Chapter 88: Full upper skeleton Susanoo
While I was focusing on using the Rasengan, the Deva path Pain stood guard in front of the Naraka path in case I attack them with my chains of death as only he and the Preta path can block them and kept staring nostalgically at the Rasengan revolving in my hand...
Meanwhile, the Naraka path took this opportunity to summon the King of hell and was using this chance to restore the other 2 destroyed paths while I was distracted.
The moment I finished stabilizing my Rasengan was also the moment the King of hell spat the now restored paths back out and without hesitation, the Asura path quickly transformed his hand into a very advanced weapon for this world. A missile launcher! And he immediately fired multiple missiles in my direction.
I manipulated one of my chains and used it like a whip to break them before they get near me causing a huge explosion in the air and I took this opportunity and quickly approached them.
In my fights against Pain, I always stay careful of the Preta, Deva, Asura, and Animal paths because they are the true attacking force while the rest are only at the strong end of the jonin rank.
The human path requires touching a person for his soul extracting ability to work while the Naraka path only played the role of support by restoring the injured paths while his offense wasn't that much as the best they can do is use the Rinnegan's shared ability to summon black rods and stab me with them...
I started running in their direction with one short sword in my left hand and a Rasengan in the right trying to close the distance but I was quickly interrupted by the Deva path that raised the palm of his hand in my direction and used Bansho Tenin.
This is the ability of the Deva path that allows him to attract anything he wants to his position and it always works like a charm as I couldn't find a way to counter it yet and started quickly flying through the air which made me lose my focus on my Rasengan and it dissipated.

'Tch how annoying, I'm still not good enough at it' I thought and noticed how the Asura path manipulated his body to create something like a chain saw which he tried to puncture me with. At the same time, the Preta path was waiting for me to attack with my chains to block them and absorb my chakra.
So without hesitation, I used my chains of death and attacked everyone other then the Asura path that was on my way to distract them making sure none kept contact with the deva and preta paths chakra absorption and when I was drawn near enough to the Asura path a black skeletal hand extended from my body blocking hs chainsaw and tried to catch him by surprise and crush him.
However, realizing the danger he dodged my attack with incredible speed using the rebound of his chainsaw with my Susanoo's hand to his advantage and without giving me any chance to react. A green bird with a very weird beak came crashing down on me from the sky with incredible speed.
I quickly reacted by stabbing it with one of my chains which unsummoned it before I engaged in close combat with the Deva path using my swords while he used the black rods he conjures with his Rinnegan.
*Clang* *Clang* *Clang*
Every time I fight him, it feels like I am hitting an unmovable mountain 'my strength right now is at least 400 points and it's greatly enhanced with my nine tails first tailed beast mode yet I can't move this guy at all, his physical attribute is probably 700 at the very least Tch'
I thought while exchanging some more blows before I got interrupted by the Asura path which tried to use a sneak attack on me with his chainsaw-like tail.
I blocked it again with my Susanoo's hand and sent him far away before I noticed that the Animal path summoned an ox this time and it was rushing my way.
At the same time, the Preta path jumped on top of the Ox to block any death chains that try to attack it while the Deva path put even more pressure on me with his attacks.

I could feel that my Nine tails chakra was getting exhausted faster and faster so I quickly sent one of my chains at Deva path to put some distance between us before I bit my thumb and used "Summoning Jutsu: Rashomon"
Three huge Rashomon gates appeared in front of the path of the charging Ox, but I couldn't use this opportunity to hide by blocking their vision of me because the Asura path was still behind me like a hunter trying to find any chance to take my life and one of the annoying abilities of Rinnegan is that the six paths share each others vision...
*BOOM*
The Ox destroyed the Rashomon gates but his charge also stopped, however our fight was far from ending...
After a few minutes of fighting, I was very exhausted from overusing my Mangekyo Sharingan but in the end I was actually able to summon the whole version of the upper body skeletal Susanoo.
It was completely black and had three horns on its head, two on the sides and one was extending from its forehead and its eyes shone with a pale eerie white light....
Using it, I was finally able to reach a stalemate with the six paths of pain but not for long as I could feel myself slowly going blind and what made it worse was suddenly getting hit by a tailed beast bomb from a certain Gyuki which I couldn't dodge while having my hands full with Pain.
*BOOOM*
A huge explosion impacted the area and the blast even tried to swallow the paths of pain but the Preta path and the Deva path quickly stood on its way and defended the Animal path and Naraka path respectively behind them.
Meanwhile, my situation wasn't that good. Taking on an attack like a tailed beast bomb from the eight tails is no joke, and even though I was using my Susanoo. The skeletal version alone wasn't enough to block such a high-level attack head-on like this.
After getting hit in the back most of my Susanoo's back bones broke which made it scream in agony before completely vanishing.
Meanwhile, I was also hit by the explosion which severely burned my back but I didn't break any bones thanks to the Susanoo that took the majority of the damage as well as my strong Phy attribute as well as the addition of the new Akimichi bloodline.
Before long, the explosion settled and a shocked killer B along with a heavily injured Raikage arrived at the fight scene between me and Pain which now turned into a huge deep hole other than the location pain was standing on.
"Yo, where did that huge black skeleton go??" Asked Killer B while looking at my heavy injuries while the Raikage yelled directly in anger when he noticed the pattern in my eyes.
"You are the kid that caused us all those casualties!!"
I gave them a quick look and I noticed that I was already seeing them in triples from the damage to my vision so I knew it was time to leave but I wanted to ask something first that was weighing on my heart
"What happened to the Hyuga you were fighting?" This question was addressed to Killer B that was supposed to be held back by Hiashi.
Killer B's expression turned somewhat respectful and I understood everything that happened from it 'Hiashi gave it his all huh...'
And B quickly confirmed my thoughts
"That Hyuga wanted me dead so I went ahead and took his head instead"
Even though I knew I was going to go back in time, I could help but feel sad before I gave them one last look
"You can die now" said the Raikage as he rushed at me, but I simply said 'Load' in my head, and with another month lost of my life I returned a day in time...

A legendary dragon... It has been told in the stories for hundreds of years. Some say it keeps a mountain of treasure in its cave, some say it is a vicious beast, some say it protects the village nearby, some claim it can grant their wishes, and some just think it's nothing more than a fairytale. He is not. The dragon is very real, although he isn't bothered by what people think of him in the slightest. He also doesn't have a grand treasure, nor does he grant wishes, like a magical genie. He is not interested in eating humans either. And as for protecting them… well. This is the story of the time before the legends, how they came to life and a dragon in the quest of his snooze. In a nutshell, this is a simple, light-hearted story with a dragon in it. What I have in mind is a relatively short one compared to most of the works on this site, but we'll see where it goes. This is my first attempt at writing something like this, so please be patient and kind in pointing out mistakes. As for the posting schedule... let's say it will be sporadic. Hope you enjoy reading, as much as I do while writing it… THE STORY IS NOT DROPPED, JUST SLOW ON THE UPDATES. Cover art by Nane, aka me. (Cross-posted on Scribble Hub.)
8 176The Rocky Shore
This is a LitRPG series. Every story you read here takes place in the same virtual world, with the same rules and limitations. Characters will travel, explore vast and dangerous realms, overcome obstacles, meet one another, enter into conflicts with one another, forge alliances, make horrible mistakes, and occasionally just die. A technological singularity has been achieved, and humanity has been trapped in a virtual world by a super-intelligent, self-improving artificial intelligence. This program is not malicious at all. In fact, it desires nothing except the happiness and fulfillment of every human it has copied into itself. If its decisions seem strange to you, that's only because its reasoning is far beyond ours. It recognizes that humans cannot be happy without enemies to overcome and goals to achieve, as well as the possibility of failure and death. The world it has created may be heaven or hell, depending on the free choices of the people it contains. The non-player characters who live in this realm have no idea that they are part of a vast computer system. They seem real enough, but there is no way to tell if they are truly self-aware. Even the system that created them isn't certain. This is world in which all the things that humans are used to dealing with in the abstract: skills, talents, knowledge, reputation, social status, morality, even love, exist as readable statistics that players can see and interact with objectively. This has many curious and complex effects on how people perceive themselves and the world around them. A few quick notes on the system: -Death is permanent -The system interface can only be accessed at certain locations. -Magic of diverse kinds is available and useful, but is not a good substitute for skills, physicallity, or mental prowess. Non-magical characters are common and competitive. -There is no inventory system. Characters must physically carry everything they wish to have on their person. -Healing is slow and difficult. Magical Healing is all but unheard of. Protagonists: Raymond Garrison- A man in his late twenties who used to work as a forklift operator in Idaho. His path leads him to work as a mercenary, protecting a small community of humans and goblins from the Seelie Fae who wish to exterminate them. Patricia Chandler- A elderly British woman who arrives in this new world with her grandson Kyle and her granddaughter Elizabeth. Never having dealt with rpg game mechanics before, she is in for a rough time, but she is determined to keep her grandkids alive in a world full of danger and evil. Jamil Mesbah- An Egyptian woman who once worked as a technical writer. Her path leads into a vast and hostile forest, where she must master both her magical abilities and her survival skills in order to succeed. Enjoy your travels, friends.
