Chapter 103: New house

When I left the seal space, Kushina immediately shot Kurama a terrifying glare and angrily started reprimanding him for insulting my necklace.

"Kurama, why were you so mean to Bakorio about his family's necklace, you know it's the only thing left to him by his parents don't you? And you should also understand why his parents aren't here anymore"

Kurama started squirming in distress recalling that he was the cause of that kid being parentless right now before he started yelling back "Shut up you idiot, the way I talk is none of your business"

Minato simply watched all of this unfolding without saying anything while clearly deep in thought, but then he noticed Kushina's hair starting to stand up and he knew things weren't going to end well so he quickly arrived behind her and held back as she almost rushed at Kurama to hit him while yelling

"What the hell did you call me? It seems you want to get beaten- eh Minato let go of me, I will teach this arrogant fox how to speak to an elegant and smart woman like me"

Minato couldn't help but become bewildered for an instant 'Smart I can give you that but elegant?'. Minato gave Kushina a long look as he kept searching which part of her was elegant and it brought his doom when she noticed it because the next thing that happened is all of Kushina's anger seemed to disappear as she smiled warmly at Minato and said with an eerily calm voice

"It seems you don't believe I'm smart and elegant"

Minato seeing the scary look on her face and devilish tone, started feeling his spine tingling as sweat started dripping from his head and quickly said "Of course I belie-"

However, before he could even finish his sentence, all the calmness disappeared from Kushina's face as her long red hair rose in the air while separated into 9 parts like Kurama's tails and she sent him flying through the air by a devastating uppercut.

Kurama who was looking at this started having a bad feeling seeing the gruesome fate of her own husband that loved her so much... and it only grew when Kushina started slowly walking toward him with the same creepy smile on her face she just had with Minato.

"Stay away from me…" said Kurama as he sprung up to his feet and started backing away slowly, yet this red-haired nightmare didn't answer his pleas…

Meanwhile, outside the seal space, I started packing the rest of my belongings while thinking about Kurama's reaction when I mentioned the necklace and it bothered me that he was hiding something from me...

Meanwhile, I was completely oblivious that doubt was raising in Minato's heart who laying down on the seal space pretending to be dead from Kushina's punch about my wrong perception of time and the added killing intent in my heart, and he already started connecting some dots…

'What could be the reason for him to lie to me?' I was really puzzled by Kurama's reaction ' I don't think he cares much about these things to the point that he would lie to hide this information from me, unless… he was instructed to do so!'

When my thoughts reached this point, my eyes couldn't help but light up 'could it be something related to the sage of six paths?'

This intrigued me and I decided to investigate this item more in the future 'I will make sure to have you spill out everything you know about this in the future' I thought coldly…

A few minutes later, I finally gathered my belongings which I didn't have much of in the first place since the boy previously was quite poor and not to mention living, he was barely surviving… Then I started walking with Naruto to the new Uchiha compound that was near the center of the village.

There, we were greeted by a very enthusiastic Sasuke who was accompanied by his mother Mikoto and I couldn't help but smile warmly when I saw them as I said "Hey there you guys, how are you?"

However, before anyone could respond, Mikoto quickly rushed to my side and started checking my body with a frown on her face that only started loosening when she found out that I was completely fine.

Letting out a long sigh, Mikoto hugged me and said " I'm glad you are okay, Fugaku said you were injured in the fight against Danzo and that Hiashi-san took care of you but my heart couldn't rest until I saw you with my own eyes"

My eyes widened at this, and I simply stood there frozen as time seemed to go slow as this scene kept repeating itself inside my head until I finally let out a tired sigh and thought

'Nothing really beats having someone that truly cares for you without any ulterior motives…'

Then I simply enjoyed this hug that lifted some of the weight on my heart…

"Don't worry I'm fine, it was only some superficial injuries that were quickly treated by a medical-nin" I said with a smile to ease her worries

However, after her heart was at ease she started reprimanding me with a serious face" Bakorio-kun, you shouldn't involve yourself in the adult's fights, you already did too much for the clan so please promise me you wouldn't act recklessly again like this"

I could see that her eyes were filled with determination and she wasn't going to accept a no for an answer so I let out another sigh and said "fine I won't as long as it's not something that endangers the people close to me"

She hesitated for a moment before she nodded while feeling happy inside at how much I cared for them even though I didn't show it a lot before she said "Okay I can accept this" then she turned to Naruto and started rubbing his head gently as she said

"Hi there Naruto, are you here helping your friend move to his new house"

Naruto nodded enthusiastically as he said "Yes!" before he shot a smug look at Sasuke which annoyed him.

"Good boy" said Mikoto with a smile

But then I followed by saying "Naruto's not only helping me move my stuff, but he's going to start living with me from now on"

"Uhhhhh do I have to look at his stupid face every day now" said Sasuke who was displeased by this decision at the thought of having his rival living near him

Naruto started mocking Sasuke by sticking out his tongue and saying" Boo, you are just jealous I'm going to live with Bakorio hehehe"

And just like that, they were about to start fighting in the middle of the road forcing Mikoto to hold each of them back and gave them a good lecture about how to behave until we arrived at my new house…

Unsurprisingly, it was the same big house that was facing the clan head's house and Naruto quickly entered while marveling at how amazing it looked while Sasuke only looked at him like an idiot trying to stop him from destroying anything.

Left alone with Mikoto, she watched as I had a small smile on my face while watching Naruto and Sasuke bickering with each other so she said jokingly with a pout "You know I was planning on adopting Naruto after this situation is over but now you stole him from me"

I shook my head at her with the same smile on my face as I said "It's about time this kid experiences some happiness in his life, and I'm sure he would have been as excited about living with you as he is right now with me and maybe more, after all, you are a great mother"

Mikoto was touched by what I said so she smiled happily and rubbed my head lovingly and even my Jikininki picked up the clear happiness she was feeling right now as she said "Now that you are living this close to us, make sure to visit us more often okay?"

I didn't mind this suggestion as I enjoyed her cooking so without any hesitation I replied to her "No problem…" as we entered my new house hoping this time I would have some peace in my life…
