《World Of Elite》Chapter 31- Morning arise

Morning finally arose on Myriad city, wrapping all its habitant with the first ray of sunlight. The cold wind gradually cooled, and any mark left by the rain soon began to dry.
However, one part of the city had welcomed the new day in a completely devastated state. Crater, rubble, and most importantly, the giant corpse of a monster hovered over the place.
*Phew*
“This is officially the worst night I've ever had.” Ursa let out an exaggerated sigh while placing her left hand on her forehead. “...This week, at least.”
She fell into a not-so-deep thought, reviewing the event of the night. The first thing that she came to, was the sight of her (possibly) first love. Igris. The white-haired girl that had the characteristic of a fox.
‘Ahhhh~ I want to see her again. I wonder where she is right now?’
Arriving quickly on a distraction, Ursa recalled the fluffiness she felt from the beastgirl. She could have sworn nothing better than that voluptuous tail existed in this whole world.
‘Ahhh~ I want to touch her again~’
Fortunately, her thought didn't wander away too much as Aiden finally approached her. “Wait! Don't come here.” She said hastily, stretching her hand in front of her. “...You stink.”
Aiden's vein quickly began to poke in an annoyed fashion. “And whose fault do you think this is?” He said, trying his best to contain his anger.
“...You can't blame for not fighting that thing.” By thing, she of course referred to the orc that was alive moments ago. “...It stank.”
Fed up, Aiden finally hit her in the head. The man was covered in red, hideous blood from the hard fight he had, which was probably the reason why his scent didn't please the blonde.

“...Meanie,” Ursa caressed her gentle head as he gave her boss a pouting look. “I took care of these guys, no?”
Her hands stretched out, she pointed at the various unconscious people around her. They were Ark's Elite, and for how much strength they had boasted to the people of this world, it seemed like they were no match for the madwoman.
“You also let that bald guy escape.” Aiden pronounced and Ursa slowly averted her eyes with the obvious intent of escaping. “...With Rin, on top of that.”
“...T-that's technically not my fault.”
“You could have stopped it if you tried.” The man placed his head on his hand. “Can't believe you're the one who didn't trust me at first.”
The blonde bathed in her own sweat, finding nothing to retort to her boss. Still, she knew fleeing would be a bad idea. So, she stood still waiting nervously for her preaching.
Aiden looked at her with a disappointed look. He sighed and once again looked around him. “...?” Then he remarked something. “Where's Ed, anyway?”
In a natural response, Ursa stiffened.
Why, you might ask.
The singularity of illusion. If you go into the detail of this power, it may be a little surprising to find it categorized among psychic ability. Ursa's power work directly on the brain, making it hear or see things that don't exist.
This same power, if used correctly, can be used in many numbers of ways. And among those ways was the brain link. A small connection Ursa can put on the people of her choice as a sort of way for her power to work at any given distance.
Of course, the more link she deploys the more strained her brain would become so abusing it wasn't a good idea.

Anyway, the point here is that all members of unchained were brain-linked to Ursa so that she could haunt— have a more practical connection with them. And the only two ways for the link to disappear was whether the blonde herself took it off or...
“...You're going to laugh, boss...” The woman said, further drenched in sweat. “H-he—He's dead...”

“...To think you'd step up here, Replica.” A voice said, letting out a surprised expression.
From the remote place he was in, he looked through a faraway scene unfolding at the same time. A grey-haired girl was holding and healing Rin's unconscious corps with extreme efficiency. She was using her singularity, which appeared to be extremely similar to Celia's.
“First, Igris decided to rebel, and now you.” The voice continued contraried. “For sure, I'm going to be punished for this mission.”
He expected his objective to fail but the involvement of the unpleasant variable came as a menace to him. This wasn't an ideal situation and so, he needed to obtain something to balance the scale. Else, he'd have a hard time facing his superior.
“...However, my hands are tied right now.” He said, gritting his teeth in frustration. “With how things are unfolding in this continent, moving once again might prove to be problematic.”
He rummaged through the option available to him, trying in vain to find the perfect solution or at least the perfect compromise he could have. Ultimately, he was reduced to only watching Replica and Rin's scene along with the bald man's unconscious body.
‘...What to do?’ He asked himself.
To his surprise though, someone stopped him from thinking any further.
“Stop watching, Adonis.” This voice came from the girl he referred to as Replica. At some unknown point, the girl had somehow breached the fourth wall he had put in place and stared back directly at him.
“...My bad, I guess I should have expected this too.” He responded, trying to hide his nervousness.
Replica delicately put down Rin's body, allowing herself to stand up. “Go away.” She ordered in a menacing tone.
“Y-you shouldn't act like that Replica” The man responded after gulping down his saliva. The two of them, completely ignoring the concept of distance. “I-I can give you a chance to not anger us any furt—”
“—I said, go away.” Replica repeated, this time taking action.
Her deep dark eyes shone brightly, and with just a little concentration, Adonis was forced to close his eyes.
“Ack!” The man writhed in pain from the unexpected attack and brought his hand to cover his head.
After that, he didn't dare to use his clairvoyance on that place anymore.
“...Damnit.”
It was with reluctance that he needed to take responsibility for the failure he achieved.
