[Treppaned Experiment
HP: 4331/5000]
My magic-user summon didn’t let the chance slip, and threw a ray of lighting at the wounded enemy, but this last one brought another bunch of hands from small portals, and these ones protected the monster for long enough, so it managed to regurgitate a black goo, which flew upwards and formed a ball right over the levitating [Treppaned Experiment]’s body.

I didn’t need to order my smartest creature for it to understand the danger of that black bubble, and the [Thunder Idolater] jumped before me, as the bubble exploded, and covering the surroundings in a rain of some kind of super corrosive substance; my summon shivered, but its dry throat didn’t allow it to scream as the leathery skin of the mummy was melted away, and the creature died, before exploding in a cloud of green particles.
I looked back, checking on Hunah and the rest of the [Party], but the corrosive rain didn’t seem to have covered a large arena, and they were fine. Turning back to the enemy, I knew I didn’t have any other options but to kill it immediately as I barely had any more [Magic] remaining, and my [Stamina] wouldn’t last for much longer either.
“As long as I don’t lose any limbs, it should be okay, right?”, I asked, as the monster created yet another incoming wave of guided hands.
I dashed forward, and slid under the first couple of hands, jumped over the next few that had changed their trajectories, and I was forced to cut off the last half a dozen, when my summoned weak dagger broke. It didn’t matter, however, for I almost had the monster in reach already.
The [Treppaned Experiment] did the blood pool trick again, but instead of retreat to avoid the attack altogether, I let it hit my legs, sides, and face, cutting and impaling me all around, but not mortally in any way.
Then I grabbed one of the heads of the creature. And punched, straight into one of the exposed brain.
The monster cried in just as much pain as I was, but I kept punching. The monster started to vomit the corrosive black goo again, but I didn’t stop for this either, punching, exploding brains after brain with my closed fist, dealing critical attack after critical attack, and demolishing the enemy’s [Health Points]. The magical acid rain started to fall again, and while my new cloak protected my head and back, the skin and fat on my limbs were quickly eaten away, then my muscles, but just as it was becoming hard to move my hands, to continue to punch, the ball of stitched together heads fell on the ground, suddenly not levitating anymore, nor screaming, nor answering to my attacks.
As the “[You leveled up!]” message ringed inside my head in quick sequence, I let myself slide from the monster’s corpse to the ground, and took deep breaths. I spent my twin sister a glance, and noticed she also managed to kill her opponent; many of the heads that made the disgusting spherical creature had been cut off by her whip; but she was in the same bad shape as I then.
“…Fuck! Do you two always fight like this?!”, I heard Jao breaking his controlled and positive [Party] leader persona for the first time.

Life of Numbers
Everything in life can be measured, and everything in life is measured. Each person who has ever lived has five Numbers on their arm, defining the five primary attributes of that person. Throughout someone's life, these will increase with time and effort, and all of society revolves around these Numbers. What happens when this natural system of Numbers, the basis of all of society for all of history...changes? My first fiction, so I appreciate all reviews and feedback!
8 157The Simulacrum of Dread
The entities known as the Beings of Old have long since staked claims to most of that gem-shaped manifold which is existence. Their alien, furtive, and impenetrably distant politicking has ebbed and flowed throughout past ages, beyond the awareness of most thinking creatures… and recently, it has begun to accelerate. For Sebastio Artaxerxes - and many civilians outside reality’s facets, especially in the transcendent city of Rhaagm - interest in such matters becomes far more pressing after a madman decides to claim a relic of one of the Olds. Sebastio’s demons tell him that fighting the man he once called friend will only end in tears. His soul tells him that tears are only shed by the living, and that the living at least may overcome regrets with time and effort.
8 130Grey Worlds
A mysterious incident occurred on a otherwise normal science centered world where all of the children from the age range of eight to sixteen suddenly vanished. “Where have their kids gone and will they ever return?” The now childless parents never got to really ask that question, because a strange new element replaced their lost children. This element slowly mutated the various animals that they once ruled over with their technology to the point that they were immune to their modern weaponry. The barren land of savages on a continent far away from theirs also had their children taken, but they easily mutated just like the beasts and only grew stronger thanks to the incident. A revolution of animals eventually took place after the mutations started to cause the animals to understand just how badly the humans ruined their lives and planet. Humans were the slowest to figure out how to use this strange new element to evolve, while their opponents were evolving and growing stronger by the day they couldn’t even surpass their modern technology. When humanity was on the brink of extinction a long forgotten event finally ended and their children finally started to return from the various worlds they were summoned to! It turns out that the mysterious new element that they didn’t know what to call was mana and that it’s everywhere in some fantasy planets. The children brought back a increase in technology and techniques to grow stronger with, which caused the humans to finally be able to build safe havens for their race. They grew stronger and started to finally adapt to their brand new environment. This is the story of a orphan who was taken away from his world, before he could gain a sense of attachment to the world. Who only has his older sister to care about and how he ends up adapting to the new world in front of him.------------------Dog notes by doggo First 'five' chapters aren't what the story is really about and is more of a prologue. The reason why some are separated into parts is because Doggo originally posted them as a entire chapter. The main setting is Ghost's actual world and not any foreign world. So this story was already posted once to another site or this site three years ago… and Dog is finally ending that three year hiatus! The explanation on why Dog was on a three year hiatus would of been written in the review section, but rrl doesn't allow self reviews. I'd have to create a alt just to self review which they obviously don't want even tho I'd not give myself any stars so its going to be here instead. The update schedule is a chapter a week till Dog get a editor and then two chapters a week till Dog gets enough money to pay for Dog’s bills. The final goal is to release a chapter every other day. Dog writes 4k word chapters so they are about twice as long as some of the other authors so every other day is actually more like once a day. ------------------- The part that was supposed to be the 'review' which Dog wont bother editing out repeat infomation since it wasn't supposed to go here in the first place. The first thing Dog will go over is what changed for the first 5 chapters, so that anyone who still remembers Dog's little novel and wants to continue from where Dog originally left off can decide whether or not to reread it. Also Dog is moving over to qidan simply because dog like the app they have. Dog won't go premium even if Qidan tells dog to and will simply move back to royalroad or create a blog. The things that changed over the years are mainly two important things. The first is that Dog changed the first person point of view to a third person, because Dog read a really bad first person novel and it reminded dog of dogs own novel. Dog also changed the thoughts of the character to be - - instead of italics. Finally dog changed chapter 3 completely to make the mc not seem like a homicidal maniac and introduced a important character in chapter 3.What happened to do in the three years that dog was away? Was dog at college and now needs money to eat? Was dog off in space after successfully becoming a astronaut and has now returned home with a completed novel or two? The answer is actually quite plain dog graduated from highschool and was supposed to only spend a year at dogs owners house to choose what major dog wanted to go to college for.Dog didn't do that and is still stuck with dogs owners and is sick of being a neet. Dog wants to move and buy doggy food, but dog is antisocial and doesn't want to work a simple 9 to 5 job for the rest of dogs life. Dog is a reader before dog is a author and the reason why dog got into writing was because dog wanted to write a novel without all the things dog finds annoying. Dog spent the first year reading various novels and dropping various novels. Dog is all caught up and has to much free time on dogs paws. The first year that Dog took off was the very same year that qidan came out so dog was naturally overloaded with free chapters. But now that pemium exists dog naturally has to limit the amount dog can read. Dog is addicted to reading like my very own readers and can understand your frustrations for dog disappearing for 3 years.Dog decided that dog will go back to writing 2 years ago. Dog wanted a decent stockpile incase dog has any other emergency so dog didn't post for a year but then dog decided to change the point of view which took another year.Dog has a patreon page https://www.patreon.com/mclaindog but there isn't any tiers there or goals till dog gets a editor. My final goal is to release a chapter every other day, but as long as Dog gets a editor Dog will do two free chapters a week.Dog will probably also make a kofi for anyone who just wants to send dog a tip and can't afford to donate money monthly while maybe having bonus chapters if the tip jar gets filled.
