《A Mouse's Grand System》Training

The next few days went by quite uneventful. Wake up, Train, train some more and go to bed. It was the same routine for a few days before Arvion noticed that he wasn't gaining any more XP. It seemed like he was at his limit for practice and would need something more practical than feeling around in the dark with no clue of what he was doing. He continued practicing for the rest of the week nonetheless as he wanted to create his own spell.
He knew it would be foolish to attempt such a feat at such a low level but he knew he had to try or when he went on his first hunt he would be like a cat in water, struggling for air. He needed something reliable and that meant he needed skills. And the only way to get a combat skill right now was by creating his own spell.
He started with simple concepts, creating weapons out of the shadows that he could create. It started as a few simple ones such as daggers and swords to more complex ones like katanas and brass knuckles. Each weapon could be controlled in slightly different ways and after a few days of practice, he realized that with his new and improved Magic Power level he could use them to a deadly degree. Daggers would deftly lunge and attack his targets while brass knuckles would block and slam into his opponent with brute mental force. The spears actually had enough strength to pierce through basic materials and with enough finesse he could even drill into trees if he rotated the spear in the right way before the strike.
But even after practicing for a whole week he still couldn't get a single skill to show up. And after a few explanations from Axel, he knew why. It was because the spells had already been created before. So unless someone taught it to him he would never be able to create a spell skill based around it. Arvion also found out that even if you could replicate the effects of a spell through Mana manipulation it would be half as powerful as the spell skill as it got amplified by the forces that create it. It was a strange phenomenon but as he described it even the best master wizard wouldn't be able to compete in a competition against someone who had the actual skill. It would be like an imitation versus the real thing.

This all meant that his spell had to be unique something only he had created and come up with. That knocked all the basic ideas out of the ballpark and made it to where only the strange ideas would work. No more shadow daggers and spears but perhaps something a bit more... unique.
He spent another week working on coming up with some idea that could have been original. Invisibility? Scratch that, someone already did it. Shadow Substitution? Out of luck. Rotating Spear of Death? Already done. Everything, no matter how bizarre, had already been created to Arvions dismay.
That was until the last day of the week.
'I wonder what would happen if I tried to just do something completely random?' Arvion thought to himself as the heavy noise of the ax hitting the wood could be heard from Axel a few feet away.
'Perhaps like what happened when I went out of control. A hundred tendrils smacking around without control. Who would create a spell-like that? The sensation of being completely out of control is the direct opposite of a spell, which is the epitome of control.' Arvion thought to himself as he let his magic take hold of his body and spread around him.
Black tendrils blotted out the small surrounding area as the tendrils smashed into his surroundings causing a large portion of damage to his surroundings. But the only thing he did control was when it tried to strike himself. He would then move the tendril to the side letting it strike the ground harmlessly. After about an hour of messing around, he got into the perfect rhythm of control. It was almost like he was letting a wild dog attack him while stopping him from running away or being too vicious.
'I actually did it?!' Arvion thought "Why not call it Outbreak?"

'System opens up the Outbreak skill'

Outbreak LV: 1
This spell costs anywhere from 1 mana to 100 mana per minute of spell use. Each mana point spent in this spell causes this spell to be more powerful than before giving a 1% increase in power per mana spent on it only being at its most powerful at 100 mana.
This spell creates a plethora of mana tendrils that lash at any surrounding organisms and living creatures violently dealing 1-2 damage per strike, striking once every few seconds. Accuracy is low.
At higher levels, this spell will have a higher mana cap and deal more damage and attack quicker as well as some hidden effects.

'That skill looks crazy powerful!'
Axel finally finished chopping the wood as he sat down the ax heavily upon the floor. He turned around and looked at Arvion with a confused look on his face. Arvion was currently surrounded by a shadow that was striking wildly around him dealing major damage to the trees around him.
"What are you doing Arvion?! Are you okay?!" Axel yelled in a worried voice.
Arvion heard the worried voice of the boy and quickly ended the spell before dancing around his surroundings with happiness.
'I'm perfectly fine familiar. I just created my first spell.' Arvion said with pride.
"Familiar- why do you keep saying that?! And creating spells is basically impossible how did you create one in only two weeks?" Axel asked in astonishment.
'Because... I'm the grandest little mouse in the whole world!' Arvion said with confidence. He was certain that his system was the grandest of them all. He was certain that with this spell he wouldn't struggle hunting with Axel in the forest. He was probably stronger than any mouse back in his home world by now and stronger than most other household mice in this world as well. He was going to be the grandest mouse. No the grandest beast or being on this planet no matter what it took.

The Unsorcerer
DISCLAIMER: The cover pic is not my original work. Credits goes to the Illustrator. This is a story of a man named Cipher, a 21st Century man reincarnated in a world where magic is the way of life. In the continent of Iarica, the people of this land are able to wield the crystals or magic stones for whatever purpose they desire. These people are called "Sorcerers", blessed individuals who are favored by the Gods and gifted with an ability to manipulate "Mana", the energy of the World and the energy source that makes all of the machines run. Cipher in contrast, is not. He is an "Unsorcerer", a person unable to wield the crystals and mana and eventually magic itself. Because of this "defect", he is shunned, ridiculed, and abused by most people and eventually by the whole society. Little did Iarica and her denizens know, this so-called reject of society is more than what he seems... Note: This humble Author-san is not a native English speaker, so there will be grammatical errors. Also the chapters are short, about 1K words. However I will try my best efforts on reaching the 2k-4k words threshold. Another note is that this will be a Harem fic, so to anyone who are not fan of the genre this may not be your cup of tea. Any criticsm are welcome as long it can help me to improve my writing skills since I'm just a newcomer in this scene.

SWTOR: The Alpha Legacy - Alexandra 'Under the Black'
This was the first character backstory and first full story in The Old Republic era after 'Project Alpha: A Summary: 'Old Republic to Current Operational Era'. This one was actually written much later. Several of the full stories were done and there was a need to introduce the Mother of several of the main characters. Much later on I started a timeline and this seemed to fit nowhere else, but right after the introduction story: Alexandra De'nabre lost everything on one of the moons of Felucia. But life found her again. As a Mirialan Jedi, she was sworn to the Unity and to the Force; casting both away once she believed both left her. The Force finds her again. And brings her back a part of her life she believed she lost. Her children. But in a cruel twist of fate, the very Republic she once defended is suddenly out to get her. Not because in her new life as an infamous pirate she committed crimes against them. The children she lost are now wards of the Republic and a special project called: Alpha. And they will stop at nothing to keep Alexandra from reclaiming them.

It's Hard to be a Hero in a Parallel World
A hero is transported from the real world into a parallel world similar to the video game he's been obsessed with for the past few weeks. The problem is, this game is way too difficult, especially for a nerdy gamer boy to survive. He decides to leave the hero-duty to someone who is actually competent while he looks for a way home. He hopes his knowledge of the game will help him stay out of trouble. Unfortunately, as one would imagine, the normal events of a game would change drastically when the main character is nowhere to be found. Read as the unlikely hero gets into trouble with his new companions, while trying to survive life in this parallel world. This is an original story that takes inspiration from and pokes fun at many novels, video games, anime, and the stereotypes and tropes that appear in those media.
